It isn't that we don't want you here, we were worried you wern't coming back. You had been away a while. Of course your family should come first, but since you hadn't checked in we were all unaware of your situation.

It is just a game, but the point of any game is to have fun and do your best to try to win. Some of us are just a bit more competative when it comes to bragging rights.

I don't think that comment was necessary.

No one said anything about dumping anyone. We were stratigicly planning because we had a missing member. It has nothing to do with not winning this week it was about playing a game.

It is definitely NOT the case that we don't want you with us - you are a part of our team and I'm sorry if any of our comments about wondering where you were offended you in any way.
You are absolutely right that your family comes first and that it is just a game and the purpose is to have fun. It is just, as Dawn says, that we hadn't heard from you and a couple of players in other groups disappeared so we were wondering if something might have happened - I hope you do decide to continue with us.

Lauren, that was nice of you. Not only is Dani new to the game she is new to goodreadds. She is only able to access internet on her nook and I know she has alot of problems with the internet. Yes, I am Dani's mother-in-law so I suggested this site to her. Thought it would be good for her as we live way out in the country and she doesn't get out alot with having two young daughters. Hopefully she will stick around.

We are GR addicts so when someone not active for days we assume they are not interested or have something more important like your case .

I am really hoping the songs get posted earlier this week. I need to get a book for each and have it on hand in case.

Just to keep you all updated I may not be around as much Friday and Saturday.

I am a Girl Scout Leader and this Saturday I am hosting a cookie rally for all the girls in our service unit. I've got to make sure all my craft and activities are ready for Saturday morning. This is the first time I've taken on an event for this many girls. Planning for 6 is a lot different than planning for 50!

Anyway I am going to get as much done as possible today and tomorrow so Friday is open for reading time. I'll check in Friday to get the song, but I may not be online much until I am done, or Saturday afternoon after the rally is done.

It varries across the country as to when they sell them. Colorado starts on January 27th, but we actually have cookies on hand when we sell. Some places take orders first. I know Southern Missouri is currently taking orders, where Northern Missouri sold thiers before Christmas. Different areas get different cookies too. I had to order some from a friend in Missouri because I can't get those. :(

It is lots of work, but I love working with the girls.

I just looked at the spreadsheet we got 10.75 points for Dani this week and 3 points for Day 5 giving us weekly points of 53.75

Our 2 week total is 118.75. Which puts us in 2nd place, just behind Yellow at 122 and Emerald City Readers at 118

Thanks for the welcome ladies. Yes Dawn I am entered into other yearly challenges since I'm a book challenge junkie. I find it's the best way to find new series I might not have read other wise.

I'm going to school in the mornings so don't usually get online till the afternoon my time, but after that I`m on for most of the day. My weekends are free so I love the fact that the songs get posted on Friday and not at the beginning of the week.

Well, I don't seem to have any high point books to match songs but I have at least 1 book that matches setting for almost all. One I've been toying with buying the last one, so if it gets picked that is my sign I should buy it. And the other I've got for name and title.

I figure I've got at least 9-10 points for each with out knowing plot and shelf details. I'm not going to worry much more about it today. I've got gift bags to go make.

Setting can also be a place mentioned in the song. You've got a friend is kind of an iffy place (I'm not sure if the mods will accept the one I found), but Alley-Oop was pretty easy one to find for me.

6 weeks ? oh my god ! i had 10 semesters to memorize and now i think i forgot 75% of it (but i'm studying graphic design now) that's okay , i think ?
