Charity shops are great if you don't mind second hand books. I bought , , and today for £1 each in a Charity Shop :)

if your in the UK - www.thebookpeople.co.uk can be really good for buying sets. I bought the True Blood series 1-10 from them for £10 and The Hunger Games Trilogy for £4.99.

They may not be as good for individual books though. They do a great selection of Children's classics or obscure selections which make great christmas presents and they're always well packaged.

www.theworks.co.uk are also very good for people in the UK, delivery prices start at 99p and the books are very cheap :)

Also, I know it says to post sites that aren't major, but www.play.com is always really good for books, and they have tons for under £5 at the moment :) and all free delivery in the UK

I love The Works, there's one of their shops near my house, I always have to go in and at least have a look :) There's also a shop near me that have loads of books/videos/cds/dvds for free, they're all books that have been in Charity Shops for a long time and they give them away to save them from going to landfill...I think it's closed down now though :(
