Kandice I think I must be weird. I really enjoyed Exit A, but it doesn't look as if anyone else did! I found it incredibly romantic. Not in a sappy way, but in a real way. Whatever...

message 52: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Okay, too weird. The last two books were 304 pages!

I feel pretty good. I am only 8 books behind Becky. Yay!!!

Ha ha! I wish! What I'd really like to be is a Volvo! How mundane a dream can you have? But, they ARE very, very safe!

message 56: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Okay, so I seem to be pretty much on track. Well, a little behind...but I am breezing through The Loop, and the next two in line are not so long, so I should be okay.

message 57: by Becky (new)

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) I'm very behind schedule now. I'll have to pick up the pace some!

message 58: by Kandice (new)

Kandice No way!!!! You are already so ahead of me. My ONLY shot at catching up, is, basically, you falling behind!!!! *infinite<3*

I'm so glad we're reading it :) very good so far.

message 60: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Me too:) Don't let Jeane see that or she'll tease us more.

message 61: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments hihi. No, I will jsut feel so very happy that you like so much my favourite book. That is actually an understatement. It isn't ony my favourite book. I think it is the fiction book that touched me the most and deepest.

message 62: by Becky (new)

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) But, but... I feel like I am sooo slacking! I feel like I have just wasted the last 2 weeks and haven't read anything!

Whatever, Miss Billion Book Becky!

message 64: by Becky (new)

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) Thank you for your sympathy. =\

message 65: by Kandice (new)

Kandice No prob'.

message 66: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I can NOT, for the life of me, see how Jeane got through this book. I am a whimpering bag of sadness. I can't imagine her state of mind at the end:(

message 67: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Just started Solaris which is my favorite style of book, so should be quick.

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) Kandice wrote: "Just started Solaris which is my favorite style of book, so should be quick."

YAY! :D

message 69: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Okay, 40 books and we are already more than a 1/3 of the way through the year. I need to hurry up...come on May 28th!!!

message 70: by Becky (new)

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) What did you think of solaris???

message 71: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I'm composing a review. I am trying to make you proud, (and Jon) so I really need to think. I have a yellow legal pad, but I keep crossing things out. By tommorrow I pronise. (maybe tonight)

message 72: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) oooo yay Kandice! I always wish you wrote more reviews, you have such a nice way of seeing things. All we want is your opinion...so you should try writing more of them! :D

message 73: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) I feel bad now...I just kinda crap out reviews right when I finish books, and put little to no thought into them. :\

message 74: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I usually do too. They also end up about 2 sentences long. Becky and Jon write them as if they were getting paid, so I was trying to do them proud. I kind of suck, though.

I think I am the only person at work that uses yellow legal pads. There are 2 cases in the supply closet that I am taking my last day, as I am the only person that ever requested them!

message 75: by Becky (new)

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) You don't have to go out of your way to do me proud K, just write what you thought of the book and I will be happy! (That's all I do.)

message 76: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Yes, but YOU do so eloquently, and my attempts always come across as terse and uneducated. I am almost finished! I'll post it when I get home tonight. I'm off in about 40 minutes.

message 77: by Kandice (last edited May 15, 2009 07:16AM) (new)

Kandice I'm right on track now, and should have no problems reaching my 100.

Now, I have to resist the urge to up my goal;)

message 78: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I added a The Castle in the Forest A Novel even though I finished it almost a month ago. I had forgotten to add it. I am a shoe-in for my goal:)

message 79: by Becky (new)

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) You're catching up!! No fair!

message 80: by Becky (new)

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) ;)

message 81: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Yes fair! You are a reading wiz, and I need every inch of catch up I can get. Besides, I thought we were running together, not against:)

message 82: by Becky (new)

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) Well... Yes. But you're going to pass me when you're not working!

message 83: by Kandice (new)

Kandice But then I'll start sewing again and you'll pass ME!!! I know that's how it will go.

As long as you are around for me to argue, discuss, diagree, agree with and borrow from, I don't really care who's ahead.

message 84: by Becky (new)

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) Me either.

...As long as I'm ahead. ;) Just kidding!

message 85: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Ha ha!!!

(you don't fool me! I know you wanna win)
*runs away giggling*

LOL!

message 87: by Kandice (new)

Kandice YOU can't race, Allison. I feel like a turtle next to you!

message 88: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) lol! Well I probably have more time on my hands...no kids and all. I think you read pretty fast, you go through a ton of books!

message 89: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Allsion...just wanted to remind you...all that gooshy friend stuff:)

message 90: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) gooshy friend stuff right back! :)

message 91: by Becky (new)

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) I don't have kids either, but I don't read nearly as fast as you do, Alli-san!

message 92: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Becky wrote: "I don't have kids either, but I don't read nearly as fast as you do, Alli-san!"

Gooshy stuff, too...

message 93: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) yeah well, I don't have a life. LOL. Maybe thats not true...but half the time I really do choose to stay home and read over going out with friends. It makes Danny CRAZY!

message 94: by Kandice (new)

Kandice Before I had children, I would be happy to spend all of my off day on a chair with a diet Coke and a book. (or two or three...) Just wait 'til they grow up...

message 95: by Becky (new)

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) Alli-san, I am the same way. I do believe that that is why you befriended me, isn't it? Because I said I was a hermit? LOL

message 96: by Allison (new)

Allison (inconceivably) Becky wrote: "Alli-san, I am the same way. I do believe that that is why you befriended me, isn't it? Because I said I was a hermit? LOL"

pretty much.

we really need to live close together...we could read together and my husband couldn't accuse me of eschewing humanity ;)

message 97: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I wish I had a transporter. Wouldn't it be heaven to just be in the same room reading? I have 5 recliners in my living room. We could all be comfy and I could make us cookies:)

message 98: by Becky (new)

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) I wish I had a recliner! *drool*

message 99: by Kandice (new)

Kandice I didn't want them. I totally admit to wanting pretty furniture, but Vinny talked me into a recliner for him, a loveseat with TWO recliners and a couch with TWO recliners. They are actually attractive, (Chocolate leather sides and trim and cream suede seats)and sooooooo comfy!!!!!

message 100: by Becky (new)

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) Nice. I actually have no living room furniture except for two papasan chairs, which I loathe. They seemed like a good idea at the time, but I hate them now. But that's besides the point, as we are never in there anyway. But If I had a recliner, I would be in heaven!! A nice recliner, the laptop and a book would be just heavenly. :)
