I just bought a Georgette Heyer I've never read, Lady of Quality. It's a 1972 first edition, very well preserved, and it cost me the equivalent of £2! I bought it in Johannesburg.

I bought the complete Colin Dexter set of Inspector Morse books, in a charity shop, still sealed in its cellophane, so brand new, for £7 - it's 14 books! I also bought the entire Narnia Collection for £3 in the same store.

Thanks Guys - I left myself a little short on other items, but I could not resist those, and they were unable to hold them for me. Thankfully, I get paid weekly, so I should be okay for the other items til then :)

Lady~ I am excited to read it. I checked it out from the library some years ago, but never got to it. I couldn't believe it was only $1.50 at my local Goodwill store, plus it's hard cover and in great condition. Definitely a steal!
Yesterday I got my copy of Black Hawk Down and today I went to Goodwill and got Black Cross by Greg Iles and Op Center Mission of Honor by Tom Clancy.
