Okay, cool. I thought so, but just thought I'd ask. I hadn't realized that it won a Pulitzer and that King thinks so very highly of it. Thank you! I really want to read it!

'Highly' is an understatement, SK writes in his review:
"“The Goldfinch” is a rarity that comes along perhaps half a dozen times per decade, a smartly written literary novel that connects with the heart as well as the mind."

Hi Everyone, I'm not new here, however I don't often feel well enough to be online. Anyway, I'm 'so' excited about this for more than one reason. One is that two years ago I had finally gotten to owning all except two of Jodi Picoult's books and then my girls and I lost everything, including my health which makes this post one I'm so grateful for. Trying to rebuild all of her books and now catching up on the latest.....Anyway, a ton of smiles when this This arrived yesterday!!! The cover is Gorgeous :*)
by Jodi PicoultI've been able to rebuild 8 of the 18 books I had and even though the losses of health, everything we owned and most painfully, the relationships ruined from it all I'm so grateful to be able to add some happy back into my "library" and my life.
Also bought:
because even though I'm not super religious, the serenity prayer is a life long prayer close to my Heart. Wonderful books , imho.
because it's about time I did, lol.
because I'm dying for something creepy scary.
and the rest of the series. A few more and some kindle books. I've gone totally and irresponsibly one-click crazy during some seriously bad days. In need of books anonymous support group xD
I hope you're all happily reading and having a wonderful day/night :) Thank you for letting me share all that. I'm alone in the world off the internet so I appreciate being able to share here with people who 'get it' and appreciate our book love <3
M. Lynn, I loved this post of yours and I am sorry you have not been well and wish lots of healing to come your way. I too have been collecting Jodi Picoult books and I actually just finished one in 1 day mind you, it is called Between the Lines. I really liked the story. HAHA you will find a support group here but only in the form of "BUY MORE BOOKS" lol We are all book lovers here and we support the others addictions.
I haven't bought them yet, but here's my list that I plan on buying very soon:The Name of the Wind
The Wise Man's Fear
American Gods
Edit: Could only get these three, but that's better than nothing!
In the past week I bought A New Darkness by Joseph Delaney and The Whispering Skull (Lockwood & Co., #2)

I just read your post and now I'm crying. Happy crying because your reply absolutely made my night. The fact that you cared enough about a post I was embarrassed to post, is filed with so much more care and kindness than I get at home. So, through my happy grateful tears.......Thank you 'so' much for taking your time to reply. It means the world and filled my bleeding, broken, empty heart with something good.
I'm sending endless thanks your way. One on every single star in the sky :')
