Katie (katayla) | 5 comments So this was a book series I read in the 90's, though they may not have been published in the 90's. There were 5 or 6 of them and the covers were green. The author's last name is in the back half of the alphabet (based on where they were on the library shelves). They were about a group of kids. One of them was paralyzed, but drove a car that was all set up with hand controls and stuff. (I think the other kids were slightly younger than him, not driving age.) The other kids MAY have been brothers and sisters and I think they had just moved to the area. I think the area was wooded. They may have been mysteries and they may have had a Christian theme.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) | 38 comments The covers aren't green but is it possible that this series was it? I vaguely remember these books being in our public library in the 90's and I remember that I just picked it up randomly but it was a Christian themed series, one of the only ones that I recall being in the library around that time period.

Katie (katayla) | 5 comments Thanks, but, no, not those. They were less "modern" than that series, if that makes sense. I'm not sure if they were actually set at the same time, but they sort of had a similar vibe to the Trixie Belden books.

Abigail (handmaiden) | 391 comments Could you be thinking of the Ginger series, by Elaine L. Schulte? One of the books, Go For It, has a paralyzed character--the entry on WorldCat had this summary: "Apprehensive about going with Grandfather Gabriel to stay with stepcousins in Yosemite, Ginger finds them all friendly and welcoming except for fifteen-year-old Todd who is paralyzed and confined to a wheelchair."

And most of the covers have a lot of green: http://www.google.com/search?q=%22ela...

Katie (katayla) | 5 comments Thanks, but no. That one seems aimed a little younger than I was thinking of.

Pearl Taylor | 3 comments Could it be "The 3-Investigators" series. Although not in a wheelchair one of the main characters wears a leg brace. I read most of these books when I was growing up and really enjoyed them.

M— | 379 comments Possibly the Bill Myers series that starts with The Portal?

Christian YA fiction with fantasy kick. At least one personal was sensitive about mobility due to physical disability, but my detailed memories are pretty fuzzy -- I haven't read it since the mid 90s.

Katie (katayla) | 5 comments Pearltaylor - I keep looking at The 3-Investigators series, but I don't think it's right. There were girls in the group.

M-- No, this wasn't fantasy.

Thanks for the suggestions!
