The Land Before Time was one of my favourite movies when I was little, I still remember going to see it at the movies with my Dad, I must have been about 5 years old. I had the hand puppet of Ducky that I got free with a Pizza Hut meal lol!

I'm in a bit of a reading funk right now and just can't seem to get motivated to read much. I'm loving the new season of Sherlock which just started this past Sunday here in the States. Can't wait for the next episode.

I've never made it before, so, I hope it's good. Lol. I had a great workout, and because I procrastinated on it for so long, I realize I ate up some reading time. After we eat, I need to clean my sweaty self up. Sorry...tmi! But I am really looking forward to reading soon. Today has been a bit stressful for Mark, well, this week has so far, so I am eagerly awaiting the weekend.

I'm in Season 6 of Buffy and Season 3 of Angel. I've watched Buffy several times, but most of the Angel eps just once, so am enjoying becoming reacquainted. And I hate Holtz with a fiery passion for what he does to poor Angel (and Connor). Lorne is my favorite character; were you aware the actor who played him died in 2009? I only just learned last week and was so sad... :-(

9:48 p.m. EST Had a restless day sleeping, but am up now so I suppose I'll do some editing once I finish with my e-mail.

No Chuck I have not. That is another looooong read and I'm afraid I would start it, get board and then have to finish it anyway. Did it have a lot of long drawn out places. It's sounds really gritty, which I like.

10:41AM Randy brought me some breakfast this AM and a Mocha freeze. YUM! So what a great way to start the day. he was not feeling well this AM and stayed home. He thinks it is Sinus related, not a big surprise there it has been killing him all week. So now before we go out I plan to read and maybe do a book vlog we will see.

HAHA Susan I love Ducky! yup yup yup! It was sad when I heard the news that ducky's voice star was shot and killed by her own father! How sad.

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 11:10 AM. It is quite chilly outside!! It makes me just want to curl up in bed with Gizmo, Pepper, and a warm blanket. I plan to read some today, but I think first I'm going to finish folding clothes, put them away, and start the dishwasher.

Janie, this weather is messing with my sinuses, too. The last few mornings I've woken up feeling sick, but then as the day goes on, I feel okay. I wish the weather would make up its mind. LOL It's given me a slight headache every day since the weekend, as well. Argh.

It was fantastic! At first it gave me quite a bit of trouble, but the more I read it the more I enjoyed it. I'm finding the same issue with foreign authors: native English speakers sometimes don't know how to pronounce the names and places in the book. When you get over that hurtle it's all good. In THE BROTHERS KARAMAZOV it's a little more difficult than that because the same character might have a few different Russian nicknames, and that goes for several of the characters. It can be quite confusing at first. It wasn't even what I was expecting, but I liked it a lot. I'm glad to have read it.

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 10:12 PM. Tonight I made vegetable beef soup and grilled cheeses for dinner. It was yummy for a super cold night. I had a great workout earlier, and while I was exercising, Mark came home. Some coffee and reading sounds good. I am so glad tomorrow is Friday because it has been a bit of a stressful week for us. I think Mark is going to bed now, but I think I am going to try to stay up for a bit and read.

Shell (shellcampbell) | 757 comments It must be a soup kind of day! Last night we had kaeng jeut wun sen which is a simple Thai soup made with the pork broth I made the other day, noodles, pork balls and a mix of Asian greens - sooo yummy, we ate it every day when we were in Thailand! Tonight, to use up the rest of the broth we are having khao tom (Thai rice soup) which is kind of similar but it has rice instead of noodles and an egg in it. I love soup and Thai soup is so refreshing and energising in the hot weather.

Kathryn your veggie beef soup sounds so yum. My mum always used to do grilled cheese with our soup when we were kids. It's such great comfort food :)

Don't feel bad. You wouldn't believe how much chocolate I routinely put away. Two giant Hershey bars is just a start. Those things are getting expensive too. That's what I feel bad about.

message 9289: by Angie (new)

Angie | 76 comments I love making different kinds of soup as well. I've got some really good noddle soup recipes and this week I made an Italian one that was so easy to make. It was just panchetta, diced onion, chicken stock, tomatoes and parmesan cheese and fresh basil. And I had crusty bread with it that I made as well. Very yummy! It tastes better if you make it the day before just leaving out the cheese until you are eating it.

Its 2.45 here and I've got to go out in half an hour but I really don't want to. Its cold and raining:(

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 10:50 AM. Good morning, GR! I think Janie and I stayed up WAY too late last night. I didn't get into bed until 1:30 AM. I was working on writing all of my books down and putting them into my notebook I carry around with all of my books because I've neglected to do that. It helps me to not double-buy something and waste time and money. Anyways, between reading, making a few videos, dishes, and trying to finish what I started last night, it should be a bit of a busy day for me. I'm so glad it is Friday! Happy Friday, everyone! :)

I love soup and it's pretty much all I can eat at the moment, my jaw hurts really badly :( I have made a sausage casserole in the slow cooker for later though and it has lots of mushy veg in it so should be okay for me to eat! It smells gorgeous, yum, yum.

I'm off to continue reading Clash of Kings before I have to sort the dinner out,I want to finish it this weekend, I have just over 200 pages to go, so could be achievable, then I plan to make a dent in Les Miserables next week!

✨Susan✨ (suswelch) | 904 comments Happy Friday all! I had a productive day and now all of the tax stuff is ready. My files are clean and I took care of all but one of those paperwork tasks I put off.
Cooking a Sticky Chicken for dinner, " not really sticky", just the name of it. Special seasonings and cook for 5 hrs. Taste like a rotisserie chicken from the store. Yumma! My son finally got his Camero back today after an accident (not his fault) Nov 20th. Crazy... Fighting with an insurance company that no one has ever heard of and trying to be made whole again is an act of never ending fruition. It is scary that people can have insurance like that. Oh, I could go on... Needless to say...
Letters are being composed to all the powers that be.

Stay warm Holly. Hope your day goes fast.

Michelle: that soup sounds amazing, I wish I was brave, but Asian cooking is intimidating for me. I will look up that soup though, it sounds dreamy.

Janie, I am sooo happy for you all. Wonderful!! In NV my sis was one mile one way and Mom and Dad 1 mile the other. Family dinners A Lot and practically everyday interaction. Boy do I miss that. You are a very lucky gal. It takes a village to help to raise great kids. :))). Homemade noodles...mm maybe, Kathryn and all will have to have a pasta party. I would love to learn. I have often thought of getting a pasta press. Mmmm

Kathryn sounds like you had a productive spell as well. Hope all the allergy stuff is frozen. Everything else is. Lol

Hope all have a great weekend!.......

That is so fab that you're going to have them so close now Janie! My mum lives 3/3.5 hours away and my brother used to live 2 hrs away but now only lives 20 minutes away - I sooooo appreciate having him close to me now. Funny, when we were kids and fought like cats and dogs I never thought I'd miss him or enjoy his company lol!
