Hehehe, thank you K.D. :) I am also looking forward to discussing books with you and learning from you. It's amazing that you've read hundreds of books! I hope to achieve that one day.

Dante: You'll get there if you read in every opportunity. I read when I am in a queue. I read in the toilet. I read before before sleeping. I read before rising from bed in the morning. I read while waiting for the movie to start (you know when they turn off the trailers and the whole movie house is lighted?). I read during lunch breaks. I read before the start of the meeting (when the boss is not around yet). I read before the start of the mass (I read the Bible or other religious books). I've seen myself reading while I'm asleep (I could see the pages and the texts in my dream). I read while I drive (audiobooks).
Yna wrote: "I love going to this bookstore in Cubao X. They sell books in half the prices. All the modern and classic ones are there. It's called Zeitgeist"Hullo Yna!
K.D.,That's amazing. I'll take that advice.
I also love to listen to audiobooks when I'm driving. I love podcasts, too. I listen to Inside the New York Times Book Review podcast a lot, and some others.

Yna wrote: "It's in Cubao Expo, the old Marikina Shoe Expo"Yes, pwede ka pa nga magpaiwan kay Sir Randy ng wishlist mo eh.
I don't know if you're that girl who bought a book of Anne Rice, and 2 o 3 books, I think.
What do you mean bumabangka?
Hi, everyone! My name is Butch. I have a habit of starting a book or books then jumping to other ones and then going back and finishing them up. I'm currently reading Michael Lewis, Sarah Vowell, Lee Child, Ilustrado, etc.
I also review books that my daughters want to read.
Thanks to my Nook Color(which allowed me to read on bed in the dark!), I'm able to wrap up books a lot faster nowadays.
My 2 daughters and I have recently made a commitment not to buy any more books (including ebooks and audiobooks) until we're done with all the books in the house.
Which all you guys have made so hard for us to stick to. I keep reading about these great books that you're talking. My to-read list is getting longer and longer. Keep it comin' though. Great reviews! Great discussions! Love it!
Thank you all!
Yna: Boyfriend not husband, hmmm. Not yet engaged to be married, I hope. Jzhun, you still have a chance! He does not read Anne Rice too so you are compatible ha haButch: I used to be like that too. Start and start. But try to put them in your currently-reading folder here in GR and don't remove the book until you're done. Maybe that will help.

Yna wrote: "I have a boyfriend LOLand no I don't read Anne Rice"
Oh, maybe that was another girl.
Oh, well.
Thanks for accepting my friend invite, though. :)
My warm regards and happy reading. ^_^

From time to time I'm just kidding and then there are some

So when you say: what i meant was pumapapel ka sa mga girls dito
K.D. wrote: "Na-imagine ko, sumisipsip si Jzhun sa mga girls. ha ha"Which brings us back to Anne Rice. So does that mean ako si Lestat? Ahahaha! :D

Hay naku, tatalunin ng Love Story ang haba ng Gone with the Wind and I will retitle it Gone in the End.
Kwento ko na lang (o hindi) sa mga susunod na Meet Up, — becuase this is not the proper forum for our love woes — at nakalimutan ko na ikaw pala ang resident Dr. Love, what with being the romantick guy. Asshuuu!
Ahahaha! :D
Bwahaha.

Better yet, write a book about it. Pwede ko ring i-title ang Bastion of the Basted: The Formidable Love Woes of jzhunagev and A Not-to Guide of Courting.
O, ha!

Pero bakit ba?
Love is an arduous and forever long quest!
Chivalry... naks!
O sige tama na, we're treading where the thread should not. :)
Hi Guys,I'm a newbie when it comes to Goodreads.com. I've just discovered this site and this group while searching for a review of Samantha Sotto's Before Ever After (haven't bought the book yet, what a surprise to find that it was written by a Filipina author!).
What a delight to find a group dedicated to Filipino book lovers :) My love for books started ever since I learned how to read, my room looks more like a library with that strange fixture of a bed in the middle. I'm the only one in my family who reads for reading's sake, the enjoyment of which is properly described as: 'the enlivening of the printed word within the inner landscape of one's imagination'. Most of my coworkers in the IT industry also doesn't seem to share this overt enjoyment of the written word. Alas, reading, for me, has become a solitary pleasure. I think it will be great if that could be transformed into something communal. Simply said, I'm excited to meet fellow pinoys who share the same passion for books :)
Growing up with Choose Your Own Adventure and Hardy Boys books, my immense curiosity has greatly expanded the genres I find delight in: Fantasy, Graphic Novels, Comics, Speculative Fiction, Sci-Fi, YA, Dystopian novels, Autobiographies, Romance, Filipiniana, Philosophy, Psychology, Comparative Religion, Spiritual, Inspirational, Financial, Political and Leadership books, Poetry and Essays. Though chick-lit seems to be my limit.
Nurturing one's reading life seems to be a worthy life-goal, but still it is a practice that is fast fading in our tech-savy world. Anyway, I'm looking forward to joining the discussions here!
Salamat and Godbless:)
