BubblesTheMonkey I was wondering if you ever incorporated a song with a story of a book? (or at least partially)...

-Burn It Down by Linkin Park for The Last Olympian (or entire series)

(For those that read Scott Westerfeld's Midnighter's Series) - Shooting Star by Owl City

-(strangely) Teenage Dream by Katy Perry about The Scarlet Letter

*Guess who they're about!

Agree? Disagree?

Leah I don't know...

Tracy Well, I agree partially with you about the first one.
I listened to Without You by Usher and David Guetta before the Hunger Games movie came out, and since I read the book, I found that it either contrasted completely with it, or totally went with it. If you just listen to it, you'll see what I mean. Some parts are a match, some are the opposite.

I love that song too!And I agree with you that song describe PJO pretty well

Leah I never did.

Julia I sometimes associate songs that don't have anything to do with the books with them..Like I always think of Truancy by Isamu Fukui when I hear "Too Close" by Alex Clare...I think it's just 'cause I heard that song A LOT when I was reading it..

But there are also songs that actually relate to the books I think of them with. Like, "Numb" by Linkin Park and "Radioactive" by Imagine Dragons both remind me of Truancy, too..

Also the song "They" by Jem reminds me a lot of the Lottery by Beth Goobie.

But I don't really have any songs that go with Percy Jackson or Harry Potter or some other ones :/ I guess I just can't find a song that matches the epicness :)

Rachel Liu "Elysium" for Percy Jackson's Series

Himika Chakraborty I can't think of a song for an entire book or series, but I think"You belong with me' by Taylor Swift defines Hermione's feelings during the Ron-Lavender episode.

Daniel Liu "Pompeii" to describe the whole Gaea saga and her threatening to destroy Camp Halfblood and Camp Jupiter. "Monster" by Imagine Dragons to describe Nico di' Angelo, or even Percy Jackson. "Phoenix" by Fall Out Boys to describe Chiron raising Percy. "Centuries" by Fall Out Boys in tribute of all that had died in the war. "How Could This Happen To Me" By Simple Plan to describe Percy's sorrow over his friends death and it can even be described as how Percy felt under the constant abuse of Gabe Ugliano. "Rise" By Skillet to describe the war against Kronos. "Hero" by Skillet, seems pretty obvious on that one. "Welcome to Life" by Skillet because of how it basically describes every demigods' life. "Die For You" by Starset which basically describes Percy's fatal flaw, loyalty. "Best Day of My Life" basically after the war against Kronos.
