I cried- Never has fiction ever gotten to me as much as 'Lightning'Good book- shittiest ending ever

This is the first Danielle Steel book I have read, and I must say, I was appalled. Sam is the worst husband from hell who treated his wife- the woman he promised to love in good times and bad- worse than shit.

Alex, at her lowest and about to give up hope of being happy, of having a life, is picked up by a king Brock who starts their relationship as a friendship that blossoms into much more. Brock picked up Alex after she had been shattered, broken, let down and trodden to and gave her a reason for living again. I dont think a man should be so much younger than a woman in a relationship, but I was more than willing to let that go and watch Alex get the happiness and joy she deserved.

Sam is an all-round asshole who, after leaving his wife in her time of need has the gall to say, 'I STILL love you.' Sam was never there for Alex. He disappeared in her time of sickness and came back when she was recovered. We the readers will never know how he would have felt making love to Alex when she had one breast- but we can sure guess.
