Georgetta Booker | 5 comments It is important to know our audience before, after, and during, a presentation. If you know your audience before the presentation then you are able to prepare to phrase things in a way that would make the most sense to them. You are also able to anticipate what your audience will say or ask and can think of responses in advance. If you know your audience during the presentation then you can adapt to them and their shifting moods and thoughts. If you don't know them while your speaking then you will be oblivious to their reactions and could very well go off the deep end because you continued talking about something that they viewed as wrong. If you don't know your audience after the presentation then you are not able to analyze how you did and you will not be able to improve at a reasonable pace.
