Susan | 6406 comments Maynard is my next door neighbor's name. He is not cute.

message 302: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Maynard is German for . . . Maynard.

Mayonnaise is French for an emulsion consisting of oil, egg, vinegar, condiments, and spices.

Lobstergirl | 24778 comments Mod
Actually it started out as Mahonnaise. It became Mayonnaise due to an uncorrected typo in an 1841 cookbook.

message 305: by Félix (last edited Jan 31, 2013 09:01PM) (new)

Félix (habitseven) Are you sure it wasn't McMahonnaise?

message 306: by [deleted user] (new)

The McFrench are always confused about spelling, or was it which side of the channel they lived on?

message 307: by Lobstergirl, el principe (new)

Lobstergirl | 24778 comments Mod
O mon McDieu.

message 308: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments French not Jamaican.

message 309: by [deleted user] (new)

What ja-maic em do Susan?

message 310: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Yes a shot of rum makes it better.

Could you guys make your avatars even more similar? There are still a few details that don't match.

message 312: by Susan (last edited Jan 31, 2013 09:13PM) (new)

Susan | 6406 comments Don't tempt me.

::whips out new page::

message 313: by [deleted user] (new)

message 317: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments Are you suggesting we have sexual role play?

message 318: by [deleted user] (last edited Jan 31, 2013 09:22PM) (new)

*wonders how much it's going to cost me in bribes to get my sock puppets through the moderators*

message 319: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments Someone has a lot of explaining to do.

How dare you. Those innocent monkeys. They look like baby monkeys.

message 321: by [deleted user] (new)

Dang-it I've lost my frog!

message 322: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments They are babies!

message 323: by Susan (last edited Jan 31, 2013 09:28PM) (new)

Susan | 6406 comments Is this one it?

message 324: by [deleted user] (new)

I can't see the picture for some reason.

Looks like I will be a yellow lizard for a while. I am off to drinks & dinner with some girlfirends.

message 325: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments Gail, this one has nice color.

message 326: by Susan (last edited Feb 01, 2013 07:20PM) (new)

Susan | 6406 comments Fuck if I am not slow tonight. I should change my avatar to a turtle.

message 328: by [deleted user] (new)

I can see the picture now! Yes that was my little frog. I love the one in msg414. Very very handsome.

We are getting turtles next weekend. I think I might change to a turtle then. Murray River Short Necks. Two babies.

message 329: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments Turtles! How exciting! I bet they are going to be unbelievably cute.

::runs to google pictures of Murray River baby turtles::

message 330: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments Um, those turtles are sooo cute! I now require pictures of your baby turtles when you get them. Super pretty please.

Phil | 11837 comments Posting here purely for the symmetry of avatars.

message 332: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments An army of me.

:)

message 333: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) I'm glad there's only one of me here. I shouldn't have said that, I'm guessing.

What really makes it fun is when people start taking the names of other people as well as their profile picture.

message 334: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments That would be terribly confusing.

message 335: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) We had an outbreak of such foolishness a while back. I think I may have instigated one evening when I was bored.

I think Sally became John at one point.

You would do such a thing. We better keep you from boredom.

I don't know about any John.

message 338: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) They're all Johns.

message 339: by Susan (last edited Feb 01, 2013 08:45PM) (new)

Susan | 6406 comments Every single one?

Side note: Little pointed at your avatar earlier today and said, "Ee ee".

message 340: by Félix (last edited Feb 01, 2013 08:45PM) (new)

Félix (habitseven) Yup. And the married ones, too.

message 341: by Susan (last edited Feb 01, 2013 08:49PM) (new)

Susan | 6406 comments Hmm.

message 342: by Aliyah (new)

Aliyah | 369 comments Some random things I still don't know about the moderators:

Why does Barb crave poutine and peeps?

Why does LG have a profile pic of a bird and not a lobster. Does she regularly eat lobsters?

Is Sarah's surname really Pi?

Sarah | 13814 comments Aliyah wrote: "Is Sarah's surname really Pi?

Nope. It's a nickname (well, Pie) and also the first two letters of my last name. I did that to differentiate between me and the other Sarahs around here. In school I was stuck with Sarah P since there were always three or four Sarahs in all my classes. I prefer Pi to P.

Pi makes me think of Life of Pi and Pi in mathematics (used to calculate area of circles). It sounds great.

message 346: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 13814 comments I like when Sally calls me by random irrational numbers instead of my name.

message 347: by Susan (last edited Feb 22, 2013 02:37PM) (new)

Susan | 6406 comments Hee. Barb.

I always want to call Sarah Pi, Pi-diddy. I refrain but it takes all I got.

Irrational numbers make me think of imaginary numbers and complex numbers:

-6i is a beaut.
