Doughnuts and coffee are definitely a winning combination, Jackie.

I just find that I can't really adore tea the way I adore coffee. My breakfast coffee is like a meal...life sustaining...

I tried to get into that mate drink (it has one of those little symbols over it that makes its pronunciation sound like mah-tay), but it tastes like really bad tea.Has anyone had some? We have one of those local drink bars that specializes in it.
I find mate (they always called it yerba mate around here) tastes best when I can't taste it - for example, in a smoothie.
Are you in Champaign Illinois, Larry? Or are you in a champagne bubble bath? That is it! You're on the cruise with Kevin!
I just signed up for the Tour de Palm Springs, taking place Feb. 12. If anyone reading this lives nearby, remember to wave as I go by.
I think I've recovered. Woke up with what I thought was a hangover. Turned out to be projectile v., chills, couldn't keep anything down for five hours, flu stuff. And yes, I have had my flu shot. No more wine for me right now thanks very much.
Yup. Thanks, Jim. Were you supposed to fly somewhere today?? I see Air Tran canceled all flights in & out of Atlanta.
Larry not Jim. Do you travel often Jim?
It snowed maybe 5-6 inches here. Cold and bright sun out now. Marla Singer and Leah and I snuggled up inside.

I ended up just bairly making my connection in Denver today (had to run from B to A conourse)-- even though the second flight was about 40 minutes late leaving Denver due to de-icing. I made it to Portland, though. Almost on time, too. It's a bit cold here, too -- though not like home.
Right now I'm trying soooooooo hard not to eat one of the donuts I saw upstairs. I've passed by them twice without caving, but now I'm hungry. Attempting to stave it off with tamari almonds.
Resist Sarah, donuts go straight to your hips.
Right now I'm planning a possible trip to Washington, DC for this weekend. Our nephew is getting married later this year & this would be an opportunity to meet the fiance.
Right now I am suffering a sinus headache, wishing I lived in Canada and wondering what tamari almonds are.

If we get to town, I'll try to get us to your place. Where is it?
Right now I'm trying to figure out how I'm gonna use my extra small daily moleskine planner. It's just so cute!
I'm wondering which microwave you've decided on, Lg. I'm considering buying a new one and giving my old one to my son. What would you recommend?
I don't know enough to recommend, I'm relying on other people's reviews. I'm leaning towards the Sanyo EM-S6588S because it's $100, free shipping, and averages 4 out of 5 stars with 27 reviews on Amazon.
I can't really complain. My GE Spacemaker was a hand-me-down, it lasted me maybe 15 years, and it was manufactured in 1989.

The Spacemaker was a good old gal, then. Thanks for the info. I usually go with the Amazon reviews, too. They seem to come from real buyers, but you never know for sure. Wish there was an independent site to consult, but I haven't found one that's free.
You can know for sure on Amazon. If it's from a real purchaser, it has text just below their name that says so. Something like, "Amazon verified purchase."
Lobstergirl wrote: "Trying to decide what microwave to buy. Mine just died."I have an Amana combination microwave / convection oven, LG. It is great for holidays, when my big oven is full I can even use the convection to roast a chicken. It browns and everything.
Mine is about 12 years old, but I believe Amana still makes them--they are larger than most microwaves, but very handy.
CR can be helpful, but there's a subscription cost. My wife has an online account which we do access prior to big purchases. Amazon ain't bad, though, as a free solution.
Sally wrote: "I love reading reviews of products on Amazon."When you're reading them, be sure to click on the link for each reviewer that says, "see all my reviews." If they have only one, or if they review only a particular vendor, you might want to lower their credibility score during your evaluation.
Jammies wrote: "Right now I am suffering a sinus headache, wishing I lived in Canada and wondering what tamari almonds are."Jammies, do you have a Trader Joe's near you? If not, I'll send you some tamari almonds. They are roasted almonds that were roasted (or marinated pre-roast?) in tamari. They're really really good, and not salty.
Same as Britt. I don't wash it much so that the curl can have time to form. Most shampoos make my hair super frizzy. What I do is rinse it if I shower, and as it dries I put oil on my palms and work through the tangles curls.
I was wondering if you were going to go back to the Montage tonight and have an oyster shooter for me!
