Introduce Yourself- part 2
LOL I use them at work to keep my mind from seizing up, I have one of those jobs where I'm on a computer all day and if I didn't listen to something I would go crazy, mind you some people at work think I am crazy for listening to books instead of the radio.
My name is Leslie from Wisconsin and I have been reading SK books (all the while checking under the bed and in my closet for things that go bump in the night) since I was by all rights too young to read them! Love, love, love SK!

LOL it is starbucks, I once said my name was Tom Cullen and that's what the put on my cup, but the spelled it wrong. I have also been Harry Potter and Ronald Weasley, Serius Black, Plus several other well known characters. I guess it is the cheapest way to change who you are.

Hi everyone! My name is Malarie. I'm a therapist. I've been reading Stephen King since I was a teenager, and I started with The Shining. I've read almost everything and am currently finishing the last Dark Tower! I like to read horror, suspense, and true crime. I can never find anything that is just as good as a trusty King, however :)

Hello, I'm Brandon. Like many of you, I began reading Stephen King in high school. The first King book I can remember reading was either The Shining or IT, I read them both around the same time, and I can't remember which was first. I have read a number of his novels and short stories since. My favorites are probably The Stand, The Shining, IT, Salem's Lot, and The Dark Tower series. I haven't read everything by King. I read most of the early stuff and most of the stuff released in the last 8 or 10 years, but I haven't gotten around to reading everything. Among his more recent novels, I really enjoyed Revival.

Hi! I'm Roger. Just joining this group, although I've been on Goodreads for a while and a Stephen King fan since all the way back to the beginning, with Carrie. In fact, all those years ago, aside from reading HG Wells and the classics, I didn't even know of any other author other than Stephen King. I just waited for my parents to finish whatever the latest SK book was, and then I grabbed it.

That is the best thing about being a reader, you can be who you want to be. I just extended it to my coffee, I think I might be Roland Jake and Eddie soon. But I will draw the line on those three and Keep Susannah out of it. Better yet I think I will be Oy.
So here is a general question for whomever; when IT’s the end of your week, you just finished dinner and you get comfortable with your current GoodRead,,, which is your choice of beverage to enjoy a candlelight read with; coffee, tea, beer, wine or other?
What’s your choice of beer Mr. Brooks??For me I’ll usually hit a nice cab from Napa Valley with my candlelight read with...beer for me (Fosters) I’ll have with a shot while watching a movie....
I read at the start of my day. I get up 3 hrs before work to read and drink my coffee! Then read on my lunch hour & a little after dinner as I’m in bed by 7pm!!
I also start my day with my coffee and I always hope the traffic isn’t bad since after I park I’ll read my book before I head into work, but at the end of a grueling week I like my cab from Napa Valley with my book, which tops off my week... cheers, cin cin, Prost, Na Strovia, Salute, Sla’inte, enjoy....
It depends on the day, but I think all of those drinks sound good with a good book. I'm about to curl up with some tea today, so I'll go with that one.
In the evening...I’ll take the Cabernet...or a nice Malbec. During the day...Paradise passion fruit iced tea!
Hi, you can call me Timothy if you want or really anything. I just started reading after my 32 years on this earth. I started with It and am currently in the process of reading the novel. I plan on reading The Stand next or 11/22/63, but I'll catch up with the group eventually.
I found that its a good escape for about an hour or two straight with little breaks throughout the day.
It all started with an audiobook and the novel reading at the same time and then I phased the audiobook out and now can do it on my own.
I look forward to spending some time on the books and around you people as well.

Hi Timothy! You’ll enjoy The Stand! It was my fav Stephen King novel till I read The Dark Towers series! The series is the “best ever”!! 11/22/63 is not too shabby either!

Kenneth I'm cheap for me it's an MGD at home if we are out I might have a Carlsberg or a Fosters in the 1 pint format.
Hi Timothy and welcome we are all willing to share our favorites with you but be warned you could end up with 57 different books and 175 different short stories to choose form LOL. The Stand is My favorite Carrie got me hooked It thrilled me and the Dark Tower series owns me, I am on a quest of the tower and have a Ka-tet of thousands. I know I am talking gibberish but you will get end up like us and it when your sustenance is a Sai King book. with out his works we would perish.
Hello everyone! 👋🏼I’m Krystle from Malaysia. I can’t remember the first book of his that I picked up, but I THINK it was Cujo. My favourites are a tie between Pet Sematary, Needful Things, The Dark Half & Doctor Sleep. (Actually, I love most of his books and feel like they’re my babies 😅.)

I hear ya reasoning but there good when your driving and for work. Plus I have to manage my cash so books don't always come first so I take advantage of what I have when it comes to YouTube audiobooks. Don't get me wrong I do have bookshelves full of books. I consider an audiobook a read on Goodreads. I didn't take all that time listening to an audiobook for nothing. :-)
