Just finished
. Now I need to finish this boring non fiction
for a book club and possibly will do a reread with KH on her books, starting with:

Finished:Black Amaranth by Sasha Hibbs
I normally don’t read much YA, but this book was pretty good. I totally did not see what the ending would be. :x It seemed that it was going to be predictable … but nope! That or I am just a big dork.
Now on to a few of the books I had been waiting on that I finally got yesterday before I got my books to review. pfffft
ps: FU cliffhangers
finished listening to
my first ever audio. not to bad. really liked the Narrator.now reading
so far its actually pretty good.
Finished:One Lucky Vampire (Argeneau, #19) by Lynsay Sands
Kinda anti climactic and not too much story to it. :/ I still rather liked it, though I just finished it and am still on a bibliohigh.
@ashley:
I quit reading the shanara books after the last one before that one ... I wonder if it is any good? There are so many books for shanara now--it is daunting and I hate reading stuff out of order. It has been years since I first read the sword of shanara.... Too much to catch up on!
Finished:Blood Domination (Blood Destiny, #4) by Connie Suttle
Man, I have stuff to do, but I want to read the next one damnit.
Some one do my laundry for me ... gogogo
Know how u feel.Llaph, I love Connie Suttle and after the 4th boo of blood destiny series I fell in love with her even more and I'M had to wait for the next book to cone out, I thought I would kill someone. Ah good old days. Now I'm waiting for her last book ( at least it looks like it's going to be her last concerning Lisa and her friends) to come out in December and I'm really not a patient person: /

I'll do it, but you have to bring it over.
I would but my license exp and I am sure I won't pass the vision test now. :( I wonder if I could via mail? 1st load going, glad I don't have a lot of clothes.
Just finished
before that I finished
. Both were alright, but not the greatest thing ever. Got a little annoyed at Some Girls with the drama with the love triangle thing...and the obsession with Mallory and Catcher...it was not a book about them, please stop talking so much about them or make a book about THEM instead.
Finished:Blood Rebellion (Blood Destiny, #7), Blood Redemption (Blood Destiny, #9) andBlood War (Blood Destiny, #8), by Connie Suttle
People complained that the story totally veered from the normal vamp/werewolf type storyline … I rather liked it. I think that is mostly because I also like sci-fi and fantasy. :P
Finished:Blood Reunion (Blood Destiny #10) by Connie Suttle
I need to step away from the Suttle … or I won’t get any crap done…. Also the “one click buy” option is too tempting and there are too many books to catch up on hah. I wish my library had her other books, sheesh, submitting to the wishlist is annoying now.
They aren’t superb books and there are some stuff that is rather annoying at times to read—but they are so addicting. See how many books I went through in a few days?!

@Laph I agree there are couple annoying things but the books are addicting. You have more strength than me. I read them straight thru couldn't get anything done.
@Ashley:It would be a lot harder if my library had them. I don't think I would have stopped till I read them all if I could get them for free. lol
Finished:
Vampire Code (The Tranquilli Bloodline Series, prequel) by Celia Breslin
Finished audio book Written in Red I really like this book. Can't wait to see where it goes from here. Finished Her Dark Angel, Her Fallen Angel, and Her Warrior Angel. Nice little fast reads.
Finished Styxx. Wow this book was really long and had some big tear jerking moments. Made my head hurt since I couldn't put it down and read it in almost one very long sitting.
Also finished Haunted Moon I didn't like this Camille book as much as the others. Need time to stew about why.
Probably going to start Autumn Whispers while the series is still fresh in my head.
read
pretty fantastic book though gosh the ending was so annoying!! I cant believe they ended it there!! I need to know what happens next!!also read
which I actually really enjoyed, for some weird reason I find books like these rather interesting (weird cause I usually dislike historical fiction) the ending was a little anticlimactic though :(now to do an EPIC buddy read with a bestie -
its going to be AMAZING!!!!while im waiting to start I might give
a go :)
Zeenat wrote: "Reading

(and if this book continues to be whining, it will be last book.... )"It does continue whining. And then gets worse. I stopped after book three. Should have ended there. Everyone I know who read the next books regretted it.
Also, just finished
. I love Gail Carriger. She is hilarious. And so was this series. So sad that the spin-off has been pushed back...
I too stopped @ the 3rd book . I should change the ratings . I don't wan to read them again.thx ambien in middle of post
Finished:A Stroke of Dumb Luck (Colbana Files, #0.5) and Blade Song (Colbana Files #1) by J.C. Daniels
Freebies are eeevil…. Specially when you have shit to do!
@Aileen:
I was only able to read the first book and I got annoyed at it and didn't go back to read the 2nd book. That and I think something got my attention too, I forget....
I personally love Darkest London series by Kristen Callihan for a series that is pnr and historical.
I need to read something that I will like before my mind blows. The last few books have made me want to scream. Any recommendations?
Try the deadwood series. I love them. The characters are great. It's funny, light hearted, romance, mystery and some paranormal. I like that the romance took a while to build. There are 4 books at the moment and they are written by Ann Charles.
I finished
. It was solidly OK. If I get around to reviewing it, because midterms and bad weather make me lazy, I'd probably give 3 stars.
I've been reading really badly written ARCS, so I needed something good. Especially cause right now I'm reading
and it seems super preachy. So I decided to read
, a lot of you gave it good reviews.I'm also rereading the black wings series, starting with
I just got around to reading
and it wasn't my favorite InCryptid short. It's sad because hearing the way Verity spoke about Antimony in the Cryptid books made me think I'd love her. But really...she's kind of bitter. And rather a bitch. I didn't like her attitude toward Verity at all, considering how much Verity obviously cares for her.
@claire:I couldn't read that series past the 2nd book. it Was just to not me. Have you tried Demons Prefer Blondes (Demons Unleashed #1)
by Sidney Ayers ? that reminded me of the Accidental Demon Slayer books I read.
@Zeenat:
Be warned that series does take a big turn after book 5 I think it was. The last book in the series is not much like the first at all ... I mean they have the same names ... but yeah. A lot of the haters bitch about that part. I rather liked the turns it made, it was just addicting to me. lol
Aren't reading arcs that you don't like at all and coming up with a review that doesn't say "omg ur book sux so bad" fun? hah I have gotten pretty lucky lately, for which I am thankful.
@Claire - I agree with your view on Antimony 100%. She really has some sort of hate thing going on towards her big sister, and it seems most of the family in general. But it is what it is. I think I would rather the books continue with Verity as the main character, as I'm not sure the others will be as interesting. Still, Seanan might surprise me with the next couple of books.@Zeenat - I LOVE the Black WIngs series; it's not the greatest ever written, but there is something about it that just seems to make the books satisfying reads, and I think I gave them 4 star ratings due to the fact that they are just good reads. I believe the next one in the series comes out the 29th of this month; I'm really looking forward to it.

But it is what it is. I think ..."I don't understand Antimony's attitude in the least. Clearly her childhood wasn't conventional, but there doesn't seem to be any shortage of love in the Price household. I also have a great relationship with my little sister, so this level of antagonism between siblings is completely alien to me. I'm not really looking forward to narration from Antimony's POV. From Verity's descriptions of her as the brilliant strategist and her love of poisons, I was expecting someone colorful. But maybe Seanan will tone down the bitterness in a full length novel?
@Llaph Are you recommending the other book, or warning me off?? =p
@Claire:Recommending! Sheesh! I remember you liked Monster in my Closet and I didn't because I didn't like the humor she used and I remember I didn't like the accidental demon slayer for the same sort of reason ... then I remembered that book and thought you might like it too. I am not saying your tastes are wack, but just different from mine. Hrm, either way it seems to me like I am talking smack.
I will warn you off from the 2nd book in that series though, not for the humor, but for the totally crappy characters and wtf parts of the plot.
Duane and Claire--I had the same view as you on the antimony short. Not a fan of her at all. I gave the story just 3 stars, It's super rare for me to give anything of SM's a 3 star.Duane, I also love the black wings stories. They aren't super great, writing style wise, and she jumbles a lot, but something about the books just make me want to read them. I'm rereading the series in preparation for the book coming out at the end of the month. If for nothing else, to enjoy (view spoiler)
Llaph, I like surprising and different turns, so now you got me intrigued. I finished the book 10 minutes ago, and it was pretty kick butt. I couldn't put it down. I think I like it because the character is 40 something years old, so no young adult or early 20's annoyingness. There were some stuff that was weird, but I enjoyed it enough to give it 4 stars. On to
["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
@Zeenat:There are parts that annoyed the crap out of me, but I was still sucked into reading ... and reading. I think next month I will start the next series that she wrote for that world. I know that there are a few after that one. I went back to check that I had heard it right "47?" really? Wtf lemme go look again....
She gets them all back by the end of the series ... in a way ... so keep that in mind lol.
It is like book crack
Finished:Cold Blooded (Jessica McClain #3) by Amanda Carlson
I liked the book, just something about it rubs me the wrong way and I can’t put my finger on it to complain. I hope it doesn’t follow the pattern of
1 book – important person gets nabbed
2 book – recover that person
3 book – another important person taken
4 book – gonna go get their sorry ass

My ol library has had a big influx of books that I forgot that I had been waiting for posted. I also got to see stuff I missed that looked interesting ... damn I will never catch up with all of the stuff I dl'd. Where was this shit when I spent the last two months basically re-reading my beloved series & books!
@ Llaph - if you want to continue with Connie Suttle's world then here are some helping information for the reading order: Legend of the Ir'Indicti series is the odd one cause it happens (view spoiler) So the decision when to read this series is up to you, although the main character appears in all the other series so it's better to read it quite early; High Demon series is chronologically next in the series and is more focused on Lisa's children, who you see a lot in those books; Finally we get to God Wars - the big bad are coming and THE ONE has created 3 beings called MIGHTY. We have a Mighty Hand, a Mighty Mind and a Mighty Heart. In previous series we only learn the name of the Mighty Hand and now it's the time to learn the names of the rest of them. We of course continue the story with Lisa and her friends. Hope it helps you in someway. I think I was the first one from this group to start reading Connie Suttle's books and like you can see, I'm an addict LOL :D
@ Margo:Lol, I already made notes on the next books and added them to my amazon wishlist. Hi, obsessed a wittle here, hah. I was planning on the High Demon series next! Wish my library had them all ... I could be done by now ... well maybe not that fast ... but close. lol

Kiss Across Time (Kiss Across Time #1) by Tracy Cooper-Posey
Thnx Enjee for that freebie
Read
. Trying to decide if I want to go on or not Since the series is turning anita blakey.... But if I do the next one is
.I also need to finish
. but I don't want to.......
Finished Rogue RiderI was expecting it to be the last in the series, but guess not. Next book is about Reaver and will also form a part of the Daemonica series.
I'm reading Darkhouse
as a sort of Halloween read for another group. I've read about 50% so far and it's a lot of fun. I can't say I've been scared exactly, but I'm enjoying the spooky bits!
I finished
and the two short stories after it. Started
. I am SOOOOO glad Owen is a bigger part now...Caine was getting on my last nerve. I like the way the series is progressing so far. I also forget what else I read before I finished Venom...
Finished with
and to be honest, I have no idea what to think. I give it a 3 stars because the story is good, a little predictable, and I'm not sure I'm comfortable with the ending but like I said, all in all, good story.@ Zeenat about
- welcome to the future :), I hope you will continue with the series but not everyone likes the twist that Connie Suttle did in her books, and truthfully, it gets more complicated and bizarre the father the story progresses but like I said, I'm an addict to Suttle's books :D
@zeenat:The only thing similar about that is the numbers. There is not a lot of actually hanky panky going on and what little there is is mostly fade to blackish. Really though, you don't get too much info about the mates, except if they are prominent in a book. Hard to explain because ir dumb.
@arushi:
That is another series I am obsessed about. I have been nosopatiently waiting for Reaver's book in december....
Finished:Hunted by the Others (H&W Investigations, #1) by Jess Haines
