9:10PM Kids are asleep and my wife is at book club. I should be reading but I'm working on my blog and watching Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the ring, and playing around on iTunes. I'm enjoying being off tonight. I worked my new job today but I happen to have the night off since my wife is at book club. Someone has to watch the kiddos. It was great to spend some time with them before bed.

Kathryn, I'm so glad you are feeling better. I had no idea you were so sick.

Corey, I love that movie. I watch it every few years though. It keep sit funny I think. Same thing with Stripes, and Planes, Trains, and Automobiles.

8:20AM I thought that I would be extremely tired this AM but I am not. So I am guessing I will get some good reading time in. I had 2 cups of honey tea this AM to soothe the throat some more. 6:13 PM. Well, MARK GOT A NEW JOB today!!!! He is being promoted to a director at a different facility, but the same company/hospital. He's been interviewing for this for three months! So, so, so proud of my husband, and it makes this horribly sick week so worth it and all of the stress we've had over this for the last three months!!!! We will have to move, but it is closer to family, and basically just on the other side of DFW from where we are now. This puts us a HUGE STEP closer to our goals on where we wanted to eventually move, so this is extra exciting! Sorry to brag, but I just wanted to share with all of my friends here! I haven't said anything about this before because we didn't know the likelihood of him getting the job, and he really wanted this promotion. :) YAY!!! Now, just comes the move! WOOHOO!

Shell, congratulations on your weight loss! That's really an accomplishment! I lost 50 pounds when I turned 40 so I know how hard it is. (Unfortunately, the weight has creeped back up (I'm 60 now) and it's a bummer because I can't really exercise because of physical problems. Looking forward to better weather when I can at least walk.)

11:58 PM. What a day. Thank you everyone for the congrats!! We are excited and stressed, as things like this typically are full of emotion. Lol. Chuck, we will be moving to SW Fort Worth. My family lives there. Mark was happy and wanted to celebrate a bit tonight, so we ordered pizza. I'm thinking that wasn't too hot of an idea for my tummy. Still not over the queasy feeling, but I just wanted to see him happy. :) Gizmo girl is curled up on me while I'm laying in bed. She has been super lovey this week. She probably knows I haven't felt well all week. Terri, I'm sure you understand what I mean, since you have Charlie! Think I will read until my gears in my brain slow down.

Okay, so, I originally thought I would save this for another day and time, but, I just need to get this off of my chest. Plus, most of you know my grandmother hasn't been doing very well lately. When I called to tell my grandpa the news about Mark's new job, he said my grandma is basically bedridden now, and is barely speaking. He started to choke up on the phone, but I tried to comfort him the best I could. I think he appreciated it. I have a feeling my only Grandma isn't going to be around much longer, and even told Mark, I feel like it's going to be very soon. My dad says it's women's intuition, because I get these feelings, and usually I'm right. I just hope when she passes, it's peaceful. She deserves that.

7:31AM Good Morning my GR friends. Another pretty peaceful morning for me. Sposed to be super nice out again today. Today we are going with Amy so she can get herself a car FINALLY! She has been without for a couple of years. Enjoying some coffee and will read for a bit this AM. I have a couple of videos to record also this AM.

Kathryn, my heart is with you. I am so sorry to hear about your grandma. It is always so sad to watch them wither away from the people we knew and loved best. And we only really hope that they are not suffering. If you need anything at all, let me know. Hugs to you!

6:44PM Working tonight. My wife and I don't usually celebrate Valentine's Day. I feel it is a bit of a rip off. Why is it only one day we should show the person we care about how much we care. If this is the case then every day should be Valentine's Day and that is how I try to make it.

I did get my son a card and a little heart shaped box of chocolates to give to my wife. She was so happy becuase Conner learned to write his name a few days ago and he "Signed" the card with his own name. I got a card for my wife and I picked up Pizza, salad, and Toasted Ravioli (St. Louis thing) from our favorite Italian place for an early dinner. I get off of work from my new job at 3:30 and then have to be at the old job by 5. Not much time to spend with everyone, but I was a little late to job #2 so I could at least enjoy an early dinner.

Kathryn I am so sorry to hear about your Grandma, I'm hear if you need to talk. It has been just over a year since my Grandma passed so I still remember all of that.

8:37PM YAY Amy got a new car!!! She is very excited. She ended up with a 2010 Ford Escape. After 2 years she deserved one. It was 2 years ago she was side swiped by a Semi in her old car. Thankfully she was unhurt but her car was not. So she has waited patiently all this time to get something. So we had a good experience with that today. So now I am enjoying some coffee while I edit one of my 3 Book Shelf tour videos. LOL I hope everyone had a nice Valentine's Day.

10:29am EST. Finally feeling decent after my recent bout. Saw the doc yesterday and he restored my pain meds (YAY). I've had a busy morning. Doing laundry, making chicken stock, processed all my meat and veg from shopping yesterday so it's all ready to go. Charlie's out playing in the snow. Larry has to shovel and then go to the library for me--9 new books waiting, so I'll be all set! Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Kathryn, I'm so sorry to hear about your Grandmother. There is just such a special relationship between grandparents and grandkids. It can't be replaced and I know you're grieving. Remember her for the good times. I think of my grandmother every day, and as I get older I try my best to be like her.
