Rebekah (rebekahc) I'm not sure if it's only for the UK but there's a used bookshop online called GreenMetropolis.com that is awesome! Apart from that I normally use the Book Depository

Rebecca (hobbitual_reader) Charity shops are great if you don't mind second hand books. I bought Marked (House of Night, #1) by P.C. Cast , Glass Houses (The Morganville Vampires, #1) by Rachel Caine , The Summoning (Darkest Powers, #1) by Kelley Armstrong and The Amber Spyglass (His Dark Materials, #3) by Philip Pullman today for £1 each in a Charity Shop :)

Rachel (aka Ms4Tune) (rachel254) | 48 comments if your in the UK - www.thebookpeople.co.uk can be really good for buying sets. I bought the True Blood series 1-10 from them for £10 and The Hunger Games Trilogy for £4.99.

They may not be as good for individual books though. They do a great selection of Children's classics or obscure selections which make great christmas presents and they're always well packaged.

Rebecca (hobbitual_reader) www.theworks.co.uk are also very good for people in the UK, delivery prices start at 99p and the books are very cheap :)

Rebecca (hobbitual_reader) Also, I know it says to post sites that aren't major, but www.play.com is always really good for books, and they have tons for under £5 at the moment :) and all free delivery in the UK

Rachel (aka Ms4Tune) (rachel254) | 48 comments Lol Rebecca I just checked out the works and have ended up buying 4 book! Oops, but so much cheaper than I would have been able to get them otherwise! Thanks!

Rebecca (hobbitual_reader) I love The Works, there's one of their shops near my house, I always have to go in and at least have a look :) There's also a shop near me that have loads of books/videos/cds/dvds for free, they're all books that have been in Charity Shops for a long time and they give them away to save them from going to landfill...I think it's closed down now though :(

Ruby Black (ruby_black) Up in Canada, you can go to Chapters/Indigo (although Amazon.ca is cheaper) :)

message 16: by Marni (new)

Marni (wonderwmn999) Abebooks.com is pretty good. I get coupons from them and have had great success with overseas shipping.

Anthony | 5 comments My favorite place to buy books is the library books sale because the books don't cost too much, and they're really good.
