Introductions!
Hello, My name is Amy and I wanted to introduce myself. I obviously love to read or I would not be here but my favorite genre is paranormal. I get sucked in and cannot put them down. I am looking forward to hearing what others have read and try new books.
Oooh thanks a lot Samantha, will check those out right away. I've only got one friend here so far and don't really have that much time to spend here checking out what other people have read and their reviews, but I'll try and get right on it.. thanks again

Most of my books are PNR, but be careful some of them are PNR erotica. I am to new to this site as well and this is what I found to be the most helpful.
Cece wrote: "Oooh thanks a lot Samantha, will check those out right away. I've only got one friend here so far and don't really have that much time to spend here checking out what other people have read and the..."well just being on here you can find great recommendations as well.

I loved that she was snarky and didn't want any of it. I ended up reading the rest of the series. Some were better than others. They were all relatively short, so quick reads. But it made me want to look into her other books, too. All the ones I read were all kind of the same (snarky girl doesn't want the situation she's in), but were still enjoyable. I might be easily entertained, too. :-)

well maybe I will try it again later on.
Hi There :)I'm Tall_Tails. I'm 17, from north-east Australia and new to the whole 'goodreads' world. I LOVE to read! I'm a BIG Harry Potter fan, and read a lot of YA/Teen books with any relation to fantasy. I would not have the passion I do for Paranormal Romance though if it had not been for a faithful little book named Twilight, which I first read a few years ago :) Since then I have been an avid PNR lover with some of my favourites being the Twilight Series and Vampire Acadamy.
I also really like the Darkest Powers Series by Kelley Armstrong, Fallen by --, The Evernght Series and the list goes on :)
I've notice many are Sookie fans. I read the first 3 books and loved the tv show as well.
If anyone has any recommendations please feel free to pass them on :)
I love discovering new little treasurse to fill my already stuffed bookshelf :)
Btw I'm yet to fill out my bookshelf on my profile but if your interested to check back I should have it done soon :)
I've really enjoyed looking at a few of yours :)

So I am reading book 8 in the Undead series and all the fun btwn Sinclair and Betsey seems to have fizzled away. I mean I don't need to read what goes on btwn the sheets in explicit detail but it is none existant. I like the mix of story, romance romantic fun and vampire storyline. I don't know I am on page 65 we will see. A little bummed

I just buy them I know it is not eco friendly but I buy for three reasons 1) I want it NOW 2) some one has to support these authors. 3) Lame but, I like turning the pages
So I am reading book 8 in the Undead series and all the fun btwn Sinclair and Betsey seems to have fizzled away."Yes, MJD seemed to have lost something along the way. Maybe she's getting bored with the series? I'm waiting for the next one to come out (July, I guess?) to see if I'll continue. I enjoyed them -- I didn't hate them -- but yes, they sort of lost their fizzle in the last one or two. The off-shoot series about the werewolves was kinda cute. I think most of those are within anthologies, though.

I agree. So what are you going to read next I have Fallen by Lauren Kate and Dark Lover on the shelf in my home but I don't know. What are you going to pick?
Hi,my name is Tytti and I'm from Helsinki, Finland. Right now the ground is covered with snow and it's really chilly outside, even though it is March. But that is a really good excuse to stay inside and read.
As you have perhaps figured it out, english isn't my first language, but I read books only in english. Partly because the translations suck or they don't make them and partly because the books are sooooo much better in english.
My paranormal romance addiction (yes,I am an PR addict)started with Twilight, continued with Sookie Stackhouse-series, Vampire Academy series and A Night Huntress-series. Currently I'm reading The Black Dagger Brotherhood series, part 6. I have bought the first two books from the Midnight Breed-series and they silently wait for me in my bookshelf. Like I said, an addict.
If you have any recommendations, I would very gladly like to hear about them.
And of course I would like to have friends who enjoy this genre as much as I.
Let's wait for better weather and more good books!

Right now I'm reading more Patricia Briggs (older stuff) -- the Sianim series... Steal the Dragon. I've read her other series and they were pretty decent. I'm waiting for the next Mercy book and the next Rachel Morgan book (Kim Harrison). I know Black Magic Sanction is released, but I can get it on Kindle 4/6 so I'm waiting. I have so many books I haven't read... I might try some Shiloh Walker, JR Ward... not sure what else.

Wow you almost sound like me but mine went, twilight, sookie stackhouse, blue bloods, house of night, vampire academy, bdb, vampire kisses, now I am in the Dark hunter series, and much more.

Hi and thanks for welcoming me =) I don't know what I'll be reading when I finish the BDB, perhaps I'll start with the Midnight Breed-series...

Wow, our lists really do sound the same. I thought about the Blue Bloods, but for some reason I did't bought it. I bought the first one of the House of Night-series, but I haven't started it yet.
Hello Tytti--I really enjoyed the HON series. I also enjoyed Blue Bloods, but it didn't "hook" me as much as House of Night.

It did take a minute to get sucked into the Blue Bloods but after now I am like OMG what is going to happen next? LOL!
Hello I recently found this site and I thought I would introduce myself. I am a 45 y/o married mother of one who works full time. I live in Clearwater, Florida (shout out to Heather in Tampa). I have been a life long reader but once I got my Kindle, it has turned into an obsession. I always have my Kindle with me and I even read at stoplights. My favorite series are Fever, BDB, Midnight Breed, Meridith Gentry, Tigers Curse and I am currently working through the Dark Hunter series. I scour different sites looking for new series to start as soon as I am finshed with the next one. I look forward to seeing all the books everyone is reading. I will try and keep mine updated but I usually read them so fast that in three of four days, I have usually read at least two books.
I just picked up Marjorie M. Liu's Soul Song... Has anyone read it? I think it's Mer, or possibly siren or selkie? Right up my alley if so.
Thanks
Frances

I find myself *wanting* to get caught at the light, lol. I also hear you about keeping stuff updated... this month when I got my monthly email, I went back and updated everything I'd read since my last update and realized I was terrible with keeping up with this! :-) I see BDB mentioned as a favorite from so many different people. Maybe that's where I'll head next.

Hello my real name is Elizabeth, I live in St. Petersburg, FL and work in Tampa. I choose the user name "Escape" because that is what reading has done for me. Long story short. I love my family but they drive me CRAZY! I started reading at 38, stopped watching TV and lost 50 pounds. My first books were the Twilight series. I was watching True Blood and thought I need to read the books, waiting for the next till next Sunday for the show was killing me. However, when I looked up her books they looked childlike (I know, I know never judge a book by it's cover) and then I saw the trailer for Twilight and had to read that. After that I was hooked. I finished up the series and thought I can't stop. Hell I was losing weight, best damn diet I've ever been on. Then I started researching other books by the Borders website, seeing which ones were getting high ratings. Then I would go to the author's website if they had one and would read excerpts. If something caught my fancy then I would check them out at the library. I found a friend at work that also like to read and she suggested books to me. I have burnt her out on paranormal romances and need to find others I could talk to about the books I read. A Borders employee suggested Goodreads.com so here I am in a nut shell.

I have bought a crap load of books recently, because I was running low on my reading list, and getting ready to move so borrowing them from the library ins't such a good idea. I even tell myself walking into the bookstore. " I shouldn't be doing this.....But I want to read this book so bad." No self control there.

HI all, my name is Jacque and I live in Kansas. It snowed yesterday, which I think was the first day of spring...Oh well! I love to read - My favorite authors are Kay Hooper, Laurell K Hamilton (I keep hoping the real Anita comes back!!), Kelley Armstrong and of course the Sookie series! My own paranormal library would rival some public libraries! I can't seem to give my books away after I buy them! However, I don't really like the Twilight series! I am looking forward to learning about some new authors here.

Hello all!Quinn Keitt here author of the Vamp Rom Novel Crimson Stained
I've been floating around here for a while now but I haven't introduced myself, made a foot print, nothing! :-/
Shame on me!
But I wanted to give you all the gist of my book and what it's about:
Lacey was pretty happy with her current leisure existence despite the few complaints here and there. Living on her own rocked her socks. However, while coming home from work one night and based on sheer awful luck, she witnessed a disturbing attack on a young and rather eye-catching youth. Thinking the worse was over she continued to go about her daily business. That is, until the boy she saw sprawled out on the bloody street shows up pressed against her balcony window. Obviously something is wrong. This boy should be dead. He is dead. So why then is he stalking her, in the nude? Does he want to start his own army of creatures of the night or does he feel some kind of enticement to her that is unexplainable? Lacey will soon come to find that not all legendary stories are true, when it comes to being involved with a Vampire.
-So, that's the story morning glory, hope you all get the chance to learn more about me and my novel and I can't wait to talk to you guys.
Happy reads everyone!

6.Ashes of midnight
7.Shades of midnight

I just have the iPhone version and I have to flip the pages much faster. But hey... it was free (the app).

Hi everyone! New here I'm a nursing student and since I'm studying all the time or too tired to get ready to out by the time I'm done with classes. I've been escaping into books lately. I guess I should thank the Twilight series for getting the ball rolling and I'd have to be honest I didn't hear anything about Twilight. I just kept going to the bookstore looking for a book and kept seeing these black books with such a simple cover and basically it was the simple dynamic cover that got me to crack the book. So I had no expectations. It was one of the first series books I got into and it opened a whole new world for me. I'm not much of a romance novel lover as in I hate human romances I feel they're kind of corny and artificial for my liking (I can't help but roll my eyes). So paranormal romances is more of an escape to me. I enjoy the unrealisticn-ess of it, I don't find myself comparing it to reality even though I sometimes wish there was a hott vamp around, a steamy were or a magic spell to solve problems lol. So anyway, it's my escape from the stresses of the real world. My can't put down, read multiple times and even to listen to the audiobooks (I live in California helps pass the time stuck in traffic) are:
totally looking forward the new books of these series in the next couple months I'm counting down the days.
I've also enjoyed:
Love any other suggestions similar to the books above. I get obsessed and go through series so fast I just can't put it down.

I've read that MJ Davidson series also Betsey reminds me of either the girl on clueless or legally blonde of the underworld lol. It definitely is a fun series. I need to add book 8 to my list to read. Last week I finished reading
it's a short story compilation it's entertaining with a back story regarding Antonia the werewolf. I did see the
bookcover and was really interested lol. After high school I did graphic design and I get attracted to bookcover designs lol. I once inspired to do those for a living. I'll definitely look that one up too! Thanks Robin!

You and I are about the same. I read a lot before Twilight but nohting like now. I never not have a book in my hand now. ILOVE LOVE LOVE to read. I also love the BDB by JR Ward, The sookie books, and Nora Roberts. You should try the House of Night series, it was fun.
