Law the Magnificent (lawthemagnificent) | 1 comments Hi, people!

My real name is Filip, but you can better call me Law (that's a character from my novels that I like a lot). I'm 20 and I live in Croatia. I started writing in July 2006, at my age of 15. I started with poetry. Now I'm more of a novel writer, but I still write poems sometimes. I'm new on Goodreads, a friend introduced me to this site a few days ago. I really don't know much about it, so don't laugh at me for being lost and confused, please! :D

Unfortunately, I can't post my prose here because I write in Croatian, and it's kinda too long to translate. I can only post my poems and eventually summaries of my novels.

The title of this group attracted my attention because it reminds me of a fictional couple from my novel "Return to the dreams". I could say something about it if anyone wants to know. :D

I hope to get along well with you, guys, and to find myself in this community and learn how to work with this site properly. :D

Greetings from Croatia,
Law/Filip

I'll stick my oar in for my wife's debut novel, The Ballad of Young Tam Lin by Patricia A. Leslie . Heavy on drama, romance, and sensuality, but no graphic sex. Take a free peek on Kindle ("Look Inside").

Lanie Malone | 39 comments Hello everyone, I'm Lanie. I am an avid reader and although I only picked up PNR a few years ago, I have totally fallen in love with it. I also enjoy historical romance, mysteries, thrillers and even a little horror. I am obsessed with reading anything considered to be classic lit, simply because I want to know what makes it so special.

I can't wait to see what this group is all about. :)

A.C. Warneke (forsakened) | 45 comments Hey,all!

I am still somewhat new to goodreads, having been directed here from the amazon forums and I have to admit that it is somewhat overwhelming but in a good way.

I love romance novels in general but I greatly enjoy PNR - it is interesting to read about alternate realities where vampires and shape shifters exist, where anything can happen - and usually does. I like the different takes on vamps and weres and all of the other thigns that go bump in the night because in PNR, the rules are made to be broken.

I look forward to trying to contribute my little words of wisdom (or foolishness) to the group!!

Twisted sister paranormal Lady Book Voodoo (ladyvoodoo) | 3 comments Hey everyone Lady Zombie a.k.a Robin is here. New to the group and just introducing myself. I as well have my own blog about books of the Horror and Paranormal genre. So check it out if you want. Its on my profile.

message 1059: by Renee (new)

Renee (thebookroyal) Hello, my name is Renee. I love anything romance in general. I'd like to consider myself a hopeless romantic and i am a believer in the paranormal, so naturally I really enjoy reading Paranormal Romance books. I volunteer at my local library once a week and help out with their yearly book sales, but i wouldn't mind hearing some recommendations on books to check out or buy. I'm 18 living in California, and quite shy by nature but wouldn't mind making some new friends who share the same interests as me. So yeah, I really don't know what else to say, so i'll just end it here. :)

message 1060: by Margarita (new)

Margarita Felices (felicm60) | 12 comments Just joined the group thought I'd stop by and say hello.. What else to say? Well I'm a new author and just finished my first novel which is the first in a trilogy.. I started at the end and I'm working my way back - odd? Yes it is, but then so am I... Up for all discussions so send me messages if you want to, I usually answer them all... I mostly love all paranormal and supernatural stories and discussions, but can talk about the weather in your area if that floats your boat... Come say hello back :)

message 1061: by Nepeta (new)

Nepeta Leijon | 25 comments Hi, guys!

My name is Annette (And Roxy Rex, this is a shared account)

I've been on goodreads for about a week. I do love to review books, but you'll see that I'm really harsh on some. That's just my inner bookworm taking over me.

Don't hesitate to PM us or comment and review on our writing. I really appreciate any constructive critism.

My likes:

If you didn't already know from my user name, I AM A HOMESTUCK FAN. If you're one too, don't hesitate to send a friend request... yes, Nepeta is my favorite troll (Aradia is Roxy's... lulz, she has the same name as Lalonde)

I LOVE Charles Dickens. I am a huge fan of his, as well as Charlotte Bronte.

My favorite musician is the lovely and talented Emilie Autumn.

We work at a year round Halloween store.

That's about it!

As an author, my debut e-novel Twist of Fate was released in mid-february of this year. It's the first book in a trilogy called the Blood Rose Series. The second book in the series titled Crimson Moon will be released in April or May 2012. Both books are through No Boundaries Press.

message 1073: by Zero (new)

Zero Jones | 3 comments Hi,

First off I'll admit I was introduced to Goodreads just a couple of days ago when a friend told me about it, and that he'd put my new novel MetaMagik on his favourites list. However, since semi-cynicaly joining to help promote my book I've learned two things.

One is that I've read a hell of a lot of books. I've been adding books erratically to 'My Books' and still haven't scratched the surface of the pile of titles I've read so far in my life.

The second thing I've learned is, there is a like minded group of bibliophiles out there on the internet, and how grateful I am to have found them.

You can read the bio on my author's page, all of which is true, but it is there to help me sell books. The me behind the public face is a middle aged man with health problems. I suffer from Chronic Pain Syndrome, which in recent years has effected my mobility, to the extent that I have to spend most of my life lying on my bed here in Brighton, England. The upside to this is that I have a lot of time to read, and write of course.

As you can imaging, it would be very difficult for me to attend a book club, so this site is a great way for me to discuss books.

I'm interested in paranormal romance partly because it is one of the categorys on Amazon where my own novel fits (this is the last time I'll plug my book, if you want to know more about it please check it out on this site). Genre is odd, is it not; does a book like The Raw Shark Texts (which I heartily recommend) fit in with this group? I have no idea. However, I am always on the lookout for new books, and I'm sure I will find some good suggestions from this group. I look forward to sharing our joint love of literature with you all.

Love & peace,

Zero

Kim Hathorn | 1 comments Hi all, my name is Kim and I'm from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I love to read, especially history and historical fiction (and its related genres), but I sometimes read and enjoy other non-hist books. Although I've read several paranormal/horror/gothic books over the years, I'm very much a PnR/UF amateur. I look forward to participating with this group. Thanks!

message 1081: by Susie (new)

Susie (renaceline) Hello all, my name is Susie and I got into romance about 3 years ago. I was one of those people that made fun of my mom for reading it cause I thought it was all that mushy, sappy stuff. I swore that I would never walk into the romance section for books for myself. (I worked at Borders at the time, so I had to shelve it.) My first ever romance novel was the Georgina Kinkaid books by Richelle Mead because I love her Vampire Academy books. I am a very avid reader of young adult books. I simply loved it and became hooked and now I can't seem to stop reading them. I won't read a romance novel unless it has some sort of paranormal aspect to it though. I tend to sway towards the Vampire and werewolf ones though without even trying. I love to Role Play with friends on Gaia Online as well as write my own stories just for fun. I love to read mangas and graphic novels as well.

I will read dairy free cookbooks and Wiccan books since I am a Wiccan myself and can't have dairy at all. I'm always looking for a new, good romance book to read, but lately I have been disappointed with some authors. Hopefully I can find some new ones while being a member of this group! ^_^

France (boomette1) | 9 comments Hi :) I'm France from Montreal, Canada. I'm 32 years old. I was on Goodreads for maybe 1 or 2 years. But it's last week that I took the time to discover it and now I'm addicted to it. I've been reading paranormal books (with vampires, werewolf, demons...) since at least 2 years. I began with Kelley Armstrongs. Since them I read a lot. And with this site I'm discovering more great authors of paranormal.

Robin (robinbourke) | 13 comments Hi, ladies! I'm Robin. There seem to be an awful lot of Texans in here! I'm a transplanted Texan gal myself. Living in Canada now. I'm 34, married, two kids, etc. I have been loving PNR for along time. Began with Anne Rice's The Mummy back in high school. I was hooked.
I write stories, myself, though none of them seem to be PNR. But, still tend to run to the "dark" side, so I've been told. ;)
I was REALLY excited about this website, what a GREAT idea! I am CONSTANTLY looking for something new to read. I tend to read 2-3 books at once and I finish them too quickly.

Kym Grosso (kgrosso1) | 21 comments Hi there- Just introducing myself to the group. This week, I published my first novel, a paranormal romance, Kade's Dark Embrace. It is almost urban fantasy...very edgy, strong female heroine and urban settings. It is most definitely on the spicy side. :-)

I also write about autism on PsychologyToday.com. I always wanted to write a book about autism, but then I ended up writing something totally unrelated, which was a lot of fun.

I LOVE reading paranormal romances and urban fantasy books. :-) So I am glad I joined here. I am always looking for new books to read in this genre....I have a total Kindle addiction. LOL :-) It will be great to get recommendations on new books.

S.C. Mitchell (scmitchell) Hi all. My name is Steve. (Yeah, I’m a guy. How did I end up here?) Actually I love reading Paranormal Romance. Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Dark Hunter series is one of my favorites. I’m also a fan of Christine Feehan, Elizabeth Vaughan, and Gail Carriger. I discovered that I loved Romance when my wife slipped Charmed by Nora Roberts into my reading pile. (You never forget your first…)

I’m a retired Computer Desktop Support Specialist, and I live in north-central Wisconsin with my wife, my garden and my music. My two adult children have flown the coup. With the nest empty, I have lots of time to read. I’ve also decided to try my hand at writing. I’ve currently got two books published under the name S. C. Mitchell.

I’m looking to get involved here in the discussions and pick up some new authors to follow, and inspire my own work.
