What books have you bought lately?
I did not care for Hearts in Atlantis Corey, but it has been a long time, maybe I was just not in the mood for it when I read it. I will revisit one of these days and see for myself.

Went back out to my Local Bookstore and bought

I actually purchase more than I post. Got some really great deals and a few newer books.

Yeah I hear it's great. Didn't they do like a miniseries or something based on the book?
Tonya wrote: "They did, but it did not compare to the book."Yeah that's what I heard, the book is probably better.
Corey wrote: "Alondra I use to read the Goosebumps books all the time when I was a kid. Loved em! ..."...they are fun, little reads. i use them as "fillers" for when books start getting too serious, or if i hit a reading "bump" :D
Tonya wrote: "Alondra - I have [book:A Farewell to Arms in my to read pile. Sounds like a good one! .."I like Hemingway. Maybe, not as much as Steinbeck, but like his writing. Hoping to read a few more classics this year :)
Yay Alondra you got Revival! This buddy read is gonna be so fun. So you wanna read Revival right at the 1st of Feb?
Janie wrote: "Yay Alondra you got Revival! This buddy read is gonna be so fun. So you wanna read Revival right at the 1st of Feb?"yeah, that sounds perfect. I should be halfway through Reamde by then.
So yesterday I bought Prodigy, the 2nd book in the legend series, because I am part of a read along for the series. And I also bought Through the Zombie Glass. I have it on my kindle and it was a great sequel so I wanted it in physical form. Still need to get Queen of the Zombie Hearts and read that.
Went out today and bought
, last copy on the shelf! Now I officially have the whole Odd Thomas series, YAY!
Yay Corey. I pretty much stopped reading them because I did not like the direction it was going. Maybe I will pick up #4 eventually, we will see. I really liked Odd's character a lot.
Amulet, Vol. 1: The StonekeeperAmulet, Vol. 2: The Stonekeeper's Curse
Amulet, Vol. 3: The Cloud Searchers
and Amulet, Vol. 4: The Last Council

--the first one was pretty good, but felt incomplete.
My mom and I were talking about how you tend to buy more ebooks then regular books because their cheeper and of the convince of having them right there.
Any thoughts on the Percy Jackson series? I was thinking about ordering the box set but I'm wondering if the books are appropriate for my age (22). Because they are children's/YA books? i don't know exactly but i'm hoping some of you do.
Sanne I read middle grade books all the time and I am MUCH MUCH older than you. LOL I don't think there is anything wrong with that. I actually just read The first book in the Percy Jackson series, The Lightning Thief and I really enjoyed it. I plan to read through the entire series one book a month.
Corey, I have not been to the good will for such a long time. I fell a need to go and see what they got. Maybe later this month I will get there. :::fingers crossed:::
Haha okay thank you Janie! I read them too (like the harry potter series which is one of my favorites) but I was just wondering if it was maybe too childish and therefore not enjoyable to read for my age. Sometimes I'm at a lack of words for what I mean for english is not my native language but you understood what I ment though so that's good haha. Will be purchasing the books than.
I think that if we enjoy the books then we read anything ad really who cares what level they are. LOL Let me know what you think about Percy Jackson.
I bought a few books from bookoutlet. The Winner's Curse, Alias Hook, On Dublin Street, Rot and Ruin, and The Knife of Never Letting Go.
At Barnes and Noble I picked up The Maze Runner, and Throne of Glass.
Then at my local used bookstore I picked up The Scorch Trials, The Death Cure, Can You Keep a Secret?, Wolf Brother, and King and Maxwell.
I made a quick trip to Barnes and Noble and picked up:The 5th Wave which was an autographed copy, and Crown of Midnight.
I also stopped by my local used bookstore and picked up:
The Undomestic Goddess, Remember Me?, Guilty Wives, Prince of Thorns, The Dark Hills Divide, Beyond the Valley of Thorns, and The Tenth City.
Nice haul Andrea. I have one to do soon for the channel. Been collecting since about the last week of January. I still have 2 books coming for review and then a book I ordered. Hopefully they all show up soon.
Janie wrote: "Corey I want to get that book."You should Janie, I hear fascinating things about it, my Mom recommended it to me.
