I went to Half Price Books today and spent the last of my Christmas money. On the clearance rack I bought hardcover copies of Angels & Demons by Dan Brown and Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer.
On the "New Books Rack" I bought a hardcover of The Coldest Girl in Coldtown, hardcover of A Thousand Spendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini, and a trade reprint paperback of A Clash of Kings. I also got a trade paperback copy of A Game of Thrones. It is the old yellow/orange cover.
I also bought Everybody Sees the Ants by A.S.King and Frostbite by Richelle Mead.
Well, the other Goodwill was unexciting as well. Dagnabbit. I did score a few for the kiddos though, so it wasn't a total loss.

Nice list Victor. I recently bought Everybody Sees the Ants and I'm hoping to read it this year, it sounds really different.
I have just received my copy of Magyk from a book swap site I use. In the UK we are very lacking in second hand bookshops in fact I can't think of one in my local area. It is always nice for that reason to get a cheap book, in this case FREE. Can't wait to start it.
Victor nice haul of books for you!
Kit sorry you did not have a lot of luck at the good wills. I hate that. Ours has quite a few books but not always ones I want.
Yay Sam! I am glad you got Magyk! Can't wait till you can get to it. I will start Flyte in February. Can you use Amazon? The third party companies always have great deals on books. I hate that you don't have any used book stores in your area.

JanieYes I use Amazon third party a lot. Would love an actually shop to go and wonder around and sniff the books if that makes sense. Have always said if I won the lottery that will be my job. Set up a second hand book shop with a big comfy sofa in for me lol.
I bought a copy of Lyra's Oxford
as I liked the Dark Materials books. Now I'm just waiting for it to arrive. I actually ordered it a week ago, so I'm wondering where it is.

Wondering around and sniffing the books makes perfect sense Sam! I love to go to the bookstore and just browse the aisles. There is nothing better I think then to actually feel the book in your hands.

It made my birthday extra great! Thank you!! I'm not sure what is up with my sound and video being off sometimes, but I got frustrated with having to re-do it for the hundredth time. Maybe this weekend Mark and I can set up the video camera and I can try that out. :)
