Just posting because I am tired of seeing our team at the bottom of the thread. We're like the Thursday-Friday-Saturday team. Only here 3 days a week, since that is all it takes to get it done.
Haha I agree. I end up reading the other team threads after we all finish. I guess someone needs to step up and say something??? Like any new series that you want to rave about?I will say that while finding a book with fire in the title I ended up adding 5-6 more books to my TBR. Some of them seem pretty steamy too. Although I might wait in case we get another song with fire in it.
Yes, it is quite lonely here during the week.I know what you mean Manvir, except for me it's adding books with a purple cover because that is what I'm reading for the new SOS challenge.
Lol Shosho you always find better pictures then I ever could. That sexy Mr Clean you posted on your team thread is still giving me hot flashes.
Hey guys , yes we are loners and our thread is boring during the week :(@ Manvir and Lauren i search by the listopia guess how many books i added to my TBR last week (and every time) hehehe .
Wait! You mean we're NOT supposed to add to our TBR while playing these games? I thought that was the purpose...add all the books everyone else is reading ;) LOL
Well I don't know about you guys, but it was definitely my purpose, lol!! Now I just need more time to read!!
Don't we all, CaroB! Of course, I would probably read more if I wasn't on GR as often but what would be the fun in that?
Amen! to more time to read. After the trip to Louisiana, the girls and I went to Macon to see Hubs Saturday and drove home yesterday. I am TIRED of being away from home. I get little reading time when I'm not here.I've already logged in some reading today though. Mallory is sick and had me up at 2am :(
Lauren wrote: "Don't we all, CaroB! Of course, I would probably read more if I wasn't on GR as often but what would be the fun in that?"Exactly!!
Sounds like you've been through the ringer, Susan. Hope Mallory feels better soon and you can get some much needed sleep.

I hope your daughter feels better soon... and that she gets plenty of rest during the day too so you can catch up on missed sleep... or read some more ;-)
Manvir wrote: "Lol Shosho you always find better pictures then I ever could. That sexy Mr Clean you posted on your team thread is still giving me hot flashes."Well I was going to commnet here, but now I am off to go check out Mr. Clean.
Thank ladies! I'm hoping for a nap later, but have some errands to run first. And of course the books are calling to me lol
Lauren wrote: "Like those Polka Dots Lisa Kay. Are they edible or only for decoration?"I don't know. I thought they were chocolate...but they look cloth-covered on closer inspection.
Mr Clean will not disappoint you Dawn.I understand how you feel Susan I get in a funk if I go too long without a good book to read. Hope your daughter is better and enjoy your nap.
Lisa Kay wrote: "Lauren wrote: "Like those Polka Dots Lisa Kay. Are they edible or only for decoration?"I don't know. I thought they were chocolate...but they look cloth-covered on closer inspection."
I think I may have tried to eat them just to make sure, lol!
Hmm I think they might be hard candies. To me they kinda look like they have a shell... Just to be safe though I'll wait till Lauren tests them first lol.
It was a long afternoon... Mr. Clean led to an exploration of ShoShos Yellow board on pintrest... and so on. Lesson of the day if you are going to take your computer to a Girl Scout meeting and open pinterest to show the girls a craft, open the exact page before you have the whole troop gathered round. Chances are someone from this group that you are following has been posted some of Mr. Cleans friends. I had some pretty fast scrolling to do.

Heck no I didn't unfollow you! Mr. Kilt wouldn't let me.
8-10 years old is ok, to see a man shirtless right? No one said anything at the time. But I felt bad.
I am just hoping no one goes home and tells thier mom that thier leader had half naked men on her computer at the meeting.

ROFLMAO!!! I can't stop laughing!!!
Song Potentials are up. 1.Damiellar from Teal We Read Again - She Hates Me by Puddle of Mudd (2002)
2.Nikita from Emerald City Readers - Little Talks by Of Monsters and Men (2011)
3.Judy from Team Red - I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston (1992)
4.Megan from Orange Crush - Airplanes by B.O.B. featuring Haley Williams (2010)
5.Gisela from Yellow - Viva la Vida by Coldplay (2008)
I think the songs are getting harder and harder. Here's to hoping there is a really awesome book out there free on amazon that I have never heard of, because I have 6-9 point books. Boo.
Picking a book is half the challenge lol.I enjoy that part best. Trying to find a high point book but still something I will enjoy also.

Hopefully I've found a book. A Million Suns
If the mods aprove it, it should be 11 points.
Set on a ship matches location in lyrics
Cover has the ship on it.
The part I'm waitng on is plot. I'm not sure if I can use set on a ship for setting and plot, but the song to me is about someone slowly dying. The book has the ship is dying and inturn then all the inhabitants will die if the ship doesn't carry them on.
If not I have a back up book for 10 points.
I have two options both worth 11 points (if approved by mods):
Cover: House on the cover - 2 points
Plot: Battles with immortals - 3 points
Setting: Published 2011 - 6 points
Cover: Ship on the cover - 2 points
Plot: Voyage - 3 points
Setting: Published 2011 - 6 points
Are you all done reading yet lol!
Ooh I think I've found one that's good for setting, plot, title and cover. And has the bonus word. I'll see if I can get my hands on it.
Another possibility for 16 points:
Cover: A number of skeletons - 2 points
Plot: The heroine is an undead on a quest to take down the company that made her - 3 points
Name: The heroine's name is Bryn - 5 points
Setting; Published in 2011 - 6 points
I'm reading Working Stiff and it is really good so if anyone one a great book as well as 16 points, I recommend it.
I've stuck with
. It is only 11 points, unless I find th bonus word. But I have it to start now and it is due back to the library on Monday (along with 4 others I haven't read). I've been real bad with this getting new books instead of reading what I have.
is the one I choose. I'm super surprised to actually be able to read something off my TBR for this challenge. Yay for that!
Lol that's lucky for you Alley. It's not bad so far but I'm not really into it yet either. I feel like it's moving slow but they hinted at things in her past that I really want to know about.
Week 5 - ♬ Little Talks by Of Monsters and Men (2011)
Finished 2/1/13
Rating ★★★★★
I absolutely love this series. It was such a quick read.
This story starts up 3 months after Amy is unfrozen on the ship. And goes through her journey to discover the secrets that Orion tried to hide.
I was worried that this second book wouldn't live up to the first or that there would be a horrible cliffhanger. While the story is not finished there was a good stopping point for the story. Enough of a HFN ending for me.
Points: 11
Setting: 6-on a ship the entire story
Plot: 3-the characters are on a voyage to a new home planet.
Cover: 2-Ship on the cover
I think there was every kind of walk & pout except a stomp. Boo.

Please be aware that as this is your 2nd week in a row finishing first, no-one from this team will have the chance to choose a song for next week's list.
Well done ladies!! Your work here is done, for now :-)
