I'm a few books in on that series. Dark Flame (The Immortals, #4) by Alyson Noel I'll have to get back round to it at some point, as it's been on hold, haha

Greta (goodreadsgreta) | 154 comments Katie, I liked the first couple of book, but it just fizzled out for me after that.

Jalyn (jalynnie) | 19 comments Greta, I felt the same way about The Immortals series. I loved the first one, but they just starting going down hill with each book. I think I read the first 4 and then gave up.

Yes! It is one of my favorites and our dish company got into some contract problem with the local channel that shows it and they just DROPPED in the middled of the season! I couldn't believe it. It was such a great one. Now, we will have to wait for it to come out on DVD, it will probably be F-O-R-E-V-E-R! sigh. Did you watch this season?

message 207: by Sandee is Reading (new)

Sandee is Reading (sandeeisreading) I just read On Dublin Street (On Dublin Street, #1) by Samantha Young . It's actually a New Adult book. Got me pretty messed up but I liked it anyways.

Currently reading Slammed (Slammed, #1) by Colleen Hoover .
Reminds me of Ezra and Aria except for the meeting and making out in the pub. Hahaha.

Who are Ezra and Aria?

Greta (goodreadsgreta) | 154 comments Ezra and Aria are two of the main characters from that show Pretty LIttle Liars. I believe there is a book series that the show is based on.

off topic...i love their names :)

Greta (goodreadsgreta) | 154 comments I'm reading Hopeless by Colleen Hoover which is intensely emotional and touches on a lot of serious topics.
I have to say that Holder, the main character, is a super passionate character and he makes incredibly romantic declarations/mini speeches a lot in this book. I often find that I am holding my breath a lot when I am reading his dialogue with Sky.

This book was sooo good! I need more like it. I am reading
I Love You to Death by Natalie Ward and it is quite sad, if you couldn't already tell from the title. But I finding it really good.

Thanks! Not a show that interests me, and I think there are a ton of books for it. Too teenagery:)

Haha that's funny I call it teenagery when I watch Disney shows like hannah Montana and wizards of waverly place. But those shows crack me up and I think the liars show is more drama right?

message 218: by Sandee is Reading (new)

Sandee is Reading (sandeeisreading) Along with Slammed (Slammed, #1) by Colleen Hoover also reading Before I Die by Jenny Downham . I wanted to read the book first before I watch the movie. Hahaha. I want to compare how different they are.

How are you liking Dublin Street? I just finished that one too not a little long ago.

The Edge of Never is awesome! Looking forward on your thoughts about it!

message 234: by Beth (new)

Beth So far I am liking On Dublin Street, I have about 100 pages left. I still haven't got to the part about what exactly happened to Dru, and I am interested in finding out what happened to her. I have heard so many great things about The Edge of Never, I can't wait to start it!

message 235: by Sandee is Reading (new)

Sandee is Reading (sandeeisreading) It's heartbreaking really. It's just too bad that Joss blamed herself for it even if it wasn't really her fault at all. *oopppss. was that a spoiler?! >.<*

I couldn't shut up about The Edge of Never after I read it. It is a little slow paced but that is what made it so heartfelt and real. It's my top read for 2012.

message 236: by Beth (new)

Beth Lol no that wasn't a spoiler, I had already got to the part where she told her therapist that she blamed herself and she told her it wasn't her fault at all. Something like she may not have pulled the trigger but she was responsible for the bullet, or something like that. Hopefully I will finish it tonight, I have the little thing called work that is in my way, now only if I could figure out a way to read and pretend to be working lol

message 237: by Sandee is Reading (new)

Sandee is Reading (sandeeisreading) i could relate to that work part! i hate that work gets in the way of my reading. i used to have more time to read. hahaha. now I read at least one every one week if I'm really really lucky, then at least two.

Poor me! >.<

message 238: by Beth (new)

Beth I know, and there are so many good books out there, we just don't have time to read them :(

message 239: by Sandee is Reading (new)

Sandee is Reading (sandeeisreading) It's pretty damn upsetting but what can we do? hehehe. ^^,

What other books have you liked so far?

message 240: by Beth (new)

Beth Well let's see I am new to YA books, I had been reading Erotica but they got boring. I don't mind smut in books, just not a whole book about smut with no story line. Did that make sense? I really liked Hopeless, Slammed, Point of Retreat, Beautiful Disaster, oh and I just finished The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden (it was so good, left you hanging, waiting for book 2 to be released in February), Easy. I tried reading Thoughtless and Effortless and I just could not get into those books even though everyone acted like they were awesome books. I felt like there was a lot of fluff in the books, lots of unnecessary information. Oh and Crow's Row was a great book too! My list goes on and on lol. Do you have any good suggestions for books like these? I don't like any of the paranormal books although I did read the whole Providence series by Jamie McGuire and I liked those. I just don't tend to read about vampires and such, I haven't even ever read the Twilight series.

hahaha. i want to read the Coincidence of Callie and Kayden but don't have a copy yet. will try to get soon though. I love Jessica Sorensen! I read her other book The Secret of Ella and Micha and it was awesome!

I get your point regarding the erotica stuff. But have you read The Lords of the Underworld series? That one has sense. I mean in a paranormal kind of way.

message 242: by Beth (new)

Beth I just added The Secret of Ella and Micha to my to-be-read list. Do you have a Nook or Kindle? If you have a Nook I can send you The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden. I may check out The Lords of the Underworld series. I got a wild hair across my tail about a week ago and deleted my whole tbr list, withdrew all of my memberships from the erotica clubs I was in, and started over. And so far I like these books so much better! This group actually discusses books, which I love! Glad I found this group!

LOL I don't really read erotica, but I delete books that I just have samples of all the time. I think I own too many books to think about buying a new one.

I try to only buy a book when I am getting ready to read it, although this time I bought 2 at once. I found myself having a hard time choosing which one to read first so I just picked the shorter one to read first. I give myself a book allowance so I don't go crazy lol, its my way of keeping myself in check! :)

Greta (goodreadsgreta) | 154 comments Beth, you are really good for giving yourself a book allowance. Even though I do also use the library I wiLl always spend too much on books. And...that's with me not even buying more than 2 ahead of what I'm reading. Oh well, books are essential items.

Isn't Daemon just dreamy? he's arrogant and all but I love that of him.
