Hi fellow bookworms/bibliophiles! Thank you for letting me join the group. I'm Sheila and I just joined goodreads though I've been a fan of the written word ever since I'm old enough to read. It was those Nancy Drew and Sweet Valley Twins series that hooked me from the start and I never stopped reading since then. My favorite authors are Haruki Murakami and David Sedaris. In between, I read books recommended by friends and family like Stieg Larsson's Millenium series, Charlaine Harris's Southern Vampire Series, Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series or Julia Quinn's Bridgerton series. I'm also a fan of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. The last book I read that no one recommended, but turned out to be really good was Curtis Sittenfield's Prep.
Today, I just finished Jeff Lindsay's Dexter in the Dark, thanks to demonoid.

Hi everyone! Kumusta?:) My name is Ria and I have been a member for, close to a year i think. But I hibernated... so when I got back in I was really delighted to see the group so active!!! KUDOS TO THE MODERATORS AND ALL THE MEMBERS!!!!:)

Another thing that delighted me was the fact that "Kafka on the Shore" is our Book of the Month! It was a good coincidence since Kafka is the latest book I've put down. I can identify with him a lot... minus the excessive horniness haha!!!:O)

I won't go into the books or authors I like... Lahat ok!!!:) I'm just glad to see like-minded, book-lovin', humorous people in this group.;)

Hi, a big lurker here posting again, hahaha.
I've been a member here for quite sometime, but (like I said earlier) chose to be a lurker instead. Hindi kasi ako masyado makasabay sa monthly group reading, like how I want to. And joggling my schedule among my responsibilities makes it even harder. Kagaya ngayon, 11:30PM na bago ako makapag leisure net browsing.

Kuya Doni's recent invitation poked me somehow. Natutuwa ako sa randomness ng mga post n'yo madalas (Hay, the joy of youth), lalo na when you're discussing the coming meet-up.

Di bale, promise to self, I'll make it a point to drop a comment or two every time I log in to de-lurk. Parang ayoko ma-include doon sa 90% na sinasabi ng Nonnecke & Preece 2000 research. LOL

Anyway, I'm a bit embarrassed to admit that I just recently got into reading and book blogging (5mos now)...I suppose I grew up where leasure reading wasn't concentrated. I'm glad that's changed now and so my young kids can grow up loving books. Hello! I'm Audrey from Alabang (that's where I reside now, don't ask!).

Anyway, I love reading books, they're like music, I cannot live without it. Very picky though when it comes to selections but I'm open to suggestions. There are some books I've read that I wasn't able to finish because I lost interest to it. Any genre will do, as they say "whatever tickles my fancy".

As for finding this group, honestly I didn't know this one exist, an acquaintance told me to join this group so, voila!

Oh, last but not the least, I work in a bookstore (don't shoot me!!!).

Hi... I'm She Bustamante,,22 years old. i really love reading books, that's why i'm working on a bookstore... good thing i can read any books i want to read. I love to read young Adult books,, esp. paranormal books (Vampire books, hehe) also fiction, Self help / inspirational books and business books as well. Hi there! I just joined the group. I'm Nadine, 19 years old & a food technology major. I honestly have too many favorite books to mention (don't we all? XD) but top on my list is the Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer. I'm mostly a fantasy/romance/comedy reader :D

I haven't been able to do much reading outside of my school books so I feel so deprived, even when I have various books left to be read here at home. Murakami, Mirelles and Maguire books are taunting me now XD

I am ashamed to say I haven't read much Filipino books either. I do want to read more of them. I loved figuring out what those deep words meant from the context and that actually got me interested in linguistics, especially with word etimologies. I enjoyed "Ang Mag-anak na Cruz", "Maganda Pa ang Daigdig" and "El Filibusterismo" back in HS =3

I also love writing. I only found out about this group from the Pinoy Wrimos' (from NaNoWriMo) ML, Ate Tina (hi~), actually :P Whenever it's not November, I usually write fanfiction. You can find me on FanFiction.Net as Milky Etoile, with stories under Detective Conan :P

I heard about the meet-up. I wish I'd join earlier XD
