Hey guys! My name is Cora and I'm a student in Ireland. Enjoy reading paranormal romances, particularly anything which features vampires! But I'll try anything :) My love of the paranormal genre began when I was maybe 9. I read Darren Shan's vampire saga and ever since I've been hooked!! Can't wait to join some discussions and get some recommendations.

Hullo to all. Syla here, 26, and lover of paranormal romance books since 2009 if my calculations are correct (that was the year I first got my hands on "Dark Lover" by J. R. Ward--a pretty good -first- if I do say so myself). I'm very excited to be here and hope to talk up some books with everyone

Hola my name is Adriana born in the year 1974 in the sunny city of Miami Florida, yes my family is Cuban. I speak English and spanish. I have been in love with the paranormal ever since I first saw Dracula with Frank Langella. My favorite music genre is 80 Hard Glam Rock, Poison, Bon Jovi, Motley Crue, Cinderella, Winger, KISS, Skid Row you name it have disdain Hip Hop, give me man with long hair and tight pants over gold teeth and saggy pants (nasty)
My favorite shows extended from Dark Shadows, Supernatural, Once Upon A TIme, Arrow, SmallVille, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Moonlight, Blood Ties and Ghost Adventures.
My favorite book series are The Twilight Saga, The Mortal Instruments and Infernal Devices, The Hunger Games and Harry Potter. I also enjoy reading mystery and I'm a fan of Jane Eyre.
Speaking of comic books I love the X-Men as well as the Avengers, my favorite is Iron Man but I'm madly in love with Thor. Looking foward to getting to know you all.

He's the hottest rocker out there especially is voice. *swoon I also like Bon Jovi and Kiss, but its a bit before my time I guess, sure appreciate the classics though.
Like all the shows you mentioned, oh what do you think of the marvel movies?? I loved them allthough I have never read the comics..
I have never picked up a comic book myself but I love the movies, The Dark Knight trilogy is also one of my favorites because of it gothic element. Besides Christian Bale was swoon worthy both as Bruce Wayne and Batman. In the X-Men franchise even though they are ages apart I shipped Wolverine/Roque in the Avengers I have come to ship Tony/Pepper, Bruce/Betty Ross, and Thpr/Jane Foster although I'm kind began shipping Thor and Black Widow too.
Cool, to be honest I haven't seen the Dark Knight trilogy, yet. But I liked The Avangers, Iron Man, Captain America, I have Thor on my computer but haven't had the time to watch it yet, I love Thor but that is more because I love German mythology, I like it when they use deities.
Well Irene you may love the sequel Thor: The Dark World would be more steamed in Viking mythology, the first movie is a mixture of science fiction and fantasy. It is kick ass and Oh Thor, swoon worthy with an S. How about the Greek mythology? I'm a big fan ancient Greece and Rome, I loved the movies, Immortals and Clash of the Titans.
Welcome aboard! I'm a big comic book fan (movies and the comics themselves); they're soap opera in tights. You should give an issue a try. It's fun to be the person in the audience yelling at the screen when the movies get something wrong. ;)In the movies, I think Tony and Pepper are just adorable together. Love them.
My personal favorite comic book couple hasn't been put in a movie yet though. I ship Madrox and Layla Miller from X-Factor, a film noir inspired X-Men spin-off. The writer is a big fan of "Angel" and "Buffy", so imagine Wolfram and Hart vs Angel Investigations, only with superheroes. It gets more complicated than that, but that's how it starts. And I love Madrox and Layla. They're awesome. He's so constantly confused by her craziness, it always makes me laugh. :) I keep waiting for them to be in one of the X-Men movies, but they've never made the cut.
I'm looking forward to the next Avengers film though, as I also ship Thanos and Death. I think I'm going to be voting for him in that movie. He's actually kind of sweet. ...If you can ignore the killings. :)
Incidentally, Marvel's going to start publishing romance novels featuring their characters. So far, they've announced She-Hulk and Rogue. But don't get too excited. It isn't Rogue and Wolverine, it's just her and some new guy. I mean, the girl has dated Gambit, Magneto and Wolverine (sorta), and now she gets a romance novel, and they pair her with someone new? Why would I want to read that? She's already GOT 3 cool guys to write about, just pick one of them! Personally, I think they missed the boat on that one, but I'm still glad to see a superhero romance novel hit the mainstream.
Who is looking foward in seeing Iron Man 3? The poster of Pepper holding Iron Man's helmet puts a lump in my throat. I think each member of The Avengers is worthy to grace the cover of romance novel.
Tony Stark: Billionare, playboy, philathrophist, and all around funny guy in love with his assistant who had secretly been in love with him for a long time.
Captain America/ Steve Rogers. : WWII solider frozen and waking up in this century where does he fit into this world?
Bruce Banner/ The Hulk: The Beast to any Beauty.
Thor: Norse God. Long blonde hair rippling biceps if anyone walked out of romance novel Is this guy.
Clint Barton/Hawkeye: Bad boy who never misses his target.
Nick Fury: All around The Ultimate Spy and looks great in leather.
Black Widow/ Natasha Rumenoff and Maria Hill are two of the lucky ladies who get to be in their company.
Hello one and all!Name's Jevron McCrory. Been writing now for years. It's just too much fun, to create.
Published a gritty vampire novella a few years back called Swan Song.
It's got wonderful reviews since publication, better than I could have hoped for! Since then, changed publishers and looking for an agent to shop my screenplays about.
The Lost Boys IS the GREATEST vampire movie of all time and I can't FUCKING STAND TWILIGHT! (Stupid faerie movie!)
Other than that, I'm pretty easy going.
Hello I'm new to this group and Goodreads..I love fantasy and paranormal books, shows, and movies. Some of my favorite authors are Laurell K Hamilton, Kim Harrison, Rachel Vincent, Yasmine Galenorn, Carrie Vaughn, and last but definitely not least Anne Rice. Really glad I found this site and this group because I'm always looking for new authors in the genre I enjoy reading. Hope to meet some new friends too :)
Hi Everyone! So I figured since half of my friends on Goodreads are a member of this group and I love Paranormal, why not join :). I'm Hayley, been on goodreads for a couple of years now, and I really enjoy a wide array of genres. Mostly romance, but within romance, contemporary, paranormal, suspense and so forth. Hoping to make some new friends on here :).
Hi everyone! My name is Mandy and I'm a stay at home mother to 5. You wouldn't think that I have much time to read, but I am actually a little embarrassed to admit how much I read! I steal a few minutes wherever I can find them to read. I love urban fantasy and paranormal romance. I just finished Chasing Magic and am currently searching for my next series :)
Just signed up on Goodreads a few weeks ago because I found out that's where all the cool, book lovin' kids hang out. Had no idea what I was missing! I've been stuck in a work/writing cave for the last few years. Finally decided to indie-publish my light paranormal, superhero romance after being told no one is interested in reading these types of stories. Now I'm taking time in between books in the series to read again and get recommendations on new paranormal books and paranormal movies/television shows. I read a wide spectrum from general fiction to horror to romance (my favorite being historical and paranormal romance).
I'm a pop culture geek. I enjoy a good comic and enjoy watching superhero cartoons and movies. I love attending Comic-Con, especially for the panels featuring writers and creators of movies, television series, and comics—anything about their creative process is intriguing to me. Also, I've met many kindred spirits at Comic-Con, who share the same interests as me (such as Joss Whedon) and are able to quote the same movies. :)
I look forward to hearing from other members about their favorite things and discussing some of the movies, television shows, and books that I enjoy.
Thank you for creating this group!
J.T. wrote: "Finally decided to indie-publish my light paranormal, superhero romance after being told no one is interested in reading these types of stories."Ah, a pain I know only too well. :) I didn't even bother submitting mine anywhere though, so you're still one up on me.
Honestly, I think publishers are behind the times on that one. One of these days, superhero romance is going to be big. I know more women who are fans of the Avengers movie then men.
Welcome to Goodreads!
Thanks, Elizabeth, I couldn't agree more. I plan to prove those publishers wrong. Best of luck with you're writing.
Hi Everyone - I'm a lifelong reader of almost anything fiction...especially romance of all kinds - HEA, Paranormal, Historical...If a book sucks me in, my only answer to any interruption is a nod or a grunt until I finish it, and if it proves to be a good series...well - my family knows that unless they are bleeding, throwing up, or running a fever over 100 degrees, I'm unavailable! I have the same passion for writing and am working on my first romance/mystery novel...including some paranormal elements! Happy to join this group...Always love making new friends!
Hi All - I read and write sci-fi romance that also can fit into the paranormal and/or fantasy genres. I've had readers put the same story of mine into all of those categories. I don't care where it is as long as someone reads my books! And I love reading romance with a touch of the supernatural. Not too much, but if a romance doesn't have something 'extra' then I may be disappointed!

Hi All, my name is Roy and I've read sci-fi/ fantasy since I was around 8 years old. In my teens I loved John Wyndham, Arthur C Clarke and then discovered Tolkien. More recently I became interested in paranormal (after some baffling and scary incidents in an old house) and in December 2012 finished my first novel - which not surprisingly is a sci-fi paranormal with a hint of fantasy :0)Look forward to finding new authors and reading of other readers views here.
Hello, I'm Michelle and I'm a 'cool' bookworm. :-DI like to read Horrors, Sci-Fi, Fantasy but you can't drag me away from a good YA book :)
If you know of any good YA books that I haven't already read, let me know and lets connect on here over our mutual YA addiction! lol ;)
Hi I am an author of young adult fantasy adventure/horror. I also loved John Wyndham and Arthur C clarke. I read the Chrysalids when i was younger and it has stuck in my head all my life. I am scared to read it again incase it doesn't feel the same.
Roy I love a good ghost story and the paranormal. Would love to know about the scary incident in your house. My latest book would be something i think you would really enjoy but I can't tell you what it is because spamming is frowned upon.
I am very interested in hearing about peoples real ghostly experiences, Although I can't promise they wouldn't end up in one of my books. lol

The author interviews a variety of people about their strange experiences and shows how some have used science to understand and explain what happened to them. It ranges from UFO experiences to ghostly ones. A lot of great ideas for your own stories.
That sounds very interesting. I will look it up but I wouldn't be able to directly use those ideas because of copy write. That's why it is best to get stories from the 'horses mouth' bacause then you can ask permission. Reading other writers is inspiring but i only read inbetween writing to keep my own ideas fresh. I have also had a good number of strange experiences in my own life to draw on.
Hi everyone!I'm Lila Veen and I'm an avid reader and author and love all thing paranormal...except vampires. *ducks* Sorry! I mostly go for books related to witchcraft, occult, and occasionally mystical/fantasy.
I'm currently writing a paranormal romance series and I'm pretty much living and breathing it right now, so I thought I'd step in and say "hi!".
Hi Lila, my latests book is partly about the 'Devil'. I have a problem though, it wont show up on my authors page because I wrote it under my real name. If anyone knows how to add book to your authors page when you have changed names that would be helpful. I am probably being dumb but I can't work it out.
Thanks all.
Thanks all.

Interested to hear about your book as well.
