JanieWell I am due to finish both Divergent and The Chaos Trilogy this month so I needed a new series of books. That and the covers were so pretty lol.
I bought A Long Way Down and I got these to review from the publisher: The Girl with All the Gifts and The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August
I've just purchased Warrior Cats series (the first 18). It's a kids series I want to read, then gift it to my 7yr. old granddaughter . I love being able to discuss books with her! She's been read to from birth and started trying to read when she was 3! She already reads at a third grade level! She will love these books, I'm sure!
Hub ordered Tilt, by Ellen Hopkins for me. It was just released in paperback! YAY! This is the final book of hers, I have bought them all. She does have 2 new ones coming out though. Tangled and Rumble. Looking forward to both of those as well.
Yesterday I was in Amsterdam with my boyfriend and I just had to visit Waterstones. I bought The Cuckoo's Calling there.Today I ordered some books.
- Butcher's Crossing
- Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children
- Hollow City
I just bought The Last Juror by John Grisham and Prior Bad Acts by Tami Hoag, I've never read Tami Hoag but I love murder mysteries so I'll give her a shot.
Thea wrote: "just downloaded 2 new books today I'm on a Harlan Coben kick so reading all his books. just bought "Caught" and "Stay Close""Harlan Coben is awesome! Loved Caught; haven't read Stay Close. Hope you enjoy them!

It's not a book, but it has to do with a book; My hubby bought me the 1st season of A Game Of Thrones for my birthday so now I have to find some time to finish the book so I can watch it!!!!!
Kathryn wrote: "Yesterday I bought: No Second Chance-Harlan Coben

Play Dead-Harlan Coben
Presumption of Death-Perri O'Shaughnessy

Got some good ones Kathryn! Hope you enjoy them!

No, I haven't read any of them. Wouldn't mind checking them out though.
Holly wrote: "It's not a book, but it has to do with a book; My hubby bought me the 1st season of A Game Of Thrones for my birthday so now I have to find some time to finish the book so I can watch it!!!!!"OMG!!! I love GOT. I am truly hooked. Waiting for the next book to drop in 2015
I bought today three Shakespeare plays they are Anthony And Cleopatra, Love's Labor's Lost, and The Comedy Of Errors
Thea wrote: "Holly did you read the Mickey Bolitar books was thinking of getting them but kind of not sure since they are marked as young adult."
Thea I read the Mickey Bolitar and they are awesome imo. I am now starting on Myron Bolitar. I have 6 out of the 10.

I got my paycheck yesterday, and today was a beautiful sunny day, so I went out and got new books:The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne
An Experiment in Love by Hilary Mantel
The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath
We Need to Talk About Kevin by Lionel Shriver
How to Be Good by Nick Hornby
Fever Pitch by Nick Hornby
High Fidelity by Nick Hornby
The Beach by Alex Garland
A Widow for One Year by John Irving
On the Road by Jack Kerouac
The Library of Unrequited Love by Sophie Divry
I have already read A Widow for One Year, but I found it in a thrift shop and felt like I'd like to own a copy. :)
This is my biggest book haul ever, which I believe should last me through the rest of the year. :D
Andi great haul!! I wish I could say it would last me to buy that many books, but nope I have to go out at least 2-3 times a month for books just because I love books that much and I know that eventually I will read everything I own.
Veronica wrote: "Holly wrote: "It's not a book, but it has to do with a book; My hubby bought me the 1st season of A Game Of Thrones for my birthday so now I have to find some time to finish the book so I can watch..."I can't wait to watch the series. I'm very excited! Now, if only I had time to finish the book...
Good haul Andi. I really enjyed A Widow for One Year; John Irving is awesome. I can't wait to get to A Prayer for Owen Meany.
If you like John Irving then you should read The Cider House Rules. It is a great book. Although the subject matter might be a little hard for some people.
The movie is good too. I love Michael Caine:)
I have tried The World According to Garp, but couldn't quite get into it. I should try some of his other books.
Judy I like some YA, but I have not read Age of Miracles. Who is the Author of that Judy? There are several listed.
The author is Karen walker. It is a bit scifi but I found it interesting. Not a typical doomsday plot. Makes you think of the things you take for granted
Most recently I have gotten Nevermore, Mockingjay in paperback to match my other two, Tilt, and Divergent in hardback to match the rest of the trilogy, The Here and Now from Net galley to review for the Author.
Ooh Mockingjay is in paperback now? I've been waiting for it to be in pb because the first two I bought were. Will probably grab that soon then :D
Picked up The Bourne Identity and The Bourne Ultimatum at an op shop for really cheap. I want to read them before I watch the movies.
I pre ordered this last week but it arrived today on the release date and I can't wait to finish what I'm reading to get to it. I just got
. It's a frist edition Hard cover and the next time Jeffery Deaver is in town I will have him sign this one too. I love new books. Since this is a collection of short stories I might have to start this now and read a story at a time.
Andi wrote: "Janie, the Divergent trilogy is on my to-read list. Can you recommend it?"
Andi yes I recommend The Divergent Trilogy to those who like YA or Dystopian. If you don't like YA then you prolly wont like this trilogy.
