Hi everyone! Actually I've been a member of this group for a few weeks, but I've been too shy to actually introduce myself. I feel emboldened today, however, because you all seem so friendly!
Hi, I'm Alexa. I'm a college freshman with a lot of hobbies. Aside from reading, I love watching movies and TV shows, listening to and playing music, eating, sleeping (lol), etc. I like reading fantasy, chick lit (guilty pleasure hehe), thriller, sci-fi, and those crime books that tell you the real cases crime shows like Law and Order are based on, but lately I've been exploring and I really like reading anything, to be quite honest. Aaaand I will forever be a fan of the oxford comma!

I'm so glad there's a community for Filipinos here! Looking forward to making friends with all of you! :D

anyway Im Dei-Dei (pwede ring Dei nalang), Ive been a member here for a couple of months back already (ayan na! lol). I just graduated from college, pero may pagka isip bata parin in short may regression issues ako haha. I like to read Gothic, Horror, Sci-Fi, Thriller, Mystery, Humor, Fiction books. right now i think Im hooked with Zombies lol (Partly due from watching too much The Walking Dead lately). i love to watch movies (especially horror movies) and listen to music. I also do Sketching and Painting as well as play the guitar in my spare time.

I also listen to audiobooks. Normally when I drive. But I like it better if I have the book then listen to its audio. Adik lang talaga. Trip lang. Mas masarap magbasa kapag parehong senses ang ginagamit ha ha.

Hm. Audiobooks don't come cheap, so pretty much all my books are CS Lewis ones - he's the author I tend to be willing to splurge on.

Hm. Postapocalyptic novels,I tend to get my fill of from comics, but I enjoyed David Brin and Richard Matheson in particular. If you haven't read it yet(madami ka nang books sa shelf, and my connection is slow haha), you may or may not find Karen Francisco's Naermyth to be a very interesting take on the matter.

BTW, I'm already a 1st year College student (Med Tech)

I am a huge fan of Greek Mythology so obviously, I'm so hooked with The Percy Jackson and The Heroes of Olympus series...


and here's some of the other books that seems to be on my taste (as of now):

The Mortal Instrument Series- I so love stories about hunting the underworlders...hahaha...and BTW, I'm more into the Simon/Isabelle relationship than Jace/Clary because for me, Simon/Isabelle were by far cuter than Jace/Clary...

The Infernal Devices Trilogy - I love the story and I'm a Will/Tessa fan...if they won't end up together, I won't read the last 2 installments...so yes, I've only read the 1st book and since I've heard that Tessa's in love w/ Jem (I don't hate Jem. In fact, I love him but I'm for Will/Tessa)on the 2nd book, I'll wait for the 3rd book and search the plot on wiki if it's going to be Will/Tessa or Jem/Tessa :p

The Hunger Games Trilogy - A gift given by my mom as a graduation present and I love it! Catching Fire was my fave followed by The Hunger Games...But to be honest, I'm not so excited about the movie version of it (to be showed next year) because of my disappointment w/ the castings but I would still watch it :)

Inheritance Cycle and The Chronicles of Narnia - about The Inheritance Cycle, I haven't read the series yet but I have watched the movie, Eragon...well, I'm so interested on it's plot and I'm looking forward on reading it.
Same goes to The Chronicles of Narnia, I have only watched its movie (that I really love!) and I hope I could have the books in the series...

the last but definitely not the least, THE HARRY POTTER SERIES!
unfortunately, I haven't read any book on this series but I really really love the movie! In fact, when I was still on my 1st grade, I have a crush on young Dan Radcliffe and Tom Felton :">
But I know one day that I could have all the books in the series ;) *whispers* I'm saving money so that I could have the Hardbound boxed-set of the HP series *whispers*
