Anna and the French Kiss by Stephenie Perkins
Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephenie Perkins
Ink by Amanda Sun
Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Tayler

So today, yes, we visited my favorite place....I get books at Dollar General too! :) I've found keepers there before, Ray Bradbury, Richard Matheson, others. They have good deals. This summer, they had hardbacks of

in with the selection. As for The House on Durrow Street, I loved that series. Major love. Lol. I hope you like it when you get to read em :D
Kit thanks! I was so drawn to the cover of that book. I just have to get the first one so I can start it. LOL
Well, it was one of those promotional deals from Amazon, where it was temporarily $1.99. It's where they pick four new books which either I guess haven't been released yet, but will be soon, or they've just released the paper version, so you get to choose one of them, and they are all $1.99. It sounded good. haha!I have been considering reading it now, though. :)
My books from Amazon were supposed to come on Saturday but they came a day early:) I got three paperbacks and four hardcovers. Paperbacks are:
House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski, Angelfall by Susan Ee, and I Hunt Killers by Barry Lyga. In hardcover I got:
The Darkest Minds and Neverfade by Alexandra Bracken
Allegiant by Veronica Roth
and The Diviners by Libba Bray
Ordered 6 or 7 books from Amazon; including The Dinner which is supposed to be crazy (lots of drama and hellraising in a family). I am looking forward to that one.I also got The Serpent's Tale, Skulduggery Pleasant #2 (My son recommended these to me), Rage Within; Autumn and the Howling.

Read this review prior to House of Leaves. https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
This sums it up nicely; besides, I love Wil Wheaton!
I just purchased a book that was highly recommended since I liked the Game of Thrones series -
. I plan on starting this series in 2014
I liked that review, Alondra. I want to read HoL next but I need to read something small to be ready for our Allegiant buddy read:)

ok so I got to the UBS today and got some great books, most on the sales rack which I love. So for the sale books I got, Play Dead, The Clan of the Cave Bear, Praying for Sleep, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Dead Right, Dark Summer. And then not on the sales rack I got Graceling and Fire. I am looking forward to reading all of these.
Kathryn, I have heard a lot about the series. So I decided to pick up the first one since it was on the sales rack.
S/L edition of The Damnation Game by Clive Barker.
I'm gonna be eating peanut butter sandwiches and pasta for a month to pay for that one...
I don't know who the cover artist is, but it is striking. The book sold out pre-publication at the publisher 8 hours after it was announced.EDIT: The artist is Æsthetic Cataclysm. I had to google that one.
I picked up a historical mystery at the dollar store yesterday,
. Looked interesting, add it to the pile... :)
So I hit the UBS again today because they had a 20% off everything sale so I knew I had to go, and when I say 'had' I mean that. LOL Anyway I got a pretty good haul, so here we go. I found these murder Mysteries by JoAnne Fluke, that I thought would really be fun to read. Carrot Cake Murder, Strawberry Shortcake Murder, Cherry Cheesecake Murder, Sugar Cookie Murder. Then I bought one on accident that I thought was a Fluke book called Death of a Kitchen Diva, but that should be fun too regardless. James Patterson's The Quickie, I also got the first book I needed to Tami Hoag's Deer Lake series called Night Sins. I also got Nightrise for the Gatekeepers series by Horowitz that hub wants to try. The first one in the series we have coming from Amazon. Also got Awake at Dawn, book 2 of the Shadow falls series that Hub has started. I plan on reading it just have not gotten around to it yet. Also got House of Sand and Fog, Unforgettable, & Drinking Closer to Home. And then lastly I got 3 of the Lemony Snicket books, The Grim Grotto The Slippery Slope, and The Carnivorous Carnival. And that wraps it up.
Wow! You did have a great haul!! We could read House of Sand and Fog together sometime. I have it, but have yet to read it. I've heard it's good.
Yea we can do that Kathryn! You know I love buddy reads. I am trying to finish up Ashes to Ashes but my eyes are getting heavy.

I just need The Twelfth Card, which is book 6, but I have a feeling, I could ask for it for Christmas because I won't be starting the series until next year. And if I don't get it, I know I might get some money so I can buy it. Hehe.....
Alondra, thank you every finger crossed helps a lot. LOL
Kathryn I can pick it up for you if you'd like. I might be going there this week.
