Dante Craddock (DanteCraddock) | 10 comments Dante Craddock is a pen name I have chosen as a writer, but who is Dante Craddock you may ask? He is a writer of Paranormal Love Stories. For love is all he thinks about. It is all that he can be for in the end that is what he is. In his name lies the secret of his existence. It is for you the reader to discover this secret. What is Dante Craddock?

I write Love Stories, but not ordinary everyday Love Stories. The Love Stories I write are about the magic that is love. A magic that flows between two people in love. For when two people fall in love they create a magic that is all their own. Magic that has the power to do incredible, unexplainable things. In the Power of Love Trilogy I explore this magic. I will show you that the power of love is timeless in A Love Beyond Time. I will show you that what is lost can be regained in Memories of Love. In Believing is Seeing I will show you that you must truly believe in the magic of love in order to see it in all of its majesty.

Joseph (mccannx) Greetings and salutations,
my name is Joe - I am an avid reader across many different genres.
I don't read much sci fi... I like The Adventures of The Stainless Steel Rat, Deathworld, Ender's Game, and Callahan's Crosstime Saloon.
My favorite genre is fantasy, but really haven't been able to find too many authors that really pull me in. Classics like Tolkien were great, the first couple Robert Jordan books were great, Wizard's First Rule was fun.
I like good adventure stories of any genre, including Winterdance, Seabiscuit, and recently I have been getting hooked on YA because that seems to be where the most exciting and innovative writing is happening (Hunger Games, Divergent, MazeRunner, etc.)
Feel free to stop by and check out my booklist or drop me a friend request, I am fairly new to the Goodread's neighborhood.

Best!
Joe

Marcus Abshire Author | 3 comments My name is Marcus and one sweltering summer weekend in highschool I was introduced to the Dragonlance trilogy and never looked back. I don't read paranormal romance much but I do love urban fantasy novels. There's just something about magical creatures living, fighting and existing in a modern urban setting that makes reading fun.

Amy (amysevan) | 2 comments Hi! New to the group... my name is Amy and I love to read UF and paranormal romance that completely engrosses the reader. Think JR Ward, Patricia Briggs, Jacqueline Carey... looking for the next best series and some awesome stories.

message 1456: by Ruthie (new)

Ruthie Thayer | 6 comments Hi! My name is Ruthie, reading has always been a passion of mine. I could and have read from morning till night just to finish a book. I was given a kindle a few years ago as a gift and must say it was the best gift ever. Who knew how awesome is was to buy a book by just pushing a button. I was shortly after that I started reading romance books again. I was into murder mysteries at the time. Then one day I was looking through books and bought my first vampire book. I loved it!! I have been hooked ever since. So now I balance my reading time between romance and paranormal romance. Who doesn't love a good romance with a vampire, a shifter and so on!

message 1457: by Mika (new)

Mika (mika_bull) | 13 comments Hello! My name is Mika. I joined Goodreads this past November. I am slowly getting more active in the Goodreads community. I joined b/c I wanted a way to find more books to read, track what I've read, and read reviews from people that like the same books as I do. I also want to interact with people that enjoy reading as much as I do!

The genres I tend to read are urban fantasy, paranormal romance, and fantasy. I'm pretty sure the love affair started way back when with the Anita Blake series. I've found that these genres usually have the strong, sassy female lead that I like. And some pretty great male leads, too. ;)

I carry my Kindle with me wherever I go. I can't be without something to read. I look forward to getting to know everyone!

Jacqueline Farrell Hello my name is Jackie Farrell, I joined Goodreads a few months back and am still trying to get to grips with it, since I'm a bit of a luddite where the internet is concerned. I have published a few romance novels under the name Jacqueline Webb and also a paranormal romance with Lyrical press under Jacqueline Farrell. I veer between reading crime novels and paranormal/ horror novels. I live in UK and am an English teacher.

Krista | 1 comments Hi, I'm Krista,
I'm always reading. I like my urban fantasy, paranormal, some horror, and sometimes young adult books. I joined Goodreads earlier this year and am now starting to get more active in its community.
Some of my favorite authors are:

- Ilona Andrews (I'm fairly certain she's my #1 fav author)
- Darynda Jones (hilarious!)
- Karen Marie Moning (how dare she make us wait until April for the next instalment!! The wait is killing me!! KILLING)
- Kresley Cole (she does no wrong)
- Susan Ee (only one book and she's already on my top favorite list)
- Nalini Singh (she just keeps getting better and better!)
- Thea Harrison (her new series is ok...i much prefer her Elder Race series)

and that's just the tip of the iceberg!
I look forward to seeing what the paranormal addicts group has

Anne Berkeley (aberkeley) Hi I'm Anne, I too joined the PNR with Twilight. I expanded voraciously from there, quickly eating up any books I could get my hands on. (I wish my wallet could keep up with me.) Anyhow, I'm a wife and mother of two wonderful children, a full time cube dweller and experiment in many different pastimes. Reading is definitely sticking. I look forward to meeting many new friends here in the group and chatting about all the wonderful books. ~Anne

A.C. Heller (acheller) | 8 comments Hello everyone!

My name is A.C. Heller and I've been on Goodreads for a few years now! I admittedly just added books I've read and never really looked into the groups function of the site but now that I have, I have to say, I'm happy I did. I've recently released my first book so I've been spending a vast amount of time on this site and reading the advice and comments people have to offer. I'm glad that there is a site like this around with people like yourselves to help guide those, such as myself, that are new too all of this. So it's very nice to meet all of you and I hope to be around for quite some time!

Ann Thorrson (ann_thorrson) | 19 comments Hi!

I'm Bisky and I think this might be the group I've been looking for :3

I'm a writing enthusiast, and most of the people who friend me on GoodReads follow my writing prompts/inspiration on twitter. I want to get everyone writing as much as reading! To discover how magical it is to write your own story :3

I love paranormal romance! Massive Sherrlyin Kenyon fan in my early teens (sorry mum :x) though I don't write anything kinky myself, if you know what I mean :p

I have one novel I'm querying, another I'm in the process of editing that I hope to self publish before Christmas. Both are Urban Fantasy. My eBook is heavily influenced buy my love of paranormal romance (though its not centered heavily on the romance part) and the superpowers in anime. Lots of action and a heroine who has to discover her strengths to chase after the husband that was taken from her :3

Though I also like comic books and I'm a huge movie buff.

I'm hoping to be active here but if you think I'm familiar you might have seen me on twitter in the writing commuity :3 as Bisky_Scribbles

I always have a Urban Fantasy book in my bag, I love those ones from those spinny wheelie racks at airports the most. Even if they can be alittle cheesy sometimes :3

Shira Anthony (shiraanthony) | 4 comments I'm Shira Anthony. I live in Raleigh, NC, and have 2 full time jobs (lawyer and writer). 2 kids, 2 crazy dogs, and I love to spend weekends at the Carolina coast on our catamaran sailboat (headed there this holiday weekend, in fact!).

I love romances in general, read and write MM romances with an occasional het romance in the mix. I love paranormal, sci fi, contemporary, and historicals. I guess that's just about every genre!

Glad you meet you!

message 1471: by K.A. (new)

K.A. Taylor (kataylorromance) | 5 comments Hi Guys :) New to the group. I've been writing erotica almost exclusively for the last couple of years, and I finally got tired of trying to think up new names for body parts.

I've just released my first PNR, The First Alpha, and have been firmly bitten by the shifter bug. Why did nobody tell me I was allowed to write about werewolves? :D

message 1472: by Erica (new)

Erica | 1 comments Merry Meet! My name is Erica and I am a self-proclaimed bookworm! I love novels that dive into a world much more dark and fantastic than our own! I have joined this group not only for the reading aspect but also for the chance to meet people who are like-minded and as darkly-inclined as I am.

Hey guys! :)
I'm Ashleigh! I just moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma from Dallas, Texas. I actually really DISLIKED reading when I was in school. But my first book to actuall sit down and enjoy reading was Demon in my view by Amilia Atwater-Rhodes. Stop reading for a while and then picked up My Wicked Vampire by Nina Bangs. And OMG! lol Slightly obsessed! :) Also in love with Kresley Cole.

I do believe there are beings out there that some do not notice. things that are hidden. Some don't want to believe or see things. But I love the chance!

Reading puts you in a different world. Gives you a chance to be a different person. I found my hobby, and i;m staying with it! I hope to make friends who share the same interests!!!

Jessie Donovan (jessiedonovan) Hi, my name is Jessie! I've read fantasy and science-fiction since I was a teenager and got into PNR about five years ago. My favorites are Kresley Cole, Nalini Singh, and Larissa Ione. Although Kristen Callihan's books are becoming interesting too!

My love for paranormal romance finally pushed me to do something I've always wanted to do--publish a book. The first scary step of getting my first book out there is over, and now I'm just cruising along to get the next one finished and out there soon!

Nice to meet you all!

message 1484: by J.M. (new)

J.M. Guillen (jmguillen) | 1 comments My name is JM Guillen. I spend most of my time trying to enslave western civilization and experimenting with armies of drones and cloned dinosaurs. My super-villain name is "The Pen-Dragon".

I also tend to write a bit.

My work is published through Irrational Worlds, an evil publishing conglomerate based on the Daedalus space station. Currently it consists of four novellas. These range from:

A fantasy romance, about a priestess of passion and desire...
to
A steampunk detective story, with more than a dash of suspense...
to
A science fiction/spy romp battling against cthulian horror...
to
A modern faerie tale about the embodiment of Autumn, hunting the shadows of our world...

My work is all interconnected, and the stories contain strands of each other. I'll admit that it's more than a little bit of a game for me, and I try and make it fun WHILE enslaving the masses. I am currently working on the steampunk/detective story, and expanding it into a series.

An evil series. With a dark and terrible purpose.

Just so everyone knows, I am on the hunt for books to review. I am specifically requesting .Mobis from goodreads authors for this nefarious task. You should be aware, however, that as a super-villain, my reviews have a bit of a slant.

If you'd like a review, message me up. I'll happily give you one.*

Ive been toying with the idea of starting my own book which has proven to be harder than I anticipated. So I guess its time to get back to reading new series to get some more inspiration :) looking forward to some suggestions
My favourite series so far would have to be hush hush by becca fitzpatrick.

message 1490: by Sherrel (new)

Sherrel Lee (sherrellee) My name is Sherrel Lee and I write books about shape-shifters, physic fairies and heroes with some genetically engineered bad creatures in the mix. I have been on Goodreads for some time but just now really trying to meet new friends and get to know as many people as I can. I am in the process of creating a PowerPoint presentation for a discussion with members at a public library and would love some opinions. The topic I selected is how - when we shop for books - we really do judge them by their covers. Think about it and let me know - do you? Does the cover make you want to look inside the book or if the cover was just a blank or a childishly rendered piece of artwork, would you open it?

Great to meet everyone here and I would love you opinions and to be friends should you wish - looking forward to hearing from members here.

message 1491: by Connie (new)

Connie | 5 comments Sherrel, I can tell you that I have read books with realistic covers (real people and settings), elaborate fantasy artwork, and very simplistic (child like) drawings. It's not the artwork that draws me in. It is typically the title and then the brief paragraph describing the book that hooks me. If the title looks appealing then I read the excerpt. I also looks specifically for authors my friends recommend (even if I don't like the title or excerpt). Lastly, I may pay more attention if another author I read regularly has endorsed them but I do not pay attention if they are on the New York's best seller list or endorsed by professional critics as you see often on the back cover. I want an excerpt directly from the book so that I can sample the writing style, or I want a brief synopsis so I can make up my mind. Those are the things that I look for on the cover (back, front, and inside)

message 1492: by Sherrel (new)

Sherrel Lee (sherrellee) Thanks for the information, It is so hard to know what is most important to readers to draw them to the stories. I don't have any doubt that to keep them it is a good story, well written, and well edited that counts. Thanks again - any one else want to chime in?

Literate _Leah (literature_leah) | 2 comments Hi I'm Leah. I'm from Australia and my current obsession is YA paranormal romance. I tend to read on my way to work and to relax when I get home. I started reading YA as a way to wind down but not have to work my brain too much. Right now I'm going through the Wolves of Mercy Falls series and loving it.

I joined this group to discuss some of the books that I love and discover what to read next through the recommendations of people who are into the same genre as me.

Feel free to add me as a friend, I'd love to know what your reading at the moment :)

message 1495: by Genevieve (new)

Genevieve Guzman (_genevievemarie) | 5 comments Hi, I'm Genevieve. I'm pretty new to Goodreads, so I'm still trying to figure this out. I, unfortunately, took a break from reading after having my second, then third child back to back. I REFUSED ereaders, but eventually gave in and I wouldn't be able to read without one currently (reading in the dark is difficult when putting cranky kids to bed).

I have always loved fantasy/paranormal fiction. It's more enjoyable to read about than something that could actually happen in regular life (too dull, I guess).

message 1496: by Shelly (new)

Shelly Alan | 2 comments Hi, I'm Shelly and I'm newish to Goodreads. I admit to a lifelong love of paranormal and fantasy, starting with Stephen King and Anne Rice when I was much too young to be reading them. I let my pleasure reading falter for a few years before ereaders came on the scene, but since then I've become more addicted than ever. I think I've owned every generation of the e-ink Kindles. The best part about the Kindle is that it allowed me to indulge my tastes in romance without anyone being the wiser. Some of my favorites in recent years are Kelley Armstrong, Sherrlyin Kenyon and Sylvia Day.

I'm also a writer and I've been writing fun, quirky, campy, and kinky erotica for years now. I'm currently working on my first PNR... which is actually a collaboration with my husband (and it's sooo much fun to work on sexy stories together). I'm sure we'll be doing ARCs here on Goodreads eventually, probably sometime next year.

Feel free to add me as a friend. I need more book recommendations!
