Alana ~ The Book Pimp (loonyalana) Does an orthopedic boot, like for a broken or fractured ankle count for boot, or does it have to be a pair of regular boots

It would count if it were a pair of orthopedic boots. It has to be plural.

Alana ~ The Book Pimp (loonyalana) I ended up finding a regular pair of boots in the book, but I appreciate your response! Thanks- Merry Christmas!

Sheila (sheilaj) | 1 comments Will there be a new item called this week on December 28th or is there a holiday break?

message 310: by Dawn (Kat N Hat) (new)

Dawn (Kat N Hat) (katnhat) Sheila wrote: "Will there be a new item called this week on December 28th or is there a holiday break?"

Since it isn't time sensitive as to when the team finishes until at least week 9, there is no break in items being called, just understanding in that your team mates may not be reading as fast during this two week period.

Lina Dawn, I love it! I'm going to have to copy that one :-)

message 314: by Dawn (Kat N Hat) (new)

Dawn (Kat N Hat) (katnhat) Hey all just to clarify the new point system. 've had a few teams do this and it would just be to hard to track.

Since this round I am having team captains submit points you won't get the non-called item points until you have also claimed points for the called items.

Dawn (Kat N Hat) (katnhat) Zina wrote: "is hoodie acceptable for hood?

Yes, a hoodie is ok.

Sock, can be plural. The items listed as plural, must be more than one, only mentioning one wont work. But the sigular items can be found in pairs or groups since there is at least the one in the group. It's kind of a double standard, but it is what it is.

Dawn (Kat N Hat) (katnhat) just a heads up, I know there are usually a few questions on posting day. I will be away from the computer for probly the next 8-10 hours. But I will answer questions when I'm back.

Dawn (Kat N Hat) (katnhat) Sorry I didn't get this up yesterday.

Right now the Fearsome Foursome is the only one with a perfect score. But BadAss 8, could change that this week if they call thier points right.

We have passed the halfway point in the game and it could still be anyones game.

Dawn (Kat N Hat) (katnhat) Just an FYI if any one is interested in another Team Challenge. The
Romance Lovers for the Challenge-Impaired
group has a team challenge going and could use some back up players.

It is a bit faster paced than this game, you earn points by how much you can link your book to the weekly song. Your also team earns points based on how fast the whole team finishes.

Check out more about how to play, and have a peek at some of the team discussions to get a feel for the game HERE in the Dance Party Folder.

Turtlecollector Dennis Can a pouch worn around the neck count as necklace?

Angie ~aka Reading Machine~ (wolffaerie17) | 1469 comments Would you accept a white hooded robe for hood?

message 337: by Dawn (Kat N Hat) (new)

Dawn (Kat N Hat) (katnhat) Turtlecollector wrote: "Can a pouch worn around the neck count as necklace?"

Hmmmmmm maybe. I've seen small pouches at Renaissance Festivals worn as a necklace. The pouch was about 2 inches in diameter or smaller. Something like that I would take. But pouch worn around the neck could also be more like a satchel or purse. Something like that i would say no.

Would "protect himself from my raining blows" work for rain?

Also, would "'we'll be right on your tail.'" work for tail?

Dawn (Kat N Hat) (katnhat) Paris wrote: "Hey Dawn!

weather I've been not as strict about because the phrases are based on refrence to the actual event. Body parts I'd like the actual part.

So yes for raining if that is the best you can find. No to tail.

message 345: by Paris (last edited Jan 18, 2013 02:18PM) (new)

Paris (pah13) Thanks Dawn. I'll keep working on tail.

ETA: I've been thinking this whole time that you are looking for tail as it refers to a human body part, but I went through some of what the others have claimed and see that animals work. So the tail of a dog would work for this?

Turtlecollector Dennis Can either of these imply moonlight:

"...looked up at the moon shifting behind the clouds..."

"...high white moon..."

Also, does the emergency vehicle have to be real or can it be a toy fire truck?

Yes, I want a body part, but I never said anything about human.

As for the moon, those alone won't work. If there are more sentences around that talk about the light, it could work. The moon itself is not enough there needs to be a light, shine, glow or other implied moonlight.

Toy fire truck would work.

Thanks, I didn't think so about the moon, but I thought I would check.
