Yay yesterday I got to go back to our UBS been a few weeks and I got 4 books for about $8. So I got A Density of Souls and Scarpetta, both in hardback and then I found a couple of House of Night books for my daughter.

Janie I have never read anything by Patricia Cornwell, but I hear a lot of good things about the Scarpetta series.

Corey | 1411 comments Had some time to kill today, so guess where I went, Goodwill, where else, right? LOL! Today I got Journey To The Center Of The Earth, and Protect And Defend by Vince Flynn.

Oh so you've never read anything by her either, well you know what I always say, first time for everything. LOL!

Judy | 234 comments I loved Patricia Cornwall Scarpetta books. I think I've read them all, the early ones are the best

message 2908: by Dustin (new)

Dustin | 797 comments Years ago, I read the first Scarpetta book, Postmortem. I enjoyed it overall but found the writing and character development lacking. I also found it somewhat predictable and cliche.

message 2909: by Judy (new)

Judy | 234 comments Yes I know they were a bit predictable but I did enjoy them, especially the early books. I guess at the time it was interesting - forensics before CSI was on TV constantly.

I enjoyed it, too, for the most part.

Thanks Corey. The Finisher will be my first one of his novels. Can't wait to check it out. it's his first young adult book too.

I was rather impressed to find several books from the same author in a charity shop. After being recommended the author by a RL friend, I couldn't pass up the chance to get them all for so cheap!
