I was totally having the same thoughts with the "seeing things" the book seemed to be pointing us in that direction for a bit, I just kept telling myself she is so young surely its not like her dad.

All these secrets both Daemon and Katy are keeping WILL come back and bite them on the ass I am 100% sure of it!!! It is different when its all intrigue etc and noone knows who to trust but there is no reason they should keep all this stuff from Dee and even Mathew. 80% (view spoiler)[Well, their escape actually worked. Daemon, Katy, and Archer all escaped. They meet up in a small town outside of Area 51 and Luc and Paris show up. They take them to a Luxen community hidden in Las Vegas. Supposedly it is unknown to Daedalus.

And then Daemon and Katy get married. In a Vegas chapel. It was actually beautiful.

The shocker though is that Matthew called Daedalus and betrayed them. I wasn't expecting that. Though his heavy drinking in previous books had me curious. (hide spoiler)]

Haha, I didn't read the blurb either. I knew that it was about aliens but I hadn't reread the blurb before starting to read it.

Finished (view spoiler)[Holy crap!! So Daedalus is closing in on them in Vegas so they decide to out themselves to the humans. They do and a battle breaks out. Paris, Ash, and Andrew all die! Seriously, I was not expecting that at all!

The rest of them go to Idaho to one of Luc's secret houses. Right after they get there Luxen start dropping into the atmosphere like hundreds of falling stars. It does something to Daemon, Dawson, and Dee and makes Luc and Archer feel strange. They go outside and there are hundreds of Luxen in their true forms standing outside the house. And then Daemon, Dawson, and Dee kind of space out and then they go with them and leave. Creepy! (hide spoiler)]

Nancy captures Daemon, Katy, and Archer and takes them back to a military base. But lo and behold who is there when they get there? Luc. And Dawson and Beth are there as well. I've always liked Luc. I am excited to read The Darkest Star when I am finished with this series. (hide spoiler)]

76% (view spoiler)[The encounter with Lotho was strange. Scary too. He either has some bolts loose or is just a psycho. I can't believe that he kissed Katy. He sure seemed to have an attraction to Katy for someone that doesn't like Luxen or hybrids. But at least the Arum are going to help.

The fight with Dee was sad. I am glad that Katy was able to get through to her by talking to her instead of just kicking her ass. (hide spoiler)]
