I am gaining weight too...a colleague once congratulated me with my pregnancy........I never forget that 'cos I had to explain to her that it was my muffin top......I try to sooth myself that hubby loves me whether I am thin or not but I still get upset sometimes...(when we met I was very slim)....
I know that feeling. My hubby's auntie asked me when I was due, but when I was actually pregnant no one knew. It is so disheartening.
you would think some people would be a bit tactful, eh! and I noticed usually females ask these questions.....sooooooo...did you have a girl or a boy? I love babies...mines are all grown up now. My youngest is 18

True...whenever I ask my hubby whether my peach is growing, his respond is "all I notice is how beautiful you are"...heheheheheheee
:D
:D
heheheheeeeee...I am lucky that my muffin top look cute to him but my pooch is offensive though! he treats my muffin top as a soft seat

It's funny, reading back through this thread. When I wrote my first romance, I didn't think of my heroine as BBW in my head, but she was curvy. I think ever since that first book, I've returned to the curvy girl theme more and more. There's nothing I like more than to express, in the hero's perspective, how much he loves to squeeze her flesh and enjoy her curves. At this point, I don't think I could write a skinny heroine. Most of the women I know are full-figured. And I really like bringing out an appreciation for these women in my men. Call it wishful thinking, but I love living vicariously through these relationships.
I so agree! I write skinny secondary heroines, but it's hard for me to fully relate. I was a size 8 in my twenties, but children took that away rather quickly. I have always been curvy, but now I just have more curves to love. :)

Yes I completely agree... I am a full figured woman and it's nice to have a heroine who's like me. As well as a man who appreciates her curves.
Tyanne wrote: "Yes I completely agree... I am a full figured woman and it's nice to have a heroine who's like me. As well as a man who appreciates her curves."That's good to hear, Tyanne. I have lots of skinny friends, and have even been thinner at points in my own life, but I just can't identify with a skinny heroine. When you see the world through the eyes of a full-figured gal, I don't think it ever quite changes. You automatically root for the curvy woman.
I think it's such an ego boost for a full figured woman to read about heroes who love curves. I know it makes me hold my shoulders back a bit more and walk a bit sassier.

This is true. :)

I like to read about curvy heroines because it makes the characters seem more realistic to me. Its hard to relate to billionaires who fall for picture perfect women who like to like to be spanked - but that's just me.
And although I've read and loved all kinds of books. I'd much rather read about a blue collar alpha male with a few flaws who's desperately in love with a curvy heroine who'll give as good as she gets.
Hey sounds like I could be on to something here....like the plot for my next book...lol. ;)
