Llaph--James Marsters, Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, reads the audio books for Dresden Files. It's the only reason why I want to listen to them.
Sadly where I get my audio books is from the NLS a div of the LoC and they have their own readers. It is rare, but it does happen, where publishers donate a copy to the NLS so you get to hear the original production/voice. Sadly that id not happen with the dresden files though ... The entire October Day series was though.... I say that because they finally put up the last three lol.
Once again, God bless libraries.
I so am not going to complain about free books I can read at anytime once I download them!I remember before I signed up with bookshare and first got my account with the NLS and was limited to listening to books on tape I was happy happy. It was almost like when I was back in HS and spent tons of time reading and in the library ... just this time I get to keep the books.
Now just to keep to a budget for buying e-books....
OMG! I got ARCs of two books I really wanted.
and
!I can't wait for the current book to be done so I can start! I'll post the reviews for those two when it's about a month out. :D
I just finished my 10th book this month,
Rogue Descendant (Nikki Glass #3) by Jenna Black. My next book is
Lethal Outlook (Psychic Eye Mystery, #10) by Victoria Laurie
I hate writing bad reviews :( but now that that is done, I can finally read the ARC of
I'll rate it when I'm done, but I won't post the review until a month before the book is due out.

rereading about tybalt always takes precedence :) LOL I'll be rereading the books soon... at least the last one.
Zeenat wrote: "rereading about tybalt always takes precedence :) LOL I'll be rereading the books soon... at least the last one."Best thing ever was that I tweeted about it and Seanan McGuire answered! Excuse me while I fangirl.
Oh and you should look at harry dresden's twitter. Our favorite wizard has a huge crush on seanan McGuire lol
Timeless Innocents by Janis Susan MayI always knew that those precious moment figurines were evil, they just have a nice name to keep you off guard.
I read the last 3 in the Toby series recently … if the audio books did not take so damn long to transfer to my reader I prolly would have started from the beginning. :x
Zeenat wrote: "Oh and you should look at harry dresden's twitter. Our favorite wizard has a huge crush on seanan McGuire lol"This is unsurprising. Does he use the twitter handle Harry Dresden or is his username something else?
https://twitter.com/HarriedWizardand all the character's have twitters lol It must be some big rpg cosplay type stuff...
I just finished Larrisa Ione's Demonica series, and i gotta say if you haven't read it....it's a must read! Today I'm starting Michelle Rowen's Bitten and Smitten, any good?
Finished:Urban Shaman (Walker Papers, #1) by C.E. Murphy
@Kimberly:
I would read the Lord of Deliverance series that comes right after Demonica series … Reaver’s book is coming out later this year too. :x
I have never read that series so, no clue!
Just finished Fifth Grave Past The Light by Darynda Jones. You'll never get less than 5 stars for her Grave series from me. I left a review. Now going to start Her Mad Hatter.
Finished:Thunderbird Falls (Walker Papers, #2) by C.E. Murphy
I think that I found a heroine that is stupider than Rachel was at the beginning of the hollows. I hope she gets smarter as the series goes along … or I get a hold of a new book to read. Right now she is soooo TSTl.
Okay so I really didn't have time lately to write more then just what I'm currently reading. Looking after other people's children can be time consuming :D. Anyway I'm still reading Sookie Stackhouse series and I'm on book #11,
, but I have to say, that I'm getting bored with this series, and I'm happy that I have only two and a half books left (plus 2 side stories)
*stands up and clears her throat*Hi, my name is llaph … and … I am a masochist.
*chorus of others*
Hi llaph.
Finished:
Coyote Dreams (Walker Papers #3) by C.E. Murphy
She is a bit less stupid now, I liked this book a lot more than the last one.
I'm putting aside the book I'm currently reading for a couple of days because I want something a bit more fun and light-hearted, so I'm finally starting
, as recommended by Claire.Looking forward to this one! :)
@ lannister:I loved that book and the sequel. Then again it spoke loud to my nerd side. Marnie is definatly not like any other heroine that I have read in pnr or uf.
I, for one, am glad I followed Claire's advice ... best two e-books that I have bought this year. (That says a lot since I am cheap lol)
Finished:Spirit Dances (Walker Papers, #6) by C.E. Murphy
I remember now why I did not start this series earlier … my library was missing book 5. Oh well! This book was a lot better than the others. I go through them so fast … I have stuff I should do too….
Man ... 4 something hours to read this book? I even stopped and ate dinner and did other stuff.
Lannister, I hope you'll enjoy
, it's really good. I'm planning on reading
(finally) as soon as I finish with Sookie's books :)
I'm afraid to say I'm not entirely feeling the love for Touched. :( To be fair, I'm only 20% in so it's too early to judge but (view spoiler) I do think the world-building with the concept of the day sitters is very original and I like that, but overall I'm not blown away so far.
I'm halfway through
. Its not a bad series at all.Could use a tweak or two here and there, but overall, still enjoyable - for a YA. ;)
Though I'm wondering what it says about me that I always seem to gravitate more to the morally ambiguous characters.

I love the slightly dubious grey characters. :D

*HUGS*!!
@ lannister:The beginning annoyed me a bit too, but it grew on me as it went along. I admit to being weird though....
Finished:
Raven Calls (Walker Papers, #7) by C.E. Murphy
And
Mountain Echoes (Walker Papers, #8) by C.E. Murphy
Wow, the books did get better. The last one was pretty good, the next one is the last one in the series. It is always nice when a series is not dragged out for forever. Seeing what Jo started at then what she became after so many books was more apparent I guess since I read them so close together. I like her a lot more now than when I first read her, not as stupid now really.
Hi all! Just popping in to say that I finished
and loved it- the old Anita is back! And that I'm doing a re-read of the October Daye series because I haven't found anything else that pulls me in. I'd forgotten how much I love it.
I may have to go back and read the other Anita books... but I don't want to reread anything, and it's been soooo long that I don't remember what happened last. lol
My favorite Anita books are Danse Macabre, Cerulean Sins, The Harlequin and Burnt Offerings.Nothing really major has happened in the last two books before Affliction (which is why I was going to quit the series). A lot of new lovers. Ugh.
