Jonathan Lopez | 4726 comments No worries, Gail. I sent one off to you a couple days ago and am hoping the combined forces of overseas kayak and kangaroo post will get it to you before the new year begins. But in any case, a very merry Christmas to you and the family and many happy returns of the season.

Don't believe that attitudes here mostly are mild.

message 53: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm not sure what that means, Scout.

message 54: by [deleted user] (new)

I suppose they can at times. Usually in response to combative attitudes...in my experience.

WHAT'S THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN?

Don't invoke the wrath of the Ficus tree."

The Ficus doesn't have wrath. It just provides shade and shelter in the time-out corner.

message 58: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Ficus = benign friend of the ages

message 59: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 13814 comments Really? Were you beaten with a ficus? You were probably told to get behind the ficus. Or maybe I missed when it got angry.

message 60: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 13814 comments Fair enough. Your warning is a good one, regardless of any dithering over who inflicts the repercussions.

So some lady walks around all day with you on her head? There must be easier ways to make a living.

message 63: by Kevin (new)

Kevin (ksprink) | 11469 comments that reminds me of a scene from birdcage where agador spartacus (hank azaria) says "weeg? wheech wig?"

message 64: by [deleted user] (new)

I love that movie!

You know, it's funny how different people's impressions of a group are. I tend to avoid political discussions for the most part, for the above reasons. But, my feeling, on the whole, is that this is an incredibly fun, smart, welcoming group of people. We laugh, we cry, we spat, we glomp. It's all good.

message 65: by Kevin (new)

Kevin (ksprink) | 11469 comments misha - should have been. TR was my kinda guy

message 66: by Kevin (new)

Kevin (ksprink) | 11469 comments something else you should know: kevin is a badass

message 67: by [deleted user] (new)

I love that Kevin rides his hog wearing low top converse! :)

message 68: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments Wait, does Kevin think he is a badass for proceeding with caution on his hog?

message 69: by [deleted user] (new)

...and he thinks he's a badass because he's riding it without a helmet. (Or is riding without a helmet allowed in the US?)

message 70: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments It is allowed in many States.

Gotcha on the Road King. Definitely worthy of showing off.

We should probably oh and ah a bit for him. :)

message 71: by evie (new)

evie (ecie) | 4437 comments Kevin's smile is pretty cool.

message 72: by [deleted user] (new)

Oooh, and aaaah. ;)

message 73: by [deleted user] (last edited Dec 29, 2012 09:05AM) (new)

A badass bike to be sure, but what you don't get from the video is what's playing on Kevin's earbuds as he lives to ride, rides to live and salutes this mortal coil with a hearty FTW and a stiff middle finger: Kajagoogoo

message 74: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments Ahhhhh, oooooh. :D

message 75: by Kevin (new)

Kevin (ksprink) | 11469 comments He thinks that because he is. He also thinks talking in 3rd person makes him sound cooler. BTW-that's his son playing guitar in the background track.

My son just gave me this vid on Christmas Day and I was trying to find a way to subtly post it then I said what the heck. No helmet law in IN. We are free to smash our heads like pumpkins if we choose.

The Crimson Fucker (tcf123) Ok... I can live with this here rules, Bunny. but about that grammar one... uh, chicks dig how I talk. Can I claim amnesty after I explain I learned English by playing Nintendo with a dictionary?

I just looked at my watch. It says it's either 25, or 6 to 4.

message 90: by Jim (new)

Jim | 6484 comments Thanks Phil, because as I was walking down the street today a pretty lady looked at me and said her diamond watch had stopped cold dead.
