I wondered about that one - but the heroine of the book I read definitely had a family of her own, and I think the time she went back to was quite a bit earlier than medieval times :(Looks good though, might have to add it to the list ^^
Is it not Diana Gabaldon's Highlander series?
No, unfortunately - I believe it was a stand alone novel :(

What do you remember about the place/time she travelled back to?
About how old was the woman? A U.S. physicist, military or academic researcher, etc.?
Thinking back, rather than time travel that they were attempting, I believe it was teleportation - definitely academic research.Mostly it was scifi, but there was a little romance around her husband trying to get her back - focussed on the scifi side for sure, though.
The only other (random) thing I can think of is that she had a funky hairstyle - long on one side, spiky on the other. That comes up in a few places though, so no luck with it so far

I actually found the book and lost the thread! Turns out my memory might have been more murky than I thought - the book is The Earth Saver, by Catherine Wells :)

Looking for something I read about 10 years ago, but I'm guessing it's from the 80's.
It's a scifi, set in the future about a woman who's working on trying to discover time travel, along with her husband and their assistant. Something goes wrong and she ends up back in time - I believe she has some sort of arthritis-like condition, which complicates things?
It has been a while, so unfortunately I can't remember much more than that, but any help would be greatly appreciated! :)
