Francesca, please start a separate thread / discussion for your request. Just in case these are different books, it will help us avoid confusion. Thanks. :)

It's surely the same book, the story is that! ;)
The singular begin, the disguise, aunt witch, the horse's blood...
( moreover, mariachiara and me are italians both... I guess if this book wasn't italian, I would have found it for now... :( national production is more difficult to find with google, if isn't famous... *sob*)

I don't remember, but I think the place wasn't specified..

Funny fact... When the protagonist meets her aunt, the aunt recognizes her as her niece because she sings: "Ambarabà Ciccì Coccò, tre civette sul comò" an italian nursery rhyme...
Maybe was just an adaptation, maybe not...

Thanks to Tequila (on my blog).

Ritorno al Medioevo

If you want to write a synopsis of the book in Italian, I will add it to the book :)

Your description sounded young adultish to me which is how I shelved it. If it's a book for adults, we can change it.

It's okay, the target is thirteen years old... Actually is a scholastic text, along the lines of "teach and entertain"...

But the editor isn't "Nuova collana narrativa", that is the name of the collection. The publishing is "Ferraro".

A synopsis?

"Laura è una moderna ragazza come tante altre. Ha degli amici, frequenta la scuola, e il suo più grande problema è un professore di storia barboso e severo.
'Lauro' è una ragazza che vive nei secoli bui, costretta a spacciarsi per un maschio per salvaguardare se stessa. Lei e suo padre sono in viaggio alla ricerca di un luogo sicuro, fino all'incontro con un bel cavaliere e il suo liuto.
Ma le due sono forse... la stessa persona?"
