hi i'm charry :)i've been a member here for quite awhile and i've decided to introduce myself finally!i'm a college student and soon to be licensed nutritionist-dietitian(i hope)haha i'm a wide reader and i don't have a specific genre that i read. the authors that i love are "the queen"agatha christie, stephen chbosky, and of course j.k rowling :D too bad i can't join on 21 but hopefully i can attend other activities next year! :)

Hi! I'm Ola. I like reading crime, history, and fantasy, or anything that has mystery in it. When I was a kid, I was addicted to Agatha Christie and Harry Potter. Now, I'm into Filipino writers like Gilda Cordero Fernando and F. Sionil Jose. I'm also into European History (although I haven't found a good book for this. Maybe I will need your help). I also want to try sci-fi. I sleep with my books, literally. I have heaps of them on my bed, and I can't sleep without a book under my pillow. Is that weird? Haha!

I wanted to call myself a voracious reader but I'm straggling with my stats. Though I improved tremendously, from 35 books last year, this year I have 40 books marked as "Read" in my shelf. Still that was nothing to readers who literally devour 200 to 250 books a year. I'm so jealous. :-)

Hii, I'm Chezka And I just joined a few days ago. I'm 21 years old and I reside in Chicago, Illinois. I absolutely love it when people are enthusiastic about recommending books so do please recommend me some :). I like reading any type of books, fiction or non fiction. Not much history, more of romance, sci-fi, poetry, drama, YA books, classics, etc. I'm overall pretty easy going and also pretty damn introvert so don't take offend if I dont come off as approachable. Hi guys! For the longest time, I've been the quiet lurker here. Decided it's high time to be active in this group in order to motivate me to read more.

The two books that have made the most impact in me were, for some reason, the ones I've read when I was much, much younger and just starting out in reading. These are: The Secret History by Donna Tartt and The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood. I also love The Little Prince (who doesn't?) and a re-reading of The Velveteen Rabbit never fails to make me cry.

So there you have it. I hope I do get to attend to one of your F2F meetings. And hopefully with this group, I can also meet my 2014 reading challenge :)

Hello! I'm Ivane (i'-və-nee) and I am not a dog. The clock says 4:18 am and I joined this group at this ungodly hour because I couldn't sleep so I thought I might as well get started on my reading resolution this year, which is to read Infinite Jest, and that book is difficult as sh*t (I've tried to read it a couple of times before and reached as far as page 400-something then quit, huhubells) and I need all the support and, hopefully, pressure I can get, both online and offline--para walang takas. :D And so here I am. 'Sup? XD

yes, you can always go back naman, sometimes i do that too.. in short pasasaan bat matatapos mo din yan.. haha
