Just brought Running with the Firm by James Brannon. He was the undercover policeman who went undercover with football hooligans. He wrote the book iD film and this is his real life account. Can't wait to read it. Sounds fascinating.

Wow! Those look great! And, I love your "display" of them! Beautiful!

I think I could bury myself in books in a room and feel completely content. Uh oh, my poor kids, what do they have to clean up when I die!? Tee hee hee

I'm starting to get more into Grisham myself, I read the Client and I'm getting close to finishing The Firm.

I bought Deeply Odd just a couple of weeks ago, I don't know if you knew this but I read that the next book in the series will be the final book.
Don't worry about it Corey, lol.I didn't even know there was going to be another book after Deeply Odd, so that's good. I still have to read Odd Apocalypse as well. Maybe I'll just start from the beginning!
None. Can't afford it right now :(
It's OK. Plenty of freebies on Amazon and I have a whole bookshelf full of books I haven't read.
I read the first 3 of the Odd Thomas series and the third one really got very boring for me. I will not read anymore of them I don't think.
Cindy, Amazon is so great for free ebooks, I could waste an entire day away there.

Mark bought three sci-fi-ish books I don't know, and I bought The Silence of the Lambs by Thomas Harris.
Recently I bought on my Nook, Night Swim by Jessica Keener (free Friday selection) and bought Joyland by Stephen King and Mr. Mercedes also by Stephen King which I'm reading now. Kathryn...how is The Red Dragon? I'm planning on reading that next after Mr. Mercedes..

Janie if I'm reading a book that isn't that great I sometimes say to myself that life is too short to waste on a book like this.
Went to Goodwill today and blew $40! How does that happen?! Got:The Dress Lodger
, The Secret History of the Pink Carnation
and The Masque of the Black Tulip
, The Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide
, Others
, plus 7 romances I won't bother to list (though it was exciting because all but one of them were ones I needed off of my wishlist for series and stuff!), and about 10 books for the kid, plus 2 for my friend, and 3 for her kid :D
How are you liking those books Kathryn? I've always been scared to watch the movies and I hear SotL is amazing.
HAHA Kit I hear ya, before you know it you are buying out the store because the deals are so awesome! Enjoy your books!
I made a quick trip to Ollie's. I got
and
. Both were hardback books. I got them both for a total of $5.00.

Kathryn...how is ..."
Hi Ella and Victor, sorry I am just now responding! I have been busy with something going on, and haven't been on GR too much. Anyways, I'm about 130 pages in, and I like it so far. The writing is a little different, but every author has their own voice, and I'm getting more used to it. It's probably because it's my first Thomas Harris. I've already picked up a copy of Silence of the Lambs. Ella, you may have already started this, and if so, I hope you're enjoying it. :)
I just bought The Iliad for my Kindle for £0.00.I have never read it before but I want to try to read the classics.
Hi Kathryn ...um no..haven't started Red Dragon yet...still reading Mr. Mercedes . I should be done with it soon but I hear you, been busy as well! Not enough hours in the day! I'll download a sample and see how that goes. :)
While waiting for my car to get serviced yesterday, I walked up and checked out this little used book shop I've been wanting to check out. Maybe I'm spoiled by Goodwill's cheap prices on books, but this place was expensive! Beat-up kid's books were $4 and up, used paperbacks were also $4, hardbacks were $6 and up... I was like, sheesh! Are you selling used books, or new books? At those prices you'd think they'd be new! Was a totally cute little shop though, in a real old building with creaky wood floors and stuff. I spent a good chunk of time browsing around, but had to carefully pick and choose what to buy as I couldn't afford all the ones I wanted, lol. I ended up with:Stardust
Lost
The Mysterious Benedict Society
I'll probably go back there sometime, but now I know to bring more cash xD
Kit the UBS I go to is a half priced book store. But they have great sales racks that I always hit first for $1 and $2. Most of the books though are in great shape.
Oh yea, the ones I bought were all in practically new condition, it just surprised me, lol. I'll definitely go back in the future :)
Isn't it fun finding new book stores? I love it! I go to mine so much they know who we are now LOL We were told that we are one of the best families they have shopping there! LOL

Just got the last 3 books in the Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa today. My friend Liz from Book tube sent them to me. I love her to death! She is so sweet! She has been downgrading on her library and she thought of me. So excited to have the series, now I can read them!
