Introductions!

I'm 20yrs old, and am studying to become a vet! So cant really keep up my love of reading but i try!!
Some of my favorite authors are Lara Adrian, Jennifer Estep,Maria V. Snyder, Chloe neill, etc etc etc! The list is endless!! Anyways hi everyone!!!!!!!

I'm 23 and in college. Still kind of trying to decide what to do with my life. Working on completing a degree in nutrition with a minor in English, and may go on to graduate studies in one of those subjects.
I've been lurking around Goodreads for a long time, recently decided to take a more active role! I also started a book blog and a book-centered Youtube channel.
I adore reading SF/fantasy. Most recently I read Karen Marie Moning's Fever Series, which is some wonderful urban fantasy!
Pleased to meet all of you!

Anyway, along my life have been liking most literature genres, as long as the book is not a depressing story. I tend to like more fantasy/scifi genres.
One year ago, I bumped into a fantasy/erotic book which I liked so much that made me explore a bit more about romance books, having ended up landing on paranormal romances as my favorites. So, I don't know much more than Kresley Cole and J.R. Ward, being the first one my favorite.
Don't know if I'll stick to the genre for a long time, but while I feel addicted to it, I'll be around :)

my dad's in the army so we moved around a lot so i have plenty of time for reading. i love paranormal romance novels.
My friends would say i'm a few fries short of a happy meal, but i dont mind because they think im weird because i can feel the air around me change before something bad happens.
I would like it people sent me recomendations as i need some books to read.

I'm Darren, a goodreads author. I'm a huge fan of UF, kind of addicted to vampires, werewolves and most things paranormal.
I'm leaning towards the more digital reads these days, I've not bought a paperback for a few months. The only thing I'd say I'm missing with reading more ebooks, is the way a book smells.
I'd really enjoy to start connecting on here with everyone, I love connecting with my readership via emails and the such.
I'm not that new to goodreads, but I've not spread my wings that much in here yet. I'm hoping to change that.
feel free to add me as a friend on here, follow me on twitter @DARREN_POOLE and you can find me on facebook too http://on.fb.me/uirnjz
I'm looking forward to chatting with you all.
Darren.

Pet Peeve: Do not talk to me about the twilight books, as far as i am concerned the books are nothing but a way to start a nice bon fire

Terra I think you're following me (LOL)
Play nice, remember everyone has at least one series they think is a waste of brain cells

My name is Samantha. I live in South Florida and love to read, bike, take pictures, drink coffee, go to the movies, and pull for the University of Alabama! There aren't a ton of ppl in my neck of the woods to discuss books with so I joined goodreads in hopes of remedying that. I look forward to the discussions- and hope I get a lot of friend adds so I can see the reviews and whatnots of those who enjoy the same kinds of books that I do. HINT HINT :) I like the paranormal/urban stuff (KMM, Ilona Andrews, etc), snarky detectives (think Robert B. Parker's Spenser), crazy serial killers (think Tim Dorsey's Serge) and stuff such as that. Look forward to hearing from yall :)

I love to write, and am working on several stories that are fictional fantasy romance.
I'm looking forward to making friends here and getting recommendations for new reads! I always need a book to read, so if anyone has a suggestion, please toss it my way! Thanks!

Rhonda I confess I'd never heard of Drizzt, but now I know. I see the eries got got ratings.
Amy Great luck on your writing, you'll find others prowling the threads as well.

My name is Dominique and (say it with me) I am a book addict :) I was born in Heidelberg, Germany and I am 17 years old. I am current living in Virginia and plan on moving to Oregon next summer for college. I am a big paranormal romance fan. When ever I read books with romance, there has to be a vampire, faerie, werewolf, ghost, witch, or something along those lines in it. It wouldn't seem right to me. Haha. I love anything paranormal. I run a blog for all my interests (link on my page) but it is not for the faint of heart. I do post things that do not appeal to everyone and a lot of posts are NSFW. My tame posts feature but are not limited to tea, books, Doctor Who, travel, Harry Potter, Emma Watson, and animals. If this tickles your curiosity, then by all means have a visit :)
I am always looking for new reads and is very excited to read everyone's discussions on here that are all things paranormal.

My name is Kelster, I am new to GR and I find that I am addicted to Paranormal romance. I have read several series but am on the hunt for more more more! I love finding new series and authors and am always game to discuss old favorites. Glad to be here!

Actually, my current interest in paranormal romance sprang, believe it or not, from seeing Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and becoming fascinated by the character of Remus Lupin. Of course I read the books afterwards and adored him even more (though the less said about the last book, the better, ugh). Anyway, when I was commissioned to write a paranormal myself, I decided to take my favorite genres -- mystery and historical romance and werewolves -- and mixed 'em all together in a big ol' gumbo.
I'm an author and editor, as well as a freelance web designer based in NYC. Oh yes, and I suffer from Anglophilia (well, "suffer" is the wrong word -- revel in it, really), for which there is no cure... thank heavens! But the medicine is delightful, especially if it involves Colin Firth's Mr. Darcy diving into a pond. Anyway, I'll shut up at last. Thanks for creating such a wonderful group! I look forward to reading several of the books discussed here.

I love PNR in all of it's forms and I can't say that I have particular favorite in type of character (vamp, shifter, mage, demon, whatever - it's all good!) but I can say that I have little to no tolerance for the TSTL characters (and that includes those occasional male versions as well as the females) or for the chic lit variety female who is into shopping, coffe shops, and social networking (I get enough of that from my daughter thank you!). I have a massive list of have read and to be read books and I've got a bunch of authors I really like and anxiously await their books (the pre-orders on my nook are ridiculous!). Some of my favs include J.R. Ward (what a surprise, huh?), Sherrilyn Kenyon, Jessica Anderson, Diana Rowland, Joss Ware, Pamela Palmer, Nalini Singh, Larrisa Ione, Jeaniene Frost, Kresley Cole, Jennifer Lyon, Sharon Ashwood, Anya Bast, Patricia Briggs and Anna Windsor (I could go on, but you get the idea...).
I'm hoping that recommendations in this group as well as the reading challenges will help me to actually get through my to be read list (ha - I'll never catch up!) as well as help me find worthy new authors. Currently I'm using the upcoming RT Reviews convention in April as a way to decide which books to put at the top of my pile. Seems like I should have read at least a few books by those authors I'm going to see in the workshops...
All that said, I'm looking forward to being an active part of the group.

When I'm not reading or daydreaming about stealing the TARDIS, I can usually be found either playing with our five cats or working on my first urban fantasy book, Little Demons. I previously released Dead Man Walking, a horror short story, in eBook format.

I also am a tv series fanatic and an obsessed Phile, thank you very much. When I'm not reading I'm watching my shows and shipping all my perfect couples. :)
Since I read a LOT, and I mean, a LOT like most of you here do, I'm happy that I found this group to discuss about books and other things too. Futhermore, I'm also happy to know that I am not the only girl here to daydream about our dark hunters and fallen angels and brotherhood fighters.
To wrap things up, I'm always open to new book suggestions, even if they are not my main stream type of reading. If you thing its good, I'll make the time to read it. Check out my page here on goodreads to see some of the books that I've read too. Oh, one last thing, I LOVE zombies. Seriously, The Walking Dead and Resident Evil are totally my other obsession. :) And nice to meet you all.

I'm Lynn, 40+ years old, and I live in Darwen, England with my husband and youngest (18 yo) daughter. My older two 'children' (22 and 20 yo) are away at University.
I am a newbie to the paranormal romance genre, and I am totally hooked on the Black Dagger Brotherhood series of books by J R Ward (have read the first three books in 4 days)! I have also read books by Sherrilyn Kenyon, Lara Adrian and Deborah Harkness.
I also like crime, romance and contemporary genres, but I love stories about vampires at the moment - even though 'Twilight' did nothing for me...
I also cross stitch, knit and run a Girl Guide Unit in my spare time, and my 'day job' is Primary School Teacher.
Pleased to meet you all!

I'm Diane from Tallahassee, FL. I love horror/suspense, but my daughter recently bought me a book on how to write the paranormal genre. Can't wait to read it. :)

My favorite genres are fantasy and sci-fi, and I read about 4-5 books a week (cheap kindle downloads make it awesome and affordable to do this) :D
I do have a paranormal fantasy book out on kindle now, with paperbacks soon to follow. It's called Fall of Kings, Book 1 in the Chronicles of Icthema trilogy. If anyone is interested in a different take on angels and demons, feel free to check it out and let me know what you think :D Reviews/likes are always appreciated :D
I look forward to getting to know more people in this forum and making some friends who share a love of the great genre that is paranormal fantasy :D

I'm Vivienne,I like the books so much. I 've read many kind of books but from only couple of years I found my genre : paranormal.
I like it and I hope tofind friends with my similar passion for this kind o books that can suggest me autors and titles...!Bye

I occasionally attempt to write, but only high fantasy (I feel urban fantasy would involve maps. I do not like maps). Other then that. Uhm.

Hi, I'm Karl, a teacher, and the husband of Goodreads author Patricia Leslie.
is a fantasy romance (historical), and totally lacking in bloodletting (except some human to human fighting). Sorry, no fangs, just romance and love between humans and beings from the "other side" (in this case, those beings sometimes called "elves.") Register to win a free copy on Goodreads, and take a free peek on Kindle ("Look Inside").
Also check out a free paranormal novella (modern) by Patricia Leslie Go to http://directory.ac5.org/TamLin
