you know, most sequels never best the first book, but the Lux books did. i'm just afraid now abt Origin...the hero and heroine apart always causes something bad to happen...getting a bad vibe recently! but i'm sure JLA will surprise and please us as usual!any1 else share my fears?

I can't believe they ended Opal the way they did. That's just torture when a sequel is months away. I can't even talk to people about it. I'm a 27 year old straight guy and I've been catching enough flak for reading romance from my friends so there's no way for me to discuss it with them since they'd never read it.I need closure, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW. I even punched a damn hole in the plaster wall next to me after having seen how long I have to wait to read Origins. To add insult to injury I couldn't even get my hand out of the wall afterwards without calling my damn neighbour for help.

Is it just me or does this tv show that CW has picked up sound a whole lot like the lux series. I can't see anything anywhere though that Oxygen has anything to do with the Lux series. Jennifer L. Armentrout is not listed as a writer anywhere on the show. aahhhhh too many months left to contemplate!! do you ever wonder is Katy and Daemon will ever have to fight each other? or Katy and Dee? cause then i'm pretty sure Daemon would take Dee's side and that breaks my heart...and what if Katy cuts a deal with the DOD like Blake to hunt down hybrids (not that she'd ever hurt them...right?)uff i can't accept the though of her turning into something evil, changed by the DOD's torture methods. it's good if she's stronger like Daemon but not if her personality changes...someone distract me with other theories!! my final's are coming up in May and I won't be able to theorise then so i have to do it now!!

another theory? i've been thinking about Dee/Ash/Andrew helping Blake to betray Katy and Daemon. Dee and Andrew would have their revenge and they've been spending an awful lot of time alone together. Ash would just get Daemon, or so she'd think. i hate how she keeps bringing up her and Daemon's sexual past. and i knida hate Daemon for ever being with her just because the Elders wanted it!
one thing's been wating away at me though. you know how Daemon let Katy join them for the Mount sth mission? and Katy said he caved too easily, and she wasn't stupid...what the hell was that about?!! what was Daemon planning??

Oh.. I like that theory about Blake having that mind-jumbling power. But Daemon is supposed to be the most powerful of all the Luxens. So he would've had an idea about it, right? Or we would've seen it being mentioned in the book. But still, that's a brilliant one. Like mind-controlling compulsion, only being done w/o looking in the eye.And somehow I don't think that Katy will change into an evil personality. I've obviously missed a lot of this conversation. Since reading all the theories at once is meddling w/my head :P
AND I think, that MAYBE Blake might see where he's wrong when Chris(who I hope turns out to be a real nice guy) confronts him/makes him understand.
@Tegan - We would love a Katy POV. Like while she's still with the DOD, and being interrogated by that bitch, Nancy. And then she tries using her powers, but screws up.. something like that :O :P

And yeah, what if the DOD, or say, the Elders, do find a way to break the bond, and bring it out as a potion, mix it into Daemon's drink? He'd be too agonized to even notice. What if those Elders inform no one, let Daemon drink it, and make a pact w/DOD to keep/kill Katy and never to disturb the Luxens again?

*raises both hands and dies of a heart attack* i fell i love with these books from the beginnig but the only thing i hate about these books are that daemon never said i love you to katy (did he or did he not because i cant remember didnt he only say it at the end of opal when the arum took her) and i think my heart broke buti have no doubt that daemon loves katy @ books-choclates-one direction you got that nobody portrays daemon better than pepe toth himself!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oooh, such sadistic and unhappy theories do down me...I just want Katy and Daemon in each others' arms together forever... (yeah i know I sound like a little girl who believes in unicorns) but still...Well, the only thing that would make up for a lack of a reunion in Origin is if I get to read about Katy's new powers. Daemon's stronger than Chris, so Katy's stronger than Blake. The DOD will think they broke Katy, and even make Daemon think it, but I believe Katy will get herself out. I mean, it's time we see their strength as individuals, right?
Sure, they'll be tested in twisted ways, but that will only make the ending more worth it! And did y'all forget how Katy keeps insisting she's not weak? Well, just you see, she'll come out clawing on top like the kitten she is - innocent looks, yet dangerous to mess with. Daemon's met his match, and there's nothing that can keep them apart for a whole book, so I expect them to find each other soon.
I hope I could infect y'all with my scary optimism. Know that I'm rarely wrong with my predictions of a book's ending. It's not ego but it's actually one of the few things I'm pretty confident about.

Tegan - Damn.. I like the scenario of how you end the 4th book. :O :DAnd added with Maliha's theory about Katy(Wow Maliha! You pointed out an important factor. Now that you say, I do think too, that Katy's gonna get herself out on her own. Eeeee! :D), that'd make an even more awesome POV.
Sth like: W/o the knowledge of DOD or anyone(except Chris), Blake's been helping Katy harness her power. And as stated by M, Katy's more powerful than Blake. So there's more potential in her.
So the scenario is, she's being interrogated. And she does something to anger the DOD. They try to torture her in front of Daemon. But before that procedure, as he walks in the room where she's being kept, she gets shocked and her powers do their mood-swing thingy and she ends up toasting someone(like some DOD member) and a brutal scenario follows. Blake and Chris(who is all fit and fine), side with Daemon and Katy. They fight and they win.
But let's also add here, that Daemon's already drunk that bond-breaking potion and it's NOT poisonous.
So continuing, Daemon is so in awe of Katy when she's fighting that he doesn't notice when an Arum steps out of the shadows and stabs him with Onyx.
And the book ends.
So by 'they win' I meant, they managed to escape...carrying with them a wounded Daemon. And his life force's bleeding away.
Oh duck! That cooled my adrenaline rush/excitement. I hate the idea of Daemon being hurt :/
But JLA's obviously gonna make it an ending and a book, we would die again, after completing.

OMG! Good point :) It will have to be something utterly diabolical, but for some reason I feel like he won't ask them to fulfill their side of the bargain until book for when he has them both under his thumb. Maybe something like:
(Daemon's POV):
