ROFL... accidentally? You'll have to wear armour and go at it with a flame thrower...accidentally, of course.

Sounds a bit like my "accidental beheading" scene.

*turns around like a good little girl*

About this accidental beheading scene...*whispers* can I see it?

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish I am reposting Betty Boop. This is a newer flower and I think it shows the color better.

How do people post their stories on here?

message 505: by Wendy (new)

Wendy (wendyswore) Look up at the top of the page where it says "home." Click on that and you'll be on your home page. THen look down to the right side where your inbox is- there's a place called "writing""- click on that. then to the right again click on "add new writing"
and tada!

If you intend to publish it, I would be hesitant to post the entire thing because once you put it there, anyone can read it. Even people who aren't in our groups. I posted about 1000 words of mine- so people can see the idea but not the whole thing. SO pick a section and post it, you can remove it later and post a different part if you want.

Another idea might be to post it in the sandbox. Ask Gwen to be sure, but I think if you started your own thread there- that no one could read it but just our little circle of crazies.

Lemme know what you pick!

Perhaps said anti-muse could be impaled on George Burns' thorns? LOL

Thanks for the support, Wendy... your comments were and are greatly appreciated!

*nibbling treats left for good muse fairy* Hey, these are tasty, what do you call them?

message 508: by Wendy (new)

Wendy (wendyswore) We made them yesterday, and they're called "dog piles" but are actually no-bake peanut butter chocolate oatmeal balls/drops whatever. I have children and they state the obvious, so they have been dubbed dogpiles for life. But we like them- glad you do too. ;)

Tooo funny! I make "messy lasagna" which is all the lasagna innards but instead of long lasagna noodles I mix it all into ziti noodles.

message 510: by Wendy (new)

Wendy (wendyswore) Messy lasaqna- We'll have to try that.

My husband grew up loving to eat "scraped-off macaroni" which was macaroni noodles without the cheese sause- just noodles and butter with a dash of salt. As a kid it made perfect sense. THey were not macaroni and cheese, it was scraped-off.

Julie | 465 comments Hi UM, I haven't dropped by in a while!

All of this talk of food is making me hungry! Scraped off macaroni, dog piles, and messy lasagna!! Yummy!!

I hope you are having a happy writing day!

By the way, UM,I love your flower pics!! How do you post pictures in your postings?

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Julie wrote: "By the way, UM,I love your flower pics!! How do you post pictures in your postings? ..."

I have the pictures on my computer, then I go into PhotoBucket and upload them there. Photobucket will save the pictures (host them) on the internet. After they are uploaded, they provide you with several different codes to choose from, depending on where you are going to post them.

For Good Reads, I use the code that begins with
When you find that code, you copy and paste it to your chat window here on GoodReads.

Let me know if you have any problems or questions!

My grandson loves naked noodles when we have spaghetti. He likes the boxed Mac N Cheese, but when it comes to spaghetti, he likes his noodles nekkid!

The messy lasagna is so easy and a big hit at potlucks or family gatherings.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish So, here's the deal. We get very high winds here and a couple days ago when my daughter was taking pictures of the roses, she took a picture of one that had a Chihuly tag on it. Turns out that the Chihuly tag had blown into the Easy Going rose bush and so we mislabeled it. Here's the REAL Chihuly, named after famed American Glass Artist, Dale Chihuly.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Good Wednesday morning, everyone!

Today I present Gizmo, and the color is gorgeous, the petals are delicate... I love the stamen, they remind me of something you'd see growing under the ocean.

Another low grower in my front planter.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish OK, I just need to let everyone know that Lover Avenged came out yesterday...480 pages of glorious, wonderful, tormented vampire males trying to save their species and find love in the process.

My point is, I will be useless for anything other than reading about Rehvenge for the next few days. And when I do post, you may find me adding seemingly odd h's here and there... such as Mhoi, Wehndy, Dhee, Gwehn, etc... *sigh* It's a Black Dagger Brotherhood thang. ;)

What was that, Edward? Umm... well, yes, I suppose they might be a cousin of yours...a very distant cousin. Your name? It would be Ehdward or Edwahrd. Tell them you said hello? Sure, no problem.

Have a great day, everyone!

ROFL at both Wendys! The odd thing is that sometimes when I get my GoodReads notices, both of you Wendys come in one email notice.

message 521: by Wendy (new)

Wendy (wendyswore) Weird! I'd say I had it first but I'd probably be wrong. I'm very good at sharing though.

My mom used to play me that Wendy song when I was little:
"...Everyone knows it's Wendy, and Wendy has stormy eyes, that flash at the sound of Lies, and Wendy has wings to fly above the clouds- above the clouds.!"

Good song.

You go, girl! [image error]

Now I will have that song in my head allllll day!

What was the group called.. the Association or something like that?

OK, I stopped for breakfast, now Rehv is waiting for me. Be back later!

message 523: by Wendy (new)

Wendy (wendyswore) I have no idea of the group name- I was 5 when I learned it from the radio- but I remember most of the words. :)

Exactly, as are you. I feel as though I'm looking in a mirror. And I see you spell it with a y and not an I or IE.

I've definately had it longer. I was in high school when that song came out. OHHHHH the teasing I used to get. I still get it from one of the guys at work. Now it doesn't bother me, in high school I thought it was terrible. I'm also good at sharing. :)

Wendy (wendyswore) Hey Wendy! (Ha, that's fun to write)

THat must be you and your husband in your picture, huh. You make a very hansome couple. :p

When I was a sophmore in highschool, there were 4 Wendy's in my class (about 550 total class).
First one went out with appendicitis, then a month later, I came down with it, then the third Wendy's burst before they could take hers out and she had to have a drainage bag for a month. We spent the reast of the year teasing that last one that she was next- but it missed her.

We weren't even really friends, but we were the only ones to get it that year. weird, eh :)

message 528: by Wendy (new)

Wendy (wendyswore) And by the way, spelling it with a Y is the only correct way. All the true wendys have honored the Y tradition handed down from wendy to wendy since the time of Peter Pan. Rock on, sista'

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish In my daughter's 5th grade class there were 6...count 'em... 6 Melissa's. They were known by Missy, Mel, and then the other 4 Melissas had their last name initial tacked on.

Was a popular year for Melissas.

message 530: by Wendy (new)

Wendy (wendyswore) When I was in Jr High, I used to wish my name was Melissa because I liked the short version of "Lissa."

When I first started going on line forever ago, I used Lissa as my tag so no big scary stalker people could get me.

Now I figure, bring -em on... I'll sick my 11 puppies after them.

I say sure that's us, but I'd be lying. I just pretend that's us. lol. That appendix thing was just strange, I bet the last Wendy was waiting for the other shoe to fall. I don't know how many Wendy's there were in my H.S. I went to school in Chicago. The school was pretty big.

Hi Wendy, (yeah, that is wierd) I think that's where my Mom got my name from. The ones that spell it any other way drive me nuts.

Ohhh, Thanks for the info! I don't have photobucket, but I do have a flickr...I'll have to see if flickr has the same options.

I love taking flower pictures too, though I don't usually know the exact name of the flowers!

Thanks again!

Wendy (wendyswore) Moi- has your book lived up to expectations? are you filled with jhoy?

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Today's rose is Sunsprite. It's a 'floribunda' with many roses during the initial bloom of the season, and while it does keep blooming, it's at a slower pace with fewer flowers.

All I can say right now is.... It is ahmazing!
So far it's the best of the series.

No... old is... well, never mind. Trust me; you're not.

My oldest grandson asked me for a greatest hits album for his birthday last year, my partners youngest son collect the Monkee's, Alice Cooper and ELO, and my oldest granddaughter thinks Frank Sinatra is to die for and has all the albums.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish So, today I will commit to writing 2 pages. I have come to realize that when the story is playing out in my mind, it is in bits and pieces, not in order. So I've been struggling with certain scenes, thinking them through, trying to make them work.

I've decided that's not working for me. SOOOOO, I am going to write even if it makes no sense, even if I ramble on and have to go back and edit. At least that way I am getting something done...even if the writing is merely analyzing the situation.

message 542: by Wendy (new)

message 546: by Gwendolyn (new)

Gwendolyn (drgwen) Very Sweet!

... and you learned a lesson today; that there is nothing wrong with writing on the fly.

If the idea is there and it will flow that way, then do it. Once the words are in front of you, then you can edit and poke and prod and tweak.

The methodology that works for one writer does not always work for all.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Thank you, Gwen. I need to ignore my anti-muse and just write, even if it is seemingly jibberish. Because what started out seemingly jibbery today, turned out pretty darned good and will be an important scene in the story.

Hey UM,

I've been having similar issues...I sort of powered through, like you were talking about doing, and came up with some interesting results.

:)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Thank you, Julie...I'm going to try and write a minimum 2 pages per day for the next week and hopefully I'll get my groove back.

message 550: by Julie (new)

Julie | 465 comments Then we can write a new story..."How Uniquely Got Her Groove Back".... groan... was that cheesy or what. Huge Jackman can be the object of your desire. (Though, I'll take Taye Diggs any day!)
