I'm new to book groups. Will there be discussion of the selected book after a certain period of time? Or is it more a self-paced read-and-then-read-another deal?Whichever it is, I'm excited about broadening the genres I read in - Dixon
Finished! And the next book is...
It has been on the top of my 'to-read' for a long time and now seems like the perfect time to read it.
Maybe we should have another board to discuss the books we've read if we want to.
Sounds great. I'll hopefully get started soon.
I'm still waiting for Dirty to come in the mail, so I'm skipping to The Princess Bride and will go back to Dirty when it gets here, probably next week. I'm playing the catch up game.
Ok, I finished Eve and Adam. It was really good and I'm looking forward to what you guys think about it. The next one I am suggesting is Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore I've heard it's really good. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Just Finished Eve & Adam, moving on to Mr. Penumbra's 24 Hour Bookstore.
When I worked in a bookstore, we couldn't hold onto copies of The Passage for very long... they kept flying off the self. It will be interesting to finally see what all the hoopla was about.

already read it, its not one of my favorites, interesting concept but didn't like the charactersthat will wrap up the books for this group for 2012, I must say I have liked the variety that doing a book club this way gives me. Can't wait to see what books get recommended in 2013!
I have finished Divergent, so I guess it's time to add another book. The Catcher in the Rye has been on my to-read list for a long, long time. It is what I suggest we read next.

I just got Passage from the library, that's one big old book!
I tried reading Catcher in the Rye and I just can't get into it. So I'm moving on to The Cop with the Pink Pistol
I struggled a lot with Catcher in the Rye as well. For a short book, it took me a really long time to get through it.

Finished Mrs. Perigrines and Strangely Sober. I still haven't found a copy of The Con Job. Book 14.
I am having a hard time finding both of those books, but I'll keep searching.
I'll check books a million for The Con Job. Now that I think about it, Strangely Sober was a free on Kindle book so I'm not sure how published it is.

My library found a copy of The Con Job and The Lying Game this week finally.I just finished The Con Jobit was an ok read but I think I enjoyed the TV shows more than the book.
Sounds like a good read. Fingers crossed that I can find this one.
CascadeI either wasn't in the mood to read this type of book or Its just not my kind of book. I had to really make myself pick it up and then I was bored.Need to move on to another book...

Does this group have an age restriction? There were a few books I looked at but I didn't know if there were under 18 in here or not.
