Susan (soconnor031) Hi,

I've been looking around and am super excited about this month's read. It's been on my wishlist for a little while, but since you all are reading it, I thought it was time to take the plunge. I must admit, that my to-read list has grown quite a bit after looking through some of the posts.

I read A LOT of fantasy and Sci fi and I love all the tiny groupings in the middle.

Bookaholic F (flady) | 4 comments Hello,
I'm a 39 belgian lady who loves to read and the last time it often is (urban) fantasy ,ya or books with a paranormal twist. My favourtites are at this moment in this genre Laini Taylor,Michael Grant and so many I still have to discover. Angelfall is also a book I want to read so I think i'm at the right place here to give and get some tips...

message 1559: by Shanyn (new)

Shanyn | 4 comments Hello!

I'm a rabid reader (4-6 books/week) who is relatively new to the paranormal romance/urban fantasy genre, but I am LOVING it!

I'm having a wonderful time discovering indie writers and all of the different genre shoot offs that exist. I've always been a hopeless romantic and a lover of all things magic, so this genre is tailor made for me… ;) I'm thrilled to be here and looking forward to chatting with you all!

message 1560: by Alexandra (new)

Alexandra Cameron | 1 comments Hey everyone!

I'm Alex from the UK and I'm a reader and writer of paranormal romance and erotica. I'm a big fan of vampire romance in particular and have recently written my first vampire novella. I'm looking forward to discovering more great books in this genre.

Prismseven | 24 comments Hello, i will apologize up front. I love to read and i normally read a book a day. I'm a director of nursing not a literary major so my spelling sucks at times. I'm a Hugh fan of erotic/paranormal stories. I prefer books in a series and longer length novels. I didn't start enjoying adult themed books until i hit my thirties now i cant get enough. I'm always looking for new authors to enjoy. My favorites include JR Ward, C harris, sylvia day, vj chambers to list a few.

Lyn Johanson | 14 comments Hi everyone!
I joined this group a week or two ago, and I think I forgot to introduce myself. Well, here we go :)

I love meeting new people and chatting about books, fantasy worlds, or nothing in particular. LOL
Some of my favorite authors are: Kresley Cole, Nalini Singh, Larissa Ione, Patricia Briggs...
But lately I've been in some kind of funk, and I'd love some recommendations. I'm searching for something that could keep me up all night :)

message 1565: by Tina (new)

Tina | 16 comments Lyn. You should try the authors Shelly Laurenston, C.L Wilson, Catherine Anderson, Vivian Arend, and Maya Banks. I hope this helps you but these are my favorite authors.

I have three beautiful daughters 7, 3, and 1, which my wonderful husband says "it takes a really father to raise girls" :). I just recently finished nursing school, waiting to take my state boards next week, and than hopefully being working soon. As for reading I love anything paranormal romance, romance in general, and pretty much anything that sounds interesting or good. I look forward to getting to know all of you.

Aww, you are SOOOO needed. Not enough caring nurses for our elderly.

Kuddos for all that you do.

Tara Stone | 33 comments Prismseven wrote: "I'm a director of nursing in a long term nursing home and assisted living facility."

I give you kudos and a lot of respect for doing long term care, it takes a special person and special nurse for that area. After my first and third clinic experience I knee long term care was not for me.

Mike Zillion (mikezillion) | 1 comments Good to meet everyone!

Thirty-three pages of introductions and replies is quite a lot to go through, but I'm enjoying what I see when I dip in here and there. Eventually, I hope to get to know more folks here.

I'm someone who appreciates good writing, and I've always had a taste for the unusual and the exotic. Mainstream fantasy has never appealed to me as much as counterculture fiction. I have a feeling I'll be introduced to some worthwhile options if I pay attention here.

One thing that appealed to me about the introductory rules to this group was the codification of the "happily ever after" rating of a book. I've never been one to seek out books that tried to protect me from the nature of the characters, no matter where that took them.

I'll be looking forward to participating here.

-Mike

E.D.C. Johnson | 8 comments Hello,

I am EDC Johnson, writer, mother, and art teacher.

My baby girl is turning one soon so much of my free time is spent planning for the festivities. I work for my husband as his social media specialist e.g. doing the webpage and such...yeah, I said I was an art teacher. Well, I was, for over a decade, until my baby was born. So working for hubby allows me to be home on leave with the baby.

Paranormal/scifi/fantasy has always been something I enjoy. This includes the kind of TV, movies and books I like.

Anyway I look forward to lurking around here and finding some new reads.

Teyla Branton (teylabranton) | 3 comments Hi everyone! I've been on this list for a while but this is my first official post. My name is Teyla Branton and I'm an avid reader of urban fantasy. I especially love books that are heavy on plot and characterization and lighter on the romance side (though I love my books to have a romance element). I also write urban fantasy. I'm looking forward to finding some great book recommendations! I love books and reading!

Dee J. Stone (deejstone) | 5 comments Hi :)

My name is Dee J. Stone. I just joined and wanted to say hi and am looking forward to join in the discussions. I've published a few books, the latest one being a NA Paranormal Romance about a human girl who falls in love with a merman. My other novels are about superheroes and about a girl who is cursed to turn into a half snake. This place looks like a lot of fun :)

message 1591: by Adriano (new)

Adriano Bulla (adriano_bulla) Hello,

I was christened Adriano, but have always found the name too pompous and important, and, though I regard the Roman Emperor with my name as a gay icon, whose romantic love is heart-rending, I have normally been called Ade in the UK (for Italian speakers, I will let you imagine the jokes on my name...).

Ok, what do I read? I'm a great lover of classics and poetry, and I believe Wuthering Heights is possibly the greatest romance ever written: so visceral, so strong...

I love Literature, Art, Music, History and Philosophy, and have a passion for Classical and Medieval languages, History and Literatures.

Ade

message 1592: by Sanja (new)

Sanja Hello, I am Sanja (like Sanya) and I am new here! I am an author who recently published. :) My book is Amaranth (Demon City Chronicles).

I love any type of YA fantasy, paranormal and dystopian as well as contemporary, Shakespeare, Greek tragedy and poetry.

I love British history, mainly Tudor period. And I am doing my PhD in European Politics right now.

I'd love to get to know people on here and discuss books!

message 1593: by N.D. (last edited Feb 12, 2014 03:30PM) (new)

N.D. Taylor (ndtaylor) | 9 comments Well hello and nice to meet you all.

I'm N.D. and I'm currently a nursing student and single mother in the big ol' state of Texas. I co-author epic urban fantays/PNR novels with a good friend named Alisha.

I'm very fond of reading books in the same genre, an avid Dresden Files reader, and I love the show Supernatural.

message 1594: by Carolina (new)

Carolina Montague (cstewart) | 19 comments Hi to all the new folks! I had to have surgery when I was visiting India and it knocked me out but the male physicians looked like Bollywood stars - long lashes, white teeth, very fine features. If I'd been younger I would have flirted but they are pretty prudish in India, so I don't know how that would have gone down . . .

message 1595: by Kayla (new)

Kayla (kaylamoore) | 6 comments Hi guys. I'm Kayla. 23 year old dental assistant from Nevada. I love paranormal fantasy and just finished the Lux series by Jennifer Armentrout and it is all I can talk about at the moment. It was amazing! No boyfriend and I'm really looking for a new place to move. Somewhere no one knows me and I can completely reinvent myself. I want to write my own series one day and who knows, maybe it will happen :)
