who of the 7 is the strongest?

Hazel. her story makes me sobby and awestruck
Obviously Percy. Even Nico said it himself. Percy is awesome!
It depends on the meaning of "strong" I would say physically strong, it would be Percy, Jason, or Frank. But mentally, like with endurance and things like that, I would say Leo, or maybe even Hazel.

Were talking about the strongest physically. Frank and Leo is a toss up, but think about it, Frank wouldn't hurt anything if he didn't have to. I know you are saying, "Yeah, but he can shape shift!!", but it takes a lot out of him. I think everyone is underestimating Annabeth. Do you guys remember in the first book, Annabeth took Percy down, at first. I think if we are talking about physical strength, that is the list. On a different topic,
Truly, I really dislike Piper. Nico said himself, "Percy is one of the strongest demigod." But she can't accept that. I don't think she is much use in the story, and they asked for my opinion, and I also think, Frank is pretty cool, but he is from Ares, he should be a little more tough, because he seems like a pretty calm, non-violent guy. I think they should resemble their godly parents a little more. I like Nico, he has grown so much in this book, and think Nico is hilarious. But back on topic, how they use their power goes into play, like calling lightning and flying for Jason, should be easier for him, and same goes for Frank. Plus, although Annabeth has no special powers, she uses everything that she has. (BTW, what happened to her invisibility cap?? I cant remember??) and I think Hazel has a lot of conflicting emotions, and she should try to connect with Annabeth more, because she would be a lot stronger and more powerful. Piper should just take a hike far away from the quests, and let someone else fill in. She is just not fun to read. Anyway, you have to think about what they have, and what they use, because the ones with "special powers" are
Percy (calling water)
Jason (calling lightning, flying)
Frank (Shape-shifting)
Hazel (Stones).. I dont know what to call it, lol
Piper (Charmspeak)
Leo (Fire)

The only one that doesn't is Annabeth, and she is my favorite character. Annabeth uses her strength and skill to the best of their abilities, and I think she should be higher ranked. I think Annabeth should adapt some power, that would be pretty cool. Anyways, that list isn't anything like my favorite characters list.
I think Percy because he is one of the big three. Jason may have as much power, but Percy seems to have more experience.
I think that Hazel has a lot more to offer than what we realize. She is a descendant of one of the big three - Pluto (Hades). She can control tunnels and precious metals. It's too bad that the seven have to "beware the earth" which means that Hazel's powers are limited since they travel mainly by sea and air (Percy and Jason's realm). If there's more land fighting, then I believe that Hazel could do more damage and develop other powers that we don't know of at this point in the series. She's still developing powers and has the potential of becoming very strong and powerful. Plus she's good with Arion and horses in general. I also believe that she's more stable emotionally and seems wiser than the others (with the exception of Annabeth when it comes to wisdom.) It's probably because Hazel had died and received a second chance at life. I'm not saying that Hazel is the most powerful and the strongest of the seven, but she's has a lot of potential of becoming someone very great (greater than what she already is). Plus I really like her personality. I enjoyed reading SoN from her perspective and I'm quite sure we're going to get her perspective again in HoO :-)

Probably between Annabeth,Piper and Percy...Annabeth because she's extremely smart and without her everyone would fail, Piper because of her charmspeak and Percy because he's generally super powerful.

It was mentioned in the Mark of Athena that after argueung with her mother about the mark of Athena and avenging her, the cap lost all it's magical properties the next day. But, I think she still kept the cap with her on the ride over to Greece even though she didn't wear it

we all know that they have strengths/weaknesses.... I think that Riordan wants us to see that LEO is the strongest, with HAZEL as a close second...LOL

My first thought was Percy, then Jason probably. If we're just talking like, physical fighting power of course. I think all of them were brought together because they have different strengths, and when you combine them all they are extremely powerful on every front. They all contribute something to the group. I think Annabeth is the most intelligent, Hazel is the strongest emotionally, Percy and Jason are the most powerful, Piper is persuasive and can get them out of situations, Leo is good with machinery, etc. It's weird to think of Jason as really powerful though because half the time he's gotten himself knocked out but obviously being the son of Zeus/Jupiter, he's extremely powerful in his own right. They all have strengths and weaknesses, they balance each other out as a collective unit.
That depends on what you strongest as. It all depends on your definition of strong.If you want brute force then then go for Percy. He's had 5 years of experience and can control water and bring it to him. If you wnat a mentally stable person, the girl for you would be Hazel.
Strategy issue? Give Annabeth a ring. Need a diplomat? Then get Piper out there. Or you could use her as live bait.
Frank is the most well-rounded character, though he has confidence issues. Jason would be good for backup or rescuing Piper.
Leo would be great if you needed some food,mechanical repairs, or a good laugh.
Really, they're all strong in their own ways and have their own benefits and weaknesses.

Percy is one of the strongest (duh) but Jason, Leo, and Nico are also pretty strong so its hard to say really.
It depends on where they are and their position, under water-Percy, in the sky-Jason, underworld-Hazle, workshop-Leo, in a trap-Annabeth, need to be a diffrent form-Frank and need to get talked out of something-piper. There is no list. They where made a seven for a reson! If one was less powerful than an other then why would there be a seven?

I think Percy and Annabeth are probably the strongest.
I think they all have their strengths and fatal flaws. I would have to say Percy, but they all contribute and play an important role in the quest.

One thing it's easy for people to forget about nico... he was 10 when he was first introduced... in the Last Olympian, he is only 12,the same age percy was when this whole series started. And god, he is incredibly strong for a 12 year old. If he progress's in strength anywhere near the rate that percy did, then he has the capability of being unbelievably strong. It honest breaks my heart he's not one of the 7. He's such an under used character. After that, I'm sorry I'm going to have to say Percy, aside from Nico saying he's the strongest, in the last Olympian, Posiden states that percy has done more than any other Hero, and that included Hercules who is suppose to be the greatest hero. And he has, He's the only hero to take on all of past heros quests, he's literally done it all, and then some (his own made up quests). Jason to me, just seems to repeating a lot of the old Jason's quests (which percy had as well), and nothing really of his own. I think percys character dynamic is better anyways, but then I like him better, jason just seems...odd to me I can't really put my finger on why I dont like him. After that its a toss up between annabeth and leo. the rest I dont care LOL. Not to say I dont like the characters, but I start to get into, beckondorf, clariess, and so on.
I think the strongest is jason. I believe he have great powers but he just never really try to get all of them out.

Percy is the strongest. That much is PRETTY clear. And next to Percy is Jason and after that will be Frank I think!

They all possess different forms of power. If you claim power as being able to use your wits, Annabeth comes out on top every time. Fighting monsters? Perseus Jackson, at your service. Hazel is the most stable out of the seven. Frank was supposed to be one of the most powerful demigods ever, which is why his life is tied to a burning stick. Piper has control over other people just by speaking, so dont underestimate her. Jason certainly has potential as well. Leo can destroy the world...plus he just has some epic skills. And I think Riordan might even have a few surprises up his sleeve involving the powers of certain characters yet. Together, they're invincible, but I think they're biggest weakness is that they weren't meant to work together. And when the trouble comes from within, it's a whole different story than when it comes from without.

- he was dipped in the river Styx
- he is the most experienced son of the BIG THREE
- obviously he is the son of Posiedon
- he's gone on numerious quests
- he fought and defeated Chronos
- even though his fatal flaw is loyalty it still might be his greatest stength
- he is just awesome
2. Jason
- he is the son of Zeus
- not as experienced as Percy
- (as Kayla said) he keeps getting saved by someone else
- slightly unstable emotionally
3. Annabeth
- has more experience than Percy but lacks major powers
- dependent on Percy
- very smart
- has battle experience
4. Piper
- charm speak
- not much else really
5. Hazel
- can feel when people die
- the thing she does with the precious metals
- kinda unstable emotionally
6. Leo
- can build anything
7. Frank
- son of Mars
- decedent of Poseidon
- has a fear of fire
- life depends on a stick
- shape-shifter

Honestly, I feel like Percy is strongest, followed by Annabeth. Percy is, well, duh. The most powerful. Because in terms of experience and all, I feel like obviously, he's going to be more powerful. He's defeated titans, giants, and even gods (Ares, when he was eleven/twelve. Is there any way to compete with that). He can control water. He can make hurricanes. He can talk to sea creatures.
Jason is more below, because honestly, what the heck has he really done in the Mark of Athena? Sure, he can fly and summon lightning and all that, but when has that ever come in handy? I love Jason as a character, but he was really useless in the Mark of Athena.
Annabeth, on the other hand. She has no special powers, except maybe her super smart brain. But she can't summon lightning, like Jason; control water, like Percy; produce fire, like Leo; charmspeak, like Piper; summon the dead/control the underground/summon jewels, like Nico and Hazel; or turn into a freaking dragon or whatever shape he wants, like Frank. In terms of super freaky-but-awesome supernatural heavenly inherited godly powers, she's really got nothing except her brain. And weaving skill. And still she keeps the rest of the seven on their toes. She gets Percy out of trouble in bad situations. She thinks clearly.
So if you ask me, Annabeth is right up there with Percy.
By the way, I'm sorry if I offended anyone's opinions. I really hate comparing Percy to Jason, because they're so alike. That being said, you naturally have to compare them at some point eventually.

I think Hazel may be the strongest of the seven. She has powers on par with Percy and Jason, she has a really good, heroic character in a nice way, and she's the most levelheaded of the lot. Annabeth ties in "levelheaded-ness", the boys tie with her in magic power, and Piper, maybe sensitivity. But she combines all three, so I think she is the strongest.

agree! their issues really do get in the way and that's what makes this so good..... that it's not the one who has the strongest power that's the best, it's the one who can get over his flaw!
