Oh that's right I forgot about the kindle. Wishing I could read from mine right now. But I've got to get mine fixed or something. I went to use it one day and it wouldn't turn on even though the battery is fully charged :( I have a 5 yr old son and he keeps me on my toes most of the time but I still find time to read (nights mostly)lol.

That same thing happened to my kindle. To say I freaked out is a total understatement! lol
Slide the power button on and hold in place for 15 seconds and see what happens. Mine came back to life :)

Already tried that. The light came back on for just a second then it shut back off again. It would also do a download thing right in the middle of me reading. May need to bring it back to the place I bought it from.

Sylvie April, I found a customer service phone # for Amazon. 1(866)321-8851. It's an automated line, but I think if you dial 0 when the menu of options comes up, you can talk to an actual person. I had some minor trouble with my Kindle the first day out of the box, and they were very helpful.

Red Lace Reviews (redlace) Hi! I'm Catherine, from Northern Ireland and 21 years old. Just getting back into reading, as I stopped completely for a long while. I have a lot of catching up to do. :)
Just joined this site hours ago!

Anyway, take care!

Temperamental Angel | 32 comments Hi everybody
I'm Louise and i'm from Aarhus, Denmark. I'm 31 years old, single and loving it... I live with my dog, Chianti... she's an english cocker spaniel turning 2 years next month (she has her own fanpage on facebook 'Banditten Chianti' if anyone want to se her)

I loved reading as a child, but didn't have the time when I was a teenager. I started reading again about 2 years ago, and has gone through alot of books since. My favorit are the BDB series, LotU, IAD, Darkhunters, The black magician triology, The mortal instruments (and so far the infernal devices), Vampire Academy, the morganville vampires and Night huntress.

I'm starting to look up new series to read and have just got some new book delivered last week including the first couple of book in the Demonica series and the Highlander series by Karen Marie Moning.
Oh yeah and I'm dreaming of getting an E-reader because i really don't have room for all these books... I'm thinking maybe a Kindle? probably the best choice for someone living outside the states?

message 715: by Sylvie (last edited May 23, 2011 09:44PM) (new)

Sylvie You can't go wrong with the Midnight Breed series. True, it is similar to BDB in some ways, but different in a lot of others. In my opinion, the MB vamps have a lot less angst than the BDB vamps. Also, the women in the MB series are lot more visible then BDB's Shellans. They've become a force in their own right, with powers and abilities that easily rival those of the men! And the best news is that the MB series is currently 8 books strong with a ninth coming out next month and a 10th in January, so there's plenty of good reading ahead. So enjoy!

Soteria (soteri) | 7 comments Hi everyone, I'm Soteria from Central Java, Indonesia.
I fall in love with my werewolf Sam in Shifter,my vampire Bones in Halfway to the Grave and my prince faery Ash in The Iron King ^^

I'm really addicted with paranormal romance series, can't live without it :)

message 717: by Darin (new)

Darin Calhoun (darincalhoun) Hello I'm Darin Calhoun. I'm a writer and I'm currently writing a Paranormal Romance that I intend to release next year.

Writing and art have always been the driving force in my life. After a auto accident I used writing as therapy and I have been hooked ever since. With the inspiration of my wife and support of my daughter I have been able to reach a level were I can seek a writing career.

I have read Twilight, but it was the desire to know more about the PNR genre that has me reading J.R. Ward and Gena Showalter. I joined the club not only to see what is selling but what resonates with the readers.

After all, there is nothing better than to share a good book with others who feel the same way. :)

welcome! I'd recommend reading Kenyon Sherrilyn Dark-Hunter novels - that's the type of stuff I love. and I love Katie MacAlister as well, he sense of humor cracks me up. good luck on your book!!

message 721: by Natasha (new)

Natasha Hello everyone! My name is natasha, and obviously I love to read. I've developed a hopeless addiction for books with romantic plot lines, particularily those centered around magic, or mythical creatures.(I was really excited when I noticed this group)
I also love music. I play the flute, piccollo, and the piano, but I am decidedly horrid at piano because I don't practice as often as I should. I am currently finishing my last year in high school, and thats good because I usually ignore my homework so that I will have more time to read. Thank goodness thats over!
I don't really have a favorite specific type of book, excluding what I mentioned above of course. I typically read whatever happens to catch my attention. My favorite authors include: Tamora Pierce, Marrion Zimmer Breadely, Anne rice, and juliet Marillier.

message 722: by Sylvie (new)

Sylvie Hi Natasha! Congrats on finishing high school! Are there any books that were assigned reading that you are really glad you read? We read Catcher in the Rye (of course!) but also an abridged version of Les Miserables, long before the musical came out. We also read a book called The Long Walk, about a POW who escapes from a prison camp in Siberia and treks across the Gobi Desert and the Himilayas to freedom.

Marion Zimmer Bradley is one of my favorite writers. I love her Darkover books, and The Mists of Avalon is probably my all-time favorite book.

message 723: by Heather (new)

Heather | 1 comments Hi everyone, my name is Heather, and like all of you I love to read, if it has vampires, werewolves, witches, fairies or any mythical creature I love it. I am currently reading Cry Wolf by Patricia Briggs and about to start Dead Reckoning, can't wait! (Only have enough spar time to read about 30 min a day)
I am in the last year of my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree, and can't wait till I have a little more time to read all the books on my list.
Some of my favorite authors are Kim Harrison, Karen Marie Moning, Anne Rice, Patricia Briggs, Stephenie Meyers, Lynsay Sands and Charlaine Harris.
Heather

Lydia (forgettheworld) | 6 comments Hi guys! I'm Lydia and i'm 14. Please don't be put off by my age or my cringe-worthy choice of books. I live in Wiltshire, England and am currently in Y9, and have chosen my gcses. At the moment i'm doing my english gcses a year early, which means that i'm half way through my media gcse.

I enjoy any books i can really escape in, and capture my imagination. Of course i love a well-written book, but i've been known to let the plot carry me away from the bad content!
I love a good book, my cat by my side, and a good cuppa'- without any school work in the way!

Please feel free to filter through my read books, especially those marked 4 plus, you'll find some jems!

Feel free to mail me in my, current, friend-less sorry state...

Ligaya | 2 comments Hi! I've been a member of this group for a while but I don't think I've said hello to everyone. Hello everyone! LOL!
My name is Happie and based in Manila, Philippines. I basically love to read, whatever catches my eye, but I have a soft spot for romances, whether YA, contemporary, erotic or paranormal. Quite diverse. Nice to hear from you soon! =)

message 728: by Vanessa (new)

Vanessa (aurorapixi) | 187 comments Welcome Lydia, I don't think your age is a problem. Plus your cringe-worthy books are probably the same as ours if you are referring to Paranormal and urban fantasy. Cuppa' is a cup of tea right? lol hope I'm not way off on that one ^_^

message 729: by Elena (new)

Elena (summerday) | 7 comments Hi i'm Elena, a UF books fanatic. (:
I've been a goodreads for a few months now.. what can i say? I read like crazy, and love languages, cultures, traditions and legends [reason why i'm so into Urban Fantasy].
I love writing.
My favorite YA series, after HP, is Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead.
For what concerns classic books, i love Pride and Prejudice and of course i've read Dracula. (:
I am italian, by the way. Since when i was about five years old my mom took me to an English school and started buying me English books, so that's the only language i read right now.
I'd love to know books addicted like me. =]

xx
Elena

ChaosDuchess | 3 comments Hi! I'm Denise. I tend to lurk more than comment, but I'm getting better. I got introduced to romance books around 1989 and have been reading them ever since. Started off with Historical Romance and progressed to Paranormal & Erotic Romance. While I've always liked Sci Fi, I've lately started reading Urban Fantasy. I really like seeing what people read and am picking up great suggestions. I'm looking forward to meeting & talking to everyone!

message 731: by Lindsay (new)

Lindsay (lkwise) | 1 comments Hey, everyone! My name is Lindsay. I guess I should have posted this when I first signed up for this group! I'm 27 and live in GA. I have been a fan of the paranormal romance genre since I was an awkward goth teen. Feel free ri check out my lists. I've mostly just put up books that I've already read. I average about 3-4 a week, so it's gonna get really long. I'll keep updating things though! I'm always looking for new authors to read, so send me suggestions if you've got them! Thanks! I'm glad I found this site!

message 732: by Lynne (new)

Lynne Connolly (lynneconnolly) | 7 comments Having recently decided to play on Goodreads, this group looks like fun!
I love to read paranormal romance, and I write it, too. That doesn't mean I'm here to spam, but I can't separate what I do, because it's what I am.
I read a lot, and I review too, for The Good, The Bad and The Unread, and for ERWA.
I'm not so keen on young adult and on urban fantasy, I'm afraid. It just doesn't do it for me. But show me a vampire, a real honest to goodness bloodsucking unrepentant sexy hunk of a vampire, and I'm toast!

message 733: by Katie (new)

Katie (jessesgurl) | 68 comments Hi! I'm Katie and I live in council Bluffs, IA. I just discovered paranormal romance and I read quite a few pr books before I realized that I want someone to talk to about them. So here I am. I'm optimistic about what I read and there isn't much I DON'T like. I'm always open to suggestion.

PinkyB | 5 comments Hi! I'm Becky. I work as a graphic designer in publishing, which gives me access to really good YA and adult fiction. I seem to mostly be reading equal amounts of dystopian and paranormal books. I'm always on the look out for new titles and series to check out!

message 740: by Ann (new)

Ann Mayburn | 18 comments Hi Guys and Gals. :) My name is Ann and I read just about every type of Paranormal/UF romance that I can get my hands on. I love good world building and characters that are unique and interesting. Some favorites are Kim Harrison, KMM, Susan Sizemore, Kelly Armstrong, and JR Ward. I'm an author and I write to support my reading addiction, my husband likes to joke that Literacy is my pimp. ;)

message 741: by Julie (new)

Julie Hi everyone :)
My name is Julie and I'm 15 years old.
I love reading paranormal books and I love getting shucked into to the supernatural world, and forget everything around you. I live through books (don't know if that's good or bad :P)
I just love, that if you're sad or just have a bad day, you can read a book and become another person in another world that's so far from the real world (although it's kind of depressing returning to reality, after reading a good book :b)
I love to write almost everything; poems, stories, lyrics etc.
I live in Denmark, so a lot of the books I see on here is not puplished in my country which is really frustrating!

I haven't been a member for a long time, but I must say that I'm so glad I found this website, so that I can share my love for books with other bookworms like myself :)

message 745: by Christina (new)

Christina (kriska1976) | 99 comments Hello!

I'm Christina and I am on and off here. Every time the weather gets warm and I can start going to the beach (I live in Florida) I start reading again. I call it my happy place. Beach, good PNR book...I'm all set.

I'm trying to keep into it and not let work deter me from reading. I really enjoy it and it's something I never really did until a couple years ago. I don't think trashy gossip magazines count so much as reading...

I love this group and am loving the boards. You all have helped me find some great reads!

message 746: by Brett (new)

message 748: by Chris (new)

Chris Hackett | 8 comments Hi everyone! My name is Chris Hackett and I am very excited to be part of the group. I am one of the few males interested in Paranormal Romance (primarily due to the fact that I write it) but you write what you enjoy, right?

I attend Rutgers University in New Jersey (I'm an incoming senior) and got really into reading from Harry Potter (yeah, I'm pretty young I guess =P).

I hope to see you all in the discussions!
