My favorite series is The Breeds by Lora Leigh. I've read the series a handful of times and still love it.
If I can get a paranormal on my Kindle, I'll read it. :-)

I am an author but don't hold it against me! I'm even more a reader :) I read across all romance genres but always come back to my first love: dragon shifters, wolves ect... Thank you for h..."
We won't hold you being author against you, actually we so need you for us to even have book discussions plus books to even read!! ;-) Thanks

Hello everyone, I'm new to Goodreads and happy to be here. I love all things paranormal and fantasy. What are the latest great reads? Any suggestions?
Jade

Then came a little film called Star Wars. It changed my life. But The Car oddly enough is what started me writing. At age six I wrote a book for The Car it was about 4 page. In the third grade, I began writing more often and found it was to my liking and that my peers seemed to like it.
In the early 1980s, three horror films came that made an impact on me. An American Werewolf In London, The Howling, and Wolfen. Thus, my fascination with werewolves began.
When I met my girlfriend and lifemate, we discovered we both liked the same music and had an afinity for these creatures of the night. She begged me to write her a medieval werewolf story. We agreed that it shouldn't be the "typical" tired, traditional tale, so we thought, the werewolf always gets a bad wrap, so let's make him the hero, and thus, "Moonwarriors" was born.
My published my book in Sept. 2004. My mother died Oct. 2004 and 6 weeks later her mother dies in Dec. 2004. In April of 2005 I had a pace maker put in me because my heart is backwards. Then, August 2005, Hurricane Katrina hit and took everything I owned. We all survived though. So, we were homeless for a few months. Next, we moved to Tennessee with my brother Christopher. The group up here that was going to help us with furniture and stuff didn't so we had to get a little here and there, used of course. My second got published in 2009. My girlfriend of 20 years fell down the stairs and crushed three of her disc. So, we moved to another apt. and after 5 years of living there, they kick us out! So, we go back to the town houses. I found out I have congestive Heart Failure and got a new pace maker. I have been working on my third book, Moonwarriors: In An Blackened Dawn. Hopefully, nothing awful will happen.

I might be one of the few but I love horror as well. First only the movies but then discovered Stephen King and well..had to add horror to my favorite genres as well.
Hope to meet new friends, books and recommendations :)

I think that's all I got! Nice to meet you all :)
Hi there! So glad I found this group. I'm Ivy from Colorado! I read and write paranormal/supernatural romance so I'm always on the lookout for more great books to read. I'm looking forward to finding some new favorites here.

I promise to be respectful of the Self-Promotion rules. I moderate a very large M/M Romance group so I know how frustrating it can be to have promo show up in places where it doesn't belong :)
I haven't ready anything but M/M for about 5 years now but within that genre I still love a good PNR or UF story.

My favorite authors are Heather Graham, Stephenie Meyer, Gena Showalter and etc.
When I am not writing, I like to spend time daydreaming and go on vacation trips. I like to bring my kids to the nearby HK Disneyland and at the same time look for ideas for my next book. This way, I am constantly delivering great and interesting contents for readers of all ages to enjoy. Nice to meet you guys here.
Thanks.

Hi Christal, nice to meet you. I also like to read paranormal romance & fantasy as much as I like to write them. Nice to meet you here. Cheers.

I love paranormal romance, horror, sci-fi and fantasy, along with a good deal of mainstream authors(Karin Slaughter, JD RObb/Nora Roberts and others).

Recently I've had a dry spell with this genre so if anyone has any good recommendations to give me bring it on! I'd love to know what else is out there that I haven't encountered yet.
Some of my favorite authors include Jeaniene Frost, Karen Marie Moning and J.R. Ward (before her books started getting annoying lol).
Welcome, Valentina! I've found so many great recommendations on here already, I hope you'll find a few new reads, too. It's a great group.

Thanks Ivy!

Wow thanks Lorna! I'll check them out :)

As of right now I am a college student studying HCSA, so my main leisure reading usually happens during the winter and summer breaks!
A friend told me about good reads because I never knew what to read next! Great decision on my part!! I will do my best in participating in the discussions and book recs!!!
Nice it meet everyone!!
Welcome, Kelly and Haley, this group has great recommendations, I think you'll enjoy it!

I'm a working mother of 4 and a huge fan of paranormal romance.
My introduction to this genre was BDB. I tend to love series books, and watching the characters develop during each story.
My favourites are the Psy-changeling series, Archangel series, Demonica series, and IAD. I'm currently reading the Rylee Adamson series, and enjoying all the different creatures she encounters.
I look forward to getting to know people here, and reading some of the recommendations posted here.

I sent a friend request :)

My name is...Erryn (clearly) and I've recently been diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (I can't explain it simply, if your interested, maybe google it? I can answer a few questions, but not many)
Reading has kept my head on straight. It keeps me sane. I like the idea of; idk, alternate universes where everything rocks. You know?
I have a soft spot for vampires :3 omg, they're just perfect...but so are shifters.
Take that Twilight ;}
Well...I think I'm about finished. Sorry for such a huge intro :$
Much love, everyone!
Happy reading! Xo

I just joined this group a little while ago. :)
I've been a fan of Paranormal Romance and Urban Fantasy for ages!

Ummm... my favourite authors are Lauren Kate (Fallen), Rachel Caine (Morganville Vampires & Weather Wardens), Cassandra Clare (Mortal Instruments), L. J. Smith (Vampire Diaries) and Veronica Roth (Divergent trilogy). There's probably more, but those are the ones i can think of right now. :)
I'm also a big fan of anime (and manga) and I love Merlin (It's one of the few TV shows I watched to completion).
I really like this group! Nice to meet everyone. :)

Hey Nina. Congratulations...
I love pnr but I've never tried dystopian or sci-fi. I liked the blurb of

But enough about that! I like to read a variety of books. Urban fantasy, paranormal romance, horror, mystery, crime, sci-fi, post-apocalyptic/dystopian, regular fantasy (is there such a beast?), young adult, romantic suspense... I'm willing to give anything a try!
Some of my favorite authors are Thomas Harris, Dean Koontz, John Saul, Clive Barker, Ransom Riggs, Brian Jacques, Garth Nix, Jeffery Deaver, Douglas Adams, George R. R. Martin, and R.L. Stine (LOVED his young adult series, The Fear Street Saga).
Some of my favorite books are The Lovely Bones, Jodi Picoult's Nineteen Minutes, Jeffery Deaver's The Coffin Dancer, Sabriel by Garth Nix, The Hero and the Crown by Robin McKinley, and anything by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. Oh, and The Blackstone Chronicles by John Saul. Those were a huge inspiration to me!
Writing like what's in TV shows like Sleepy Hollow, Once Upon a Time, and Castle are what I look for in romances, so if anyone has any recommendations, I'm all ears!
