9:37pm still reading Eldest, such a long book!
It broke my heart, but yes, I believe I did the right thing.

3:50 PM I haven't been on Goodreads all weekend because I've been camping. So I'm just relaxing now since everything is packed away in the garage once again. Hope everyone has a great Memorial Day. :)

Very sorry to hear that Cindy, that's scary, I have a friend who's son committed suicide about a month ago, very sad, you did the right thing however and I support you 100%. Hope everything turns out okay.

Thank you for all the kind words everyone. I always try to remember that somebody has it worse than me. It really helps to think about others when a lot of crap like this is going on.

About to head in to town with the OH and my almost two year old to get a few bits, and then coming back home to finish Eragon :)

7:24AM Again another busy day for us today as well. I just feel like all I have done this month is run run run! I am hoping that June will be a little slower for us!
Cindy so sorry to hear about your grandson, but you did the right thing even if it is hard to so. Sometimes we have to do those things that hurt us. Keeping you and the grandson in my prayers.

Jordan, sounds like you feel better, that's awesome!
6:06 p.m. EDT Today was chemo treatment #6. The original treatment order was for 12 sessions, so I'm halfway there. However, there is (of course) always a chance I'll need more. It's about time for another set of scans, so I guess it will depend upon what we see there. I asked the doctor today about the tumors in my pelvis and what to think about the three 7 cm "cyst-like formations" that are there now; she says they probably are the tumors. No way to tell if they had grown or shrunk since they aren't mentioned in any other scans and the surgeon didn't note their size, just that they were there. I am off the Lovenox, thank goodness (those stomach shots hurt), but it sounds like I'll have to be on Coumadin indefinitely. *sigh* Anyway... After I was hooked up to the home infusion unit, we went to Outback for a late lunch. I had a ribeye, yummy! However my mouth is SO sensitive, I couldn't even use horseradish on it like I like to do, and even the pepper on the steak was uncomfortable for me. Still, I finished the whole thing, much to the mutual surprise of me and my husband (that happens about one time out of 10; the rest of the time I have to bring home leftovers to eat later). I was really sleepy on the way home, but once I was here I was awake again, so I guess I'll read once I'm through e-mail. Hubby is sleeping. How is it men can sleep so easily?? I have two new Amazon Vine books to read and review this month, and a friend gifted me a few books and some Magnesium, which arrived today, so lots of books in the mail today! wOOt! Hope everyone is doing well and will have a wonderful week!
6:56 p.m. and I'm just simply trying not to lose my mind right now :(

Thank you. I firmly believe that I could not have made it through all the crap that has happened this year were it not for my GR's friends. I don't socialize much around here because of the neighborhood. Only have one friend that I haven't met online. You guys ARE part of my family.

8:31 pm
Just been spending a nice quiet evening reading and doing a few things on GR.

9:05AM Another gorgeous day here in Texas. Kay has only this week and part of next week left in school. I cant believe how fast the time is going. Gonna read today I hope after I get the vacuuming done. My desktop petered out UGH. Go figure. Will have hub look at it when he comes home.

Playing nursemaid day#5 for youngest who had wisdom teeth pulled Friday
She's having a rough time and I'm exhausted but we've finally turned a corner
Trying to catch cat naps
11:28PM Today was a bit slower and I actually read over 100 pages. Yay! I played Diablo a little bit with Aeverie this evening because he really likes the game and wanted to play. So I got to read another 20 pages once we finished with that. he is now sleeping so I will try and read some more before bed. Good Night GR!

Cindy, thinking of you *hugs*
Terri, hope you're hanging in there.
2:20 a.m. EDT Didn't log in at all yesterday; spent most of the day sleeping, actually. I'm a bit dehydrated now, so slamming Gatorade. Supposed to have a telephone interview today re: my SSI; actually, I was supposed to go in, but I called a few weeks back and asked if they'd change it to a phone interview. I hope no one screwed up; I'd hate to lose my SSI and Medicaid because someone over there screwed up! Anyway, then I have to go to the hospital to have my infusion pump removed and am done with chemo for this week. My mouth and tongue are already sore from the CPT-11.

Cindy, I really feel for you. You ABSOLUTELY did the right thing. The problems with my son started exactly in this way. If you need to talk, please IM me.
Chris, where are you? I miss your posts just as Katy does.
Katy, I'm glad you post updates as often as you do. Hope your mouth improves soon.
Kathryn, kisses for Gizmo!
3:07am EDT. Couldn't sleep, I've been up since 1:30. I don't feel bad, I just can't relax enough to sleep. Of course, when I try to settle down is the time the grief hits me all over again. I keep telling myself it's a process, you just need more time. I've been trying to keep busy during the days. I'm spending a lot of time in the kitchen, making bread and things like that. I've been walking Charlie every day, and sometimes 2 or 3 times a day. Well, off to make some coffee. Hope everyone has a great day!

9:12AM Just got up from a little nap. I was up late last night and was dragging this morning. Plan to pretty much read all day today or so I hope. I would like to finish this by tomorrow so I can do my series review! Looking forward to Code Zero, well once I get it. We may be going out this evening, but I am not sure on that.

3:41PM Have been enjoying a beautiful afternoon with Joe! HAHA! I will definitely be able to finish this book by tomorrow. It is hard to put down! Plan on going out to a Chinese buffet tonight, one of our favorite places.

7:10 p.m. and I getting ready to take a shower and read for a few hours. Wasn't online yesterday because it was a big mess. Forgetting about that and just focusing on today. Just want to relax and read tonight. A nice, hot, long shower wouldn't hurt either.

10:56 p.m. That bites Dan. I have arthritis in my hips and lower spine and it don't feel too good. Especially when it rains and/or gets cold.
10:41PM Had a nice dinner out and then later went and got a java chiller with my sweet family. Kind of a spur of the moment thing. Now I am gonna read for the rest of the night till I get sleepy!

I went to a local bookstore last night, called The Book Outlet. It was a success! I came home with 8 books (both paperback and hardcover) for only $25. and I got some good ones!!
Heres a list of the ones on my TBR list:
Night Shift

The Gunslinger

The Pillars of the Earth

Murder on the Orient Express

Desperation

A Time to Kill

These were ones I've picked up that I've read before and LOVED so I needed to own! ;-)
The Night Circus

Sarah's Key

9:15AM going to try and get through Extinction Machine today. I was up late again reading because I could not put it down. So much going on to the ones I love the best in the series. I have less than 2oo pages to read and then I have to wait till I get Code Zero.....wahhhhh!
It's 10:51am on a gorgeous spring morning. Charlie and I have had our first walk of the day. (We've been walking 2-3x/day for about 20 minutes at a stretch. I'm slowly building my tolerance up.) I'm enjoying a yummie smoothie--frozen banana, fresh blueberries and raspberries, and some almond milk. My reading seems to be back on track. I've been reading some really good books, it's really been helping me cope. Happy Friday to all my GR friends!
Terri good to see you out and about! I love taking walks. I might have to take one this evening we will see. I also love smoothies and almond milk! Hope you continue to have a beautiful day!

Terri, that smoothie sounds really tasty! I love smoothies, but I have to leave out the banana 'cause it's a migraine trigger for me. Weird.
5:36 p.m. EDT Hearing some ominous thunder right now. Might have a thunderstorm tonight! This morning I went in to see my palliative care nurse and pick up prescription refills. Fortunately I checked before we left the parking lot; she had messed up my meds, given me the wrong stuff. So had to wait almost another hour to fix all that. Then we went to IHOP for a late breakfast. Hubby had to go to work this evening. Yesterday I picked up some really interesting "enhanced" water from Earthfare. I drink one last night that had elderflower, and one today that had hibiscus and honeydew. I have a lavender/mint left, and a few energy drinks. I also found a toothpaste with no mint! The mint in toothpaste was causing me a lot of pain, so I'd been looking for a toothpaste without, and not only did I find one, but it has calendula in it, so it soothes things as well. I'll be reading this evening; I do need to watch the final episode of Agents of SHIELD Season one soon... But first I have lots of books I want to read...

Just finished another book :) My 31st this year. It was the second in the Myron Bolitar set by Harlan Coben, called Seconds Away. I just popped on to update all my challenges etc, and then heading to bed.
Tomorrow is a sad day for me and many of my friends, as it marks the 1year anniversary of the death of one of our friends. He was only just 18, and was one of the zaniest people I knew. His nickname was Garfield, cuz he'd live of lasagne if his parents would have let him, and not a day goes by when I don't think of him. He used to go through town in rollerblades and a dinosaur onesie, so naturally, I've bought my almost 2 year old a dinosaur onesie in memory of him, which he shall wear tomorrow for his service. Books will be my saviour after that service, I'll be starting Eldest
