If you like historical fiction: The Historian, Labyrinthand Sepulchre. Very good once. The historian starts slow but has a very original way of writing about Dracula.
Do you like fantasy? You might like Graceling by Kristin Cashore.I also recommend North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell and Crocodile on the Sandbank by Elizabeth Peters.
Also...a newer author, Tasha Alexander has a series with 3 books out so far, the first called And Only to Deceive. They are very good.
I sniffed out an easy target ;)But...miss Fiona, you are the queen of pushers, so you have no room to talk!
I'd definitely recommend "The Thirteenth Tale" by Diane Setterfield and "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak. They are both excellent books!
