Introduce Yourself- part 2

I've just finished Elevation, and I'll probably start Revival soon while waiting for the last ones to be finnaly out here in France (in translated version^^).
My favorite SK books include: Rage, From a Buick 8, Misery, Desperation and Mr Mercedes.

My name is Loreen. New here. I want to read books of Stephen King and discuss them with you. I am looking for titles with a hardcover in combination with an audiobook; it keeps me focused on the story. If you have a recommendation, please share and tell me which chapter/pages you love most.
Kind regards,
Loreen

Cheers all. CB

I consider myself an avid reader. My best vacation was one year when I read 9 books during a 2-week vacation.
I am a 4-time cancer survivor and spend a great deal of time at home as I am now disabled due to chemo exacerbated peripheral neuropathy with chronic pain. I spend a lot of time online and a lot of time reading. I have been even more homebound since the Corona virus reared its head.
I have a sizable home library which I started after reading a quote by Jorge Luis Borges, "I have always imagined Paradise to be a kind of Library." I began collecting books for my retirement years. My books are as varied as my interests. My books consist of signed first editions, fine bound (leather) books. books by small and specialty presses, a group of books of historical importance, and a group of hard-bound first editions plus a bunch of trade edition books.
I look forward to getting to know you. Thanks!

I have enjoyed the details in Mr. King's books ever since then! I love allowing my mind to enter a totally different (albeit sometimes weirder) world than the one around me. Mr. King also introduced me to the world of fantasy books through the Dark Tower series. (Wizard and Glass will always be my favorite for that reason...and I love how he revisits Roland's worlds in his works.)
For so many years Stephen King books have been a major part of my life... my entertainment, my escape, my reason to learn, my reason to read. Now when he mentions classic books that I haven't read, I add those to my list of books to read. I read many authors... but Mr. King will always be my favorite!

I just joined recently and am looking forward to all sorts of King related conversations! I am from the PNW and enjoy all things fall, Halloween, creepy/crawly.
I started reading Stephen King when I was pretty young, around 10. The Green Mile movie was coming out and my dad said I would not be allowed to watch the film until I read the book. He has been a huge King fan my entire life. Since then I’ve been trying to make my way through all of his books.
The Dark Tower series is my favorite series of all time and I am one of the few that greatly enjoys how to story wraps up. I am also a big fan of Pet Sematary and have reread it more than any other book I own! I have a long way to go before I’ve read all his work, but I will get there and am so looking forward to the journey!
Happy Reading!

I've been a constant reader for more than 20 years now. There is hardly a story I didn't enjoy. The most fascinating aspect of King's books in my opinion is the way he lets us look inside the characters' thoughts. I think his characters are so vivid and interesting. So, the longer the book, the more enjoyable it is. :) I'm looking forward to participating in the group discussions.
Greetings!

I am particularly fond of the Dark Tower and all works along the beam/pertaining to Flagg. However I do highly enjoy all of his works and own everything he's written.
I just finished Billy Summers and was absolutely overjoyed with it. King really shows what a talent he is in this book, personally.
Anyways, have fun reading!

My favorite book so far has to be It. I read it in the course of about three days with the help of the audiobook. It definitely got me out of a reading slump.
The next books on my tbr shelf are From a Buick 8 and The Stand.
Looking forward to chatting with you all!
Matt (they/them)

Welcome Matt!
I’ll be reading From a Buick 8 this month if you’d like to buddy read it!

Yeah that sounds great! I was also planning to read it this month (~2 weeks wait on Libby right now!)

My favourite by far is Misery. I primarily read to escape reality and the interesting psychological nuances of that book are exactly what I was looking for!
I'm probably going to read "Roadwork" next once I'm done Bram Stokers Dracula.
