Great haul Janie! i love mitch alboum-enjoy your books!
Thanks Rachel and Alondra!
Nope Alondra I have not yet read that series. I am not even sure why I bought it since it is fantasy. I guess I just really wanted to try something else in the genre. We will see what happens.
Rachel I have read For one more day and loved that one. So when I find his books, especially on the sales racks, then I get them. They are heartwarming, quick, fun reads. I still wanna read the Timekeeper too!

Summer Knight which is another in the Dresden files, which I am hooked on. Amazonia, which was recommended by Veronica, there is also a huge following for him, so want to check that out. The Cat Who Saw Stars, which is a cute little series so far, namely because of the cat. :Dalso got Daemon, which sounds promising; The Bat (which will NOT pull up) by Jo Nesbo; and Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe, which i read a long, long time ago. I want a fresh reread of the book, so i don't count it on my TBR. :D
Kathryn wrote: "Alondra, I have Amazonia, too. If you want, we can a buddy read. :)"i will let you know... between that, Joe Ledger, Wool series and Dresden file... so much to choose from!! Phew!
For the first time ever I bought books online:Jane Eyre and Gone with the Wind (man it's long!). Love Dover. Even where I live their editions are so cheap.
Got Kushiel's Scion
from PBSwap and picked up Omnitopia: Dawn
from the Dollar Tree, it sounded interesting.
Just loaded my Kindle with some more books. And some I am very excited for such as Flesh Worn Stone and Planet Urth. So many good books free for Kindle. I like to make runs there like once a month and see what they have to offer!
You really had a great haul Heather! I love haul videos anyway! HAHA! I am so addicted to books!
Heather (ChannelHMC) wrote: "To many to list, so here is my video with them lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FUbX3..."Thanks! I like a good haul video too.
I went to Walmart yesterday, to buy I, Frankenstein since it just came out. But, I couldn't help myself but look down their book aile. I ended up purchasing
Gavin wrote: "That was a nice haul, Heather. Reminded me that I haven't added the Wind on the Willows to my TBR."Thanks Gavin. I just finished reading Wind on the Willows. Was a fun and whimsical read.
Glad you enjoyed Heather. Waiting on some books in the mail to do my latest book haul. I hate waiting. LOL
Janie wrote: "Glad you enjoyed Heather. Waiting on some books in the mail to do my latest book haul. I hate waiting. LOL"I know what you mean Janie. My last haul I waited a little over 3 weeks to get all the books in. Can't wait to see what goodies you got!
Went out to one of the thrift stores and I bought The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and Term Limits by Vince Flynn.
Hit up Goodwill yesterday and got:A hardback copy of Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter
, I had it in paperback, but hardbacks are better. The Man in the Picture
The Lightning Thief
All the Living
Two books in the Pennyfoot Hotel historical mystery series Shrouds of Holly and another one I can't recall the title at the moment.
Plus the whole set of Twilight books in hardback for my friend who's been wanting them, and four books for the kid. Was a good trip I think.
Great good will haul Kit! I am going to go there tomorrow and see what they have. Last time I went they had a ton of new books in there, it has been a couple of weeks.
I think I might shimmy off to one of the other ones tonight, I got a couple bucks burnin' a hole in my pocket xD
Goodwill was good to me again. From this one I picked up:Wool
The Monstrumologist
And most exciting of all, The Hostile Hospital
. I've been working for nearly 4 years collecting this series in hardback whenever I found them on any Goodwill trips or yard sales, and at long last, I found the last one I needed! I was doing the happy dance. Also got a book for my friend, four for her little girl, and eight for my kiddo. I love book hunting! :D
Yay holly nice haul! I too want to collect the Snicket books. I have 3 of them all hard back, and I can get all of them easily, just not wanting to pay the $6 each on them right now. The 3 I got were all a $1 on the sales rack so I am hoping I will find more there again, or I might just break down and start buying them. Either way, glad you got your last one! YAY!
